Just a comment on the part where they made the claim that anything donated to Goodwill goes to a good cause, that's because everyone believes Goodwill is a charity. BUT IT ISN'T. It's all pure profit going into the owners pockets, they are stores that don't have to buy stock because people give them stuff to sell. They do hire a small # of disabled people, but they don't even pay them minimum wage and they get tax breaks for hiring them. They sell some stuff cheaper than regular stores which may help out people who can't pay a lot for stuff, but there are a lot of places where you can find brand new stuff for the same price as what they sell stuff for.
Yeah. I have a Cousin that works 1 day a week at goodwill. They pay them by how many units they complete. Like for putting 4 screws in small plastic bag or putting stickers on small electronics. They don't make much money at all. He might make $8-$20 for the day. They're all Special Needs individuals and they do pick them up by van, and I suppose if it gives them a sense of accomplishment, it's okay, but I definitely agree with your comment.
No, incorrect. Goodwill stores are designated as 501c3 by the federal government and that means they are, by law, non-profit entities. Like it or not it's a fact.
a thrift store close to where I lived sold a crystal vase a few years back to a student for 50 NKR (norwegian crowns) or around 7 bucks. turned out it was from the ancient Roman empire era, and worth a neat 50 grand, or 1000x what he paid for it.
Most of the valuable horror VHS tapes are ones with oversized boxes from distributors like Midnight, Continental, Wizard and others, typically selling for $75-200 with certain titles fetching even higher prices. The highest I've seen one sell for is $1100. The reason they're so valuable is that a lot of rental stores used to throw out the box or cut it up to put in a plastic snapcase because they wouldn't fit in their display shelves. There are a few that are common and not worth more than $10 or so but the majority are worth picking up.
We had one a few years ago and didn't get too much money for it. My dad took it to a local coin collector shop and they gave us $25 for it, so he took the family to eat at a restaurant. Those days are crazy, noy time flies and changes, because it wasn't that long ago, but we fed four people for 25 bucks at a buffet.
A guy whose grandfather carried trading cards in his shop 100 years ago recently found a number of mint condition Honus cards in the attic! He wouldn't need more money than they bring at that rate, so he's honest *and* smart!

A 1943 copper can be worth hundreds of thousands of $ (or more) and a 1944 steel penny can be worth in the same neighborhood. I have heard of some selling for close to $2 million.
and just to think that I passed up on cleaning my neighbors basement out when he sold the property for 100 bucks and I got to keep whatever I wanted from the contents and I passed it up because there was no electricity or lights in the Basement and there were rats down there, so he had to do it and he found his old baseball card collection that he forgot about that had, not one, not two but 3 Micky mantle cards in it that he sold for 18k, i don't know what cards they were but he did say one was a rookie card, so I'm sure he got ripped off by the buyer of them... and just to think, someone my gut kept telling me to go do the job... my loss

The penny worth the most is a copper penny from 1943 very few made because of ww2 metal demands they were all supposed to be steel but about 200 copper 1943 penny's made it to circulation being worth 10k+
I recently bought an oriental teacup set for my 8yo daughter from goodwill for $3, there are 3 cups and 3 saucers. When we got home i realized the had a deformity int the bottom of each, kinda like the porcelain had bubbled in the bottom. after inspecting them we noticed if held up to a light it was a finely detailed picture of a Japanese Geisha Woman. Looked them up, worth about $350 each. They are WW1 era.
oh man, my dad has over 50 unopened baseball card packs from the 60's, gum still inside. Would it be more valuable to open them and find a rare card or sell as is (not like I'm going to sell them but still)?
I have thousands of baseball cards from the 50's and up that has been stored for years. I have about 300 more that came with cigarettes my uncle gave me. I have an oil painting that my great-great grandma had in her house that is very unusual, but can't find anything about the painter except people who have been trying to track down the painter because their great-great grandparents had one. He had to be somebody since everyone who inquired about him are in different parts of the world...the frame is what's amazing.
I have a hand made dresser from the 1860s with a mirror. Got it from a Victorian Inn that was once a private home. Got it for $200. Have a pic of it with an orb coming from it! Very cool find. Pretty basic stuff but pretty accurate...except for one idiotic know-nothing mistake: the steel 1943 pennies are amusing but they are the *common* ones! It's *copper* ones from that year, which weren't supposed to be made at all, which are worth a small fortune!
Don't EVER Sell or Trade the 1943 Steel and Copper Pennies at a Coin/Pawn Shop! 9 times out of 10 you will get majorly ripped off if you get Quoted $60.00-$120.00 and they quickly put that/those pennies hidden away before you can say,"Don't Keep That coin(s)" or "I want to keep this coin(s) for myself for the time being because I don't want to sell that coin(s) right now". This personally happened to my mother not that long ago in which Royally pissed me off because I knew the TRUE REAL VALUE of it/them cause I myself am an Avid Coin Collector and have been now for almost 31 years now. ... I started collecting, etc. coins when I was close to about the age of 3 years old. prior to that, my dad collected coins avidly for 68 years as he started collecting when he was a mere 4-5yrs old if that in the 1940's Era. So I do have quite a good amount of a BIG Collection of coins, mostly Silver but do have a small collection amount of gold coins to diversify the silver.
Matthew Clark i have a silver penny and and Benjamin Franklin half dollar and a couple quarters that was on the list. but i have a 1908 penny with a indian head on it.
This is a rather stupid list considering most of the stuff you're listing off people already know would be valuable. Comic books, coins, trading cards.
Me too. Actually I left them behind when I moved out at 18 and my mom eventually got rid of all my old stuff. My fault. She waited about 15 years and I never went and got 'em so I can't really be mad at her.
i have a nice collection of classic vhs movies. among them i have ( hellraiser l, ll & lll ) . i also have ( star trek l, ll, lll, lV, star trek the galileo seven & star trek generations. all are original gold series collector's editions in there original vhs sleeves. curious.. what would these movies be worth, if anything and where would be a good place to sell them if they have some value ?
Trey Stephens yes it is true Goodwill does throw stuff away even if it still works and needs fixed. it's corperate greed and honestly I hate working there
Honus Wagner is the most expensive baseball card valued @ $2.8 million. 1943 COPPER wheat penny is worth thousands, steel is worth like 9 cents. Reason being is there was a copper shortage in 1943 so they used steel, but a few copper ones were minted by accident. Wisconsin quarter where on the corn cob on the back, if it has two leafs on the left side it is worth between $500-$600 depending on condition . This video had potential, too bad they didn't fact check prior to posting.
I wonder how many of those baseball cards ended up in bicycle spokes lol. Also I'm surprised he didn't mention the Gold NES Nintendo NWC cartridges of which only 26 were made.
I've got a Beta tape, containing camcorder footage of Kevin Mitnick giving a presentation to Digital (DEC) executives, where he explains how he broke into their VAX systems & stole the software (filmed, I'd guess, late 80s). This was found in a box of someone's home-recorded tapes, about 15 years ago.
Also: HotWheels cars. Mint condition ones have sold for a lot of money and had I not always played with mine as a small human I could have mad $500 or so from a couple of the cars I own
I once had a rare pair of scissors in the shape of I think a flamingo or a stork. Few weeks later I saw a similar pair of scissors in my history text book. I tried to find them the same day, never did.
I have a sticker that I got out of a cracker jack box. It's the one of the sailor and his dog between his legs only so many of them were made. I also seen it on the antique roadshow and it was said to be worth over a million dollars
Aw, I watched this too late :( Only last week I cleared out my attic and took the ultra rare pre-WWI baseball cards, antique Japanese vase collection and still packaged mint condition collection of Star Wars figures to the dump...guess I should check earlier before next year's spring clean when I tackle the Faberge Egg collection :D
Rey T and Fluffy Fluffy Leo ~ Did you both just take my comment seriously? Good thing I just found a treasured piece of TV paraphernalia behind an old wardrobe - I am holding up the much loved and coveted 'sarcasm sign' as featured in The Big Bang Theory :D
if you paid attention, but not attention deficit disorder ! he clearly said SUPERMAN #1 SOLD FOR 1.4 MILLION so one million less than it"s rival...(pretending to calculate) would be "around" 400 000 $$ is the answer to your question.!!
When I was 5 we bought a new house, I was just walking around investigating and opened a draw. The person who use to live here left 8 rare baseball cards (probably didn't know they were a fortune) and I still have them to this day. Now i'm gonna sell em lol
Actually baseball cards are only worth a fraction of what they used to be worth. The whole market crashed in the early 90's when everyone and their brother decided they wanted to start making cards and the market got flooded with so many brands nobody could keep up. I have cards that used to be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars that wouldn't even get me $20 these days. Maybe some day they'll be worth something again, but I doubt it.
@1:20 "Banned upon their release"...um no. Those movies weren't banned. Most just sucked so badly that nobody wanted them and never justified a re-release. That's why they are rare.
I'm thinking I saw a video on RUclips where the USA made ones from the 70's are of some value. Mostly ones in mint condition, rare ones and ones with parts that broke or came off like the van w/surfboards.
My Dad has a HUGE collection of baseball cards! He started the collection years ago and has added to it since getting what he started, back from my Grandma who held on to it for him since we had gotten evicted from our house back in 2002 when I was 16. He has several binders full plus a couple of conatiners holding several hundred more cards each cause he had separated them like that. If he knew they are worth millions I think he'd crap his pants! O_O
Hmm I was hoping this might show some items that most people would not think were valuable. Instead it shows all the standard things that are worth money. Baseball cards, star wars figures, paintings, Chinese vases - gee who would have guessed these things would be valuable.
I'm wondering about a Sears coin I had from years ago. It was a penny, but had a plastic silver outline around it detailing the Sears store. I can't find anything about these today.
i have a vhs/dvd player all in one, but why not mention tube eq or the 1957 gibson les paul !? goodwill makes me sick any more, asking the poor people who go there to " round up" to donate ..that is why they are there in the 1st place, being broke trying to save $
with everyone loving downloaded beat rap crap with no musical instruments , its no surprise.. why or how can you stay in for pro business ..and gibson is for the pro making electric music if everyone loves ..downloadable beats and/or stations mostly only preferring .. its a shame esp to future generations to have to pay so much ..for only a chance in a million that your song will become a classic.. many wont try any more and real instrumental music will fade.. hopefully after im dead and gone tho." really just classic rock n country" is all that is left, some gems found here in there tho. obama started this with the ban on their wood in 08... many don't know about.. sad another american co leaving also and people forced to pay for what the usa used to be and live in the past :(... but its what the new young generation want ..its seems ..thanks for letting me know
Your correct lots of 90s cards are worth less than the day u got them the Mass producing of these cards ruined it for lots of would be collector's around 86 -87 they more than doubled production I have 100000s of cards and yes some are worth a fee bucks and some older worth way more but anything 87 to currently not so much keep them for another 20 years or so and maybe the supply will grow lower not to mention the steroid area when a home run hitters card goes from 10$ to 10cents over night oh if I could take back all the stale gum and cardboard from over the years I would have invested elsewhere but I was 8 years old lol
A couple years ago I went to the Goodwill store by my house and I got a 3 row shoe box full of baseball cards of all Mike Piazza, it what's full of inserts and rookie cards, which I only paid $20 for and I sold it on eBay for $600 about 6 months ago! And I went to a pawn shop about 5 years ago and got a Nitro powered RC 4 by 4 truck that I paid $100 for, I took it to the Hobby Shop to get a receiver for it, they told me that it was probably worth $1,000 or more easily.
I have a lot of these Disney Black Diamond VHS Tapes brand new sealed still I even put a plastic cover over it for more protection I wonder how much I can get for them.

People MAY own a lot of things, but a japanese promo card that was only given to a few kids back in the 90s is not one of them.
You may win the lottery.
A year too early! The big $$$$ penny IIRC is the 1909 SVDB...
A good trick is to pretend that you are interested in BUYING the coin. Then you will get an honest price.
This is a rather stupid list considering most of the stuff you're listing off people already know would be valuable. Comic books, coins, trading cards.
How about old Lionel trains?
The Mantle isn't the most valuable of all. This is: Honus Wagner - $2.8 Million. Year/Company: 1909 - 1911 Sweet Caporal T206 Series.
Yup even a PSA 10 311 52 Mantle could barely break 2 million
Came here to say that myself ...well spotted..
yeah didn't see your post before i posted mine
Was going to say the same before I saw your comment.
Guy Code Academy.com exactly
I have a little sister, she's more than 1 million dollars, she priceless.
puffer puffer Awwww
💗
I'm sure you could find a buyer on the dark web...
I know some people on the deep web who would be more than happy to take her off your hands for a large price maybe $100,000,000 Dollars or more
I’ll taker her off your hands if she’s legal lol
My mom has a lot of rare coins (world war silver pennies etc.) she collected them as a child (1976)
That's pretty cool
I used to own all of the original Star Wars cards (blue, red, yellow AND green sets), AND I THREW THEM AWAY! Just kill me now.
Those aren't actually worth that much. They printed billions of them.
Me too. Actually I left them behind when I moved out at 18 and my mom eventually got rid of all my old stuff. My fault. She waited about 15 years and I never went and got 'em so I can't really be mad at her.
Just be glad they're weren't the action figures.Lol
I kept all my crack cocaine from the late eighties early nineties and it’s worth a fortune !
🙈🙉🙊🌪️🤣
LMFAO
This guy does not know about coins
Not at all.
Seth Horst don't speak for my disability.. you know not of it's feelings.. only your opinion.
Nor Star Wars.
Nor baseball cards
wait was the thing about the Wisconsin coin thing real, I really need to know this
''If you were born after 2005'' yeah right LMFAO ... i'm getting old I guess LOL. I've had tons of VHS cassettes. Well !
i have a nice collection of classic vhs movies. among them i have ( hellraiser l, ll & lll ) . i also have ( star trek l, ll, lll, lV, star trek the galileo seven & star trek generations. all are original gold series collector's editions in there original vhs sleeves. curious.. what would these movies be worth, if anything and where would be a good place to sell them if they have some value ?
don't donate tapes or records to GoodWill or old books. the one where I worked at they threw everyone away brand new, like new it doesn't matter.
I have the first hard cover edition of "Roots" by Alex Haley.
I still use vhs tapes today! XD
Cool. They're still good if you just want the movie not extras and you have a tube TV.
nicky1863 i still have alot of the vhs tape and the tv and the vhs rewinder everything is still workin
nicky1863 yes so do i I love them! Don't donate to GoodWill they throw them away.
maria19612000 that's what I say. why throw them away?
Trey Stephens yes it is true Goodwill does throw stuff away even if it still works and needs fixed. it's corperate greed and honestly I hate working there
Any collectable is only worth whatever someone will give you for it.
I agree with you 👍 it's if people really want it!?!?
can't wait to retire and live the good life when I sell my $300 coin and $300 Pokemon card.
This video had potential, too bad they didn't fact check prior to posting.
what about one of the 43 1943 copper pennies based on it's condition can be worth $10,000-$1,000,000
NiceCatPlays i have a couple of them from my great great mothers penny collectors book. they aint worth that much.
NiceCatPlays nope. Easily can be bought for less than a buck each.
The copper pennies, dated 1943 ARE rare.
It is the steel 1943 that is not worth much.
I wonder how many of those baseball cards ended up in bicycle spokes lol. Also I'm surprised he didn't mention the Gold NES Nintendo NWC cartridges of which only 26 were made.
Chevy513 so true -_- where the gamers at
Those run 25-50K ea =) The Grays can hit 15k+
Nah, he decided to stick to obvious collectibles only.
Chevy513
one sold on Ebay for $100,000. I had a gold "Legend of Zelda" but they are only worth 20 - 30 bucks :(
I have some Three Stooges cards.
2:29 These cards are fake.
Where can we find this list for valuable vhs tapes?
Ebay
Yard sale!!
t
i would like to now how much is a 1 dollar bill worth 1954 will the devol face
Missed stamps, vinyl records/cassettes/8-tracks
no...this is a video of items that are WORTH something.
Also: HotWheels cars. Mint condition ones have sold for a lot of money and had I not always played with mine as a small human I could have mad $500 or so from a couple of the cars I own
CerealBro1 I own ten redlines which are the original hot wheels but I don’t tell like selling them because I love hot wheels
A friend bought an old purse at a Goodwill store. She found a half carat diamond in it.
The only carat I'd have any luck finding would be an actual carrot- lol
7:00 Correction : It's not pronounced " Ay - Tee, Ay - Tee " commander. It's pronounced as it's spelled, " AT - AT ."
Jessica Taylor that old painting your grandpa brought home from WWII France probably wasn't worth anything either.
Jessica Taylor - I bet you're blond.
Ya, you definitely don't think twice about bringing your baseball cards and rare vases and things to the dump.
Your lieing
Rey T and Fluffy Fluffy Leo ~ Did you both just take my comment seriously? Good thing I just found a treasured piece of TV paraphernalia behind an old wardrobe - I am holding up the much loved and coveted 'sarcasm sign' as featured in The Big Bang Theory :D
+Jessica Taylor...Double PMSL. Your comment made my day.
I like "Mad" Magazine which are out of print, now.
"It's always useful to keep currency" thanks for the tip narrator kid.
That’s how people become rich! Lol
Just say how much it's worth and quit saying " one million less than it's rival" um how much is that???!
if you paid attention, but not attention deficit disorder ! he clearly said SUPERMAN #1 SOLD FOR 1.4 MILLION so one million less than it"s rival...(pretending to calculate) would be "around" 400 000 $$ is the answer to your question.!!
When you realize you have the entire Star Wars action figure set in your attic
Yeah I am sure 95% of the people watching this has one of those Superman comics in mint condition under their bed!!
Bhamofficer328 or a Pokemon card that there are only 5 of in existence
I have a 2-inch reproduction of that Superman comic. Does that count?
Bhamofficer328 for real
the one with the first apperance of superman
Several

Hahahaha! You beat me to it!
I have binders and binders of alpha and beta MTG cards.. I've considered looking into their value, though it's doubtful I'd ever sell them.

I still use vhs tapes
Me too
Amen,me too,i collected hundreds of these in the 90's 2000's and still do today when I find them
Tj Nickles i can go get them for less than $1 each now.
Having a VCR is lit.
Me too, along with about 50 8-track tapes. All of them are still in their original sleeves.

"Valuable items you may own in your home right now!!!!"
-Only 5 exist-
-_-
Yeah, soooo likely to have one of these.
Ikr lmao
When I was 5 we bought a new house, I was just walking around investigating and opened a draw. The person who use to live here left 8 rare baseball cards (probably didn't know they were a fortune) and I still have them to this day. Now i'm gonna sell em lol
TouchTheRazor Which tho?
Antiques, Old Coins, Sport Cards, old Comic Books I know worth $$$ not sure of Movies.
Antiques, Old Coins, Sport Cards, old Comic Books I know worth $$$ not sure of Movies.
Maybe some day they'll be worth something again, but I doubt it.
and waaaaay too many insert cards!
My dad has a ton of old coins that he keeps in a box. I think the oldest one was from 1890's. And we do have 'The Mummy' (1932) on VHS.
@1:20 "Banned upon their release"...um no. Those movies weren't banned. Most just sucked so badly that nobody wanted them and never justified a re-release. That's why they are rare.
Well if they never heard of VHS tapes were then I'm certain they have never heard what an 8 Track Tape was!!
Danny Canes what’s that?
Danny Canes I have them big tapes my dad had a few in the car in the 70's they stuck out the cassette player
LOL @Tina Taylor
Danny Canes 8trake lol what bout a 9trake

who's watching this on the toilet
Tony Gomez

Tony Gomez omfg me
WackyManzAreCraz my Mann
Epic savages thx
what about HOTWHEELS ?
I don't think that the're THAT expensive and rare.
Matchbox!
micro machines
I'm thinking I saw a video on RUclips where the USA made ones from the 70's are of some value. Mostly ones in mint condition, rare ones and ones with parts that broke or came off like the van w/surfboards.
dj nineseven I love Micro Machines. I own twenty of them and some playsets.
Amazing information, thanks for sharing.
Ummmm, how about the $35,000 1970 quarter minted over the Canadian coin?
I found a $600 telescope at goodwill for $10. I grabbed it, and it works great.
windrider65 amazing lucky find! I go in occasionally in high hopes, but never find anything of much worth
I found a Realistic 10-band graphic equalizer for $10.
Whats the error on the wisconsin 2004 quarter? I know he sais an extra "leaf" i think but i didnt see it
I'm wondering about a Sears coin I had from years ago. It was a penny, but had a plastic silver outline around it detailing the Sears store. I can't find anything about these today.
anybody that knows anything about baseball cards knows that the honus wagner T206 card is the most valuable card. not a mickey mantle.
i have a vhs/dvd player all in one, but why not mention tube eq or the 1957 gibson les paul !? goodwill makes me sick any more, asking the poor people who go there to " round up" to donate ..that is why they are there in the 1st place, being broke trying to save $
Gibson is going out of business from what I heard so their les paul well definitely be worth a lot in the future
with everyone loving downloaded beat rap crap with no musical instruments , its no surprise.. why or how can you stay in for pro business ..and gibson is for the pro making electric music if everyone loves ..downloadable beats and/or stations mostly only preferring .. its a shame esp to future generations to have to pay so much ..for only a chance in a million that your song will become a classic.. many wont try any more and real instrumental music will fade.. hopefully after im dead and gone tho." really just classic rock n country" is all that is left, some gems found here in there tho. obama started this with the ban on their wood in 08... many don't know about.. sad another american co leaving also and people forced to pay for what the usa used to be and live in the past :(... but its what the new young generation want ..its seems ..thanks for letting me know
beatleme2 0

All of my baseball cards are from the 90's so they're worthless 😑
Jahz D not true
Ill take any you dont want
Your correct lots of 90s cards are worth less than the day u got them the Mass producing of these cards ruined it for lots of would be collector's around 86 -87 they more than doubled production I have 100000s of cards and yes some are worth a fee bucks and some older worth way more but anything 87 to currently not so much keep them for another 20 years or so and maybe the supply will grow lower not to mention the steroid area when a home run hitters card goes from 10$ to 10cents over night oh if I could take back all the stale gum and cardboard from over the years I would have invested elsewhere but I was 8 years old lol
I have a BiG chest of baseball cards to sell for a new life brat.brenda11@gmail.com
