- National Master Julian Proleiko explains why Black playing a6 on move four is good to play in the Slav. This is the first of a series of lectures where Julian deals with a complex where Black puts his pawns on d5 and c6.

Great - he is actually explaining why rather than just showing moves. Awesome he needs to be on more.
you're really good at explaining! hope to see more of your lessons
Great presentation! This really inspirered me to study the Chebenko system. Many thanks!
I also like the way in which Julian references the games he deals with; you can then download them from the webpage! Thanks!
NM Prolieko should finish this series since I am extremely interested in these complexes.
Second that. Most material is for beginners and he hits it heavier.
So excited for this video - Julian is a great player
Excellent job explaining the 4...a6 Slav!
Excellent job and my thanks!! He needs to be allowed to finish his a6 Slav series!!
Highlight. A very usefull lession. Good explanation. Thank you very much.
This is a clever man - he talks straight and to the point. (Yes, I mean as opposed to others.)
Thanks a lot, that was super well explained.
Timestamps would greatly help this type of videos.
16:54 what was that in the background...? It sounds like a shark movie climax...
very good tutorial just why not switch the board to see it with black pieces?
I try to keep my repertoire as simple as possible so I can do longer variations. I am a Slav player, the reason why I am watching this video. I play the French against e4, and the London System as White. However, against the English, an opening I know nothing about, I play the Caro Kahn because 99 percent of my games transpose into a Slav
very nice thanks
At 28:29 12...Ne4 also looks interesting. 28:37 13...f6?! looks dodgy because of the weakness of g6. White can play 14. Nh4! followed by e4 with a better position. As an alternative, an interesting sacrifice of piece for two pawns is 13...Nxc5!? 14. dxc5 Bxh3.
Can you pls do a video on the Petrov's defense?Thx
12:25 Actually I think he is right, white can't castle because of the bishop on f5 attacks b1.
You can't castle only if the king's path is attacked. In long castle, the king doesn't cross b1.
We want to know how to beat the scotch! Great Vid!
4:25 I agree. I'm a n008 that plays the slav natural and only know I play the slav because I looked at a chess engine and it told me the names of the openings (a lot of italian/piano too apparently). I played the slav because I didnt want to trade a center pawn for an outer one.
Good
He looks like Mike kummer
Teenage version
😂😂😂

did julian ever create a video on the london?
We want the *LONDON SYSTEM*
Please, Catalan video! Killing my semi-Slav aspirations. It is an absolutely annoying opening.
One of the worst lectures. Seeing a full boring game shows nothing about the ideas in the opening
