Awesome man! I decided to 'stick' with CDs only in my collection, so this is super appreciated. Some new names and great to see Infester get a mention, what a gem
I've noticed that the price of CDs are going up too fast. I buy mostly off eBay and try to keep the purchase price at under 20 euros which is the CD and shipping.. You got some great CD's
This video was a treat, so many treasures in there. The Electrocution, God Macabre, and Sentenced albums are some of my all time favorite DM records. I agree completely that Sentenced went down hill after the first 2 records. Was unfamiliar with Misery but I'm gonna check them out. Chemical Breath record I'm listening to right now, amazing stuff. Great video, keep the metal stuff coming!!
Thanks man! Glad to find another fan of Electrocution. You'll dig Misery - these two CDs are good, but Revel in Blasphemy is heavier than a ten tonne hammer.
Hi mate, I live in Tasmania and if you're ever near a city called Burnie, there's a shop called Collector's Corner. It has a great second hand metal section where most of the cds are around $20...including that Decomposed album. Worth a visit if you're ever down that way🤘🏼🤘🏼
great collection man!!! i have Infester cd , bought it many years ago and paid not much. Wow Electrocution from Italy ! My country! Burzum Cd are so expensive, i mean the first edition!. In my collection i have also this very expensive Cd : Goddefied (miniCD), the first of Pyrexia, their 1993 debut album and the Invocator debut cd album
Great to see something different from you, Simon and about time you had some metal content. Havn't heard of any of these before. Gutted has an awesome cover. Might have to look into Chemical Breath. There's re-issues available from ImportCDs and they released a compilation this year.
Nice list. I have a couple of really rare ones:- The first two Merciless albums on CD: "The Awakening" on DSP and "The Treasures Within" + Excruciate - "Passage Of Life".
Cool cd's man, but that Burzum self-titled cd is not the first press, but it is the first repress and still valuable. The first press has Vargs postal address on the rear insert.
Thanks mate, I appreciate that. I've done a bunch more videos since this one and started showing my face, my latest is a CD update if you want to check that out!
What a killer list. I been meaning to make one of these videos. Gotta check out that electrocution cd. I also agree 100% Finland has the greatest death metal
Whoop! There's a prime example of my knowledge of European countries, right there. Sorry about that. But yes, very surprising to see Apoplexy first pressing worth that much, looking at my email history I apparently paid $28 for it on ebay in 2009, nearly ten years ago to the day actually. The last one sold in April this year for $620. Huge difference!
cool man! Not too long ago i found Crematory "Denial" and Cemetary "An Evil Shade Of Grey" CDs just for 5 euros in a used cd shop. I think my luck with records has expired that day :) damn! That God Macabre cd looks killer!
The way prices going for Out Of Print CDs, I've pretty much accepted that if i miss the boat on something I'll have to listen via online platforms....but I recently went hunting for a CD copy of Cianide "The Dying Truth" and one available asking $175!! I'll wait for a possible reissue...maybe a 40 yr anniversary edition in 2032! 😄🤣
Awesome stuff mate I have always been more of a black metal fan so I don't really know to much about death metal.I have listened to a few bands and I actually enjoy it so I will definitely give these bands a fair go.Also it is fucking awesome that you own those Burzum albums. In my opinion Burzum is fucking perfection cheers brother.
Thanks man! I'm pretty evenly into death and black metal, as well as thrash, grind and deathdoom! Yeah I acquired the three Burzum from a good mate who sadly passed away, he was a little older than me and got them when they came out imported from Europe. Great and sentimental upgrade to the reissues I had
@@ExplosiveAction My biggest regret was selling Desecration 'Gore and perversion' Bought it from the same place as decomposed in their sale section for £7. Sold it in 2005 for £17 to raise money. Now worth about £200-£300.
@@ExplosiveAction there is still a copy from Japan for sale for 1300 euro on discogs. what do you think about this price. the truth is that you can't get it anywhere except this one offer. do you think this is the real price? maybe you could tell how much this cd is worth.
@@lokciepatrosia666anzejkuno4 I wouldn't know any better, but I would never ever pay that much for a CD. The first press LP came out three years before that CD and is easy to get for $50-70 so get that (and I do have it). I also have the 1995 reissue CD and I'm happy with it.
No disc rot here. Only certain pressings from certain factories succumb. De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas original DSP is one and is known for it. With over 1300 discs it's the only rotter.
According discogs my cd/vinyl/tape collection medium value is about 100k and i have lots cds and demo tapes still didn't added to discogs data base. But it's not extreme metal, it's hair glam metal stuff😂

Thanks man! Infester are death metal gold

I hear you there, sometimes (but not always) I've found an 80's LP at a quarter of the price of the CD from the same era!
Awesome collection indeed!! Some superb albums on show here!! Many of the CDs you showed are on my want list!! Great video man!! 🤘🏻
Thanks man!

Nah, terrible, simplistic goth metal. No sale. First two albums are all that matters.

Whoah! That sounds amazing. I haven't been to Tassie since I was 14! Would love to go again.
Incredible collection man!!! 🤘🏻🔥
Cheers!
Blast from the past. Would you care to do an updated version? Or a vinyl one? I know you snatched some good stuff in the meanwhile, hehe.
Hah! Perhaps. It's a little bit show-off but maybe!
Great collection good bands to love it

Thanks man! Yes the Infester cost absolutely nothing when I got it. I'd love that Goddefied! I have only the reissue of Pyrexia
Candlelight Records did reissue that Decomposed on CD few years ago
Yep they did. I picked up this og for around $50 around 2010 from memory
Amazing stack of CDs, by the way
Cheers!

Thanks mate. Gutted is solid stuff, bit like Obituary I guess. Chemical Breath is excellent, definitely get that!
Great taste in music my friend !!! I see THE CHASM stickers right there !! Do you have any albums of them? What do you think about them ?
I have all The Chasm albums except the hard to find first one. Brilliant band!
@@ExplosiveAction Awasome !! Indeed they’re pretty solid band from Aztec lands !! Fantastic band !!

Awesome on the first Merciless. I got Treasures first press recently, but that Excruciate I'll have to stick with the reissue haha
Cool cd's man, but that Burzum self-titled cd is not the first press, but it is the first repress and still valuable. The first press has Vargs postal address on the rear insert.
Thank you! You are indeed correct. I'll update my discogs. That moves it down to #9 valued AU$176
Love this allot of albums I didn't know about. Very well spoken and tried. All the praise to you my friend.

Absolutely on both counts! Electroctuion rule and so do Finland haha.
Yes, Chemical Breath was known in the scene here. The album got re-issued some time ago, i believe.
There from Belgium not the Netherlands
Hope to see more metal content. You have great taste!
Thanks mate! Love your channel. Just put a new update up minutes ago, it's half metal again.
cool list and the most expensive was really a WTF moment. One thing..."band from Slovakia" and later "this slovenian band" two different countries

Outstanding score on those!
@@ExplosiveAction yes something that will never happen again :)
Back in 90s I had OG copies of DEMILICH , GUTTED and GOD MACABRE. Bought these when they come out. But sold these in early 2000s 😢
Oh man, I know that pain too well.

Killer releases!
I've got Decomposed. Bought it for £7 in a sale back in 1998.
Great album! Things were much cheaper in 1998 haha, that's about when I picked up my Demilich in a used store for a few dollars

Metal CD prices are hotting up but there are still bargains out there to be found!
Absolutely!
Espectacular colección,purtenance,burzum,sentenced,etc👌🤘🐐
Rosemary's Baby. Like the movie.
I finally got the thing to watch this week.
Do you not find that death metal, black metal etc all kinda sounds the same. I'm not educated in these genres so maybe that's why
If I did, I wouldn't own more than one album! On the other hand I find all European power metal sounds the same. So I don't own any lol
Metal Rules
Classics.
A Necessary Evil was definitely first, the Insidious EP came about a year later
Thanks mate! I got them both used the same day at some used store in Queensland when on schoolies in 1998 lol.
Astern Diabolous EP, Sorting Of The Insects Demo THEN A Necessary Evil, Insidious afterwards
what you can say about the time befor time imperator.maybe you know how much to call for it just its loud of records version
Wow someone is trying to sell that edition for $2000 on discogs. The original LP only worth about $60

'Babe 6 CD' makes one think the label is Rosemary's Baby?
Well the label was called Rosemary's so I guess that was their idea!

Thank you! Cheers!
None of them are lets party tonight by charlie white so its useless
I don't know what that is and by the sound of it, thank fuck for that.
Out of all the places I expected to see a penguinz0 reference

never experienced CD rotting
Hey, there is a copy of Chemical Breath - Values on ebay for 6 bucks as of 5pm April 19th
There's a cd from a band called apocalypse from 1988
I don't have it but it's not priced too badly on discogs, around the $50 mark.
What about necromantia crossing the fury path. ..great album
Great album! The original cd isn't hugely valuable, Osmose must have pressed tonnes of them
I'd never pay so much money for CDs. If an album is very rare and expensive there's still the possibility to buy a bootleg CD for a small price.
No interest in bootlegs! For me it's the real thing or just go without.
Finland did have the best Death Metal. Agreed.
Finland = Winland!

Gutted expensive? I got that shit for 6 at ameoba sf
I know there's a current reissue out, was yours the original? I got mine around 2008 I think and it was dirt cheap then.
my most "expensive" CD is only $20 😆
