I just built mine. It was super easy to build and was a lot of fun. I decided to go with a Dragon's Lair theme on mine. Thank you Glen for your awesome products!
@@GlensRetroShow Not as worried about making it translucent, but do you think you could make a 1:6 scale stick with a trigger?? I’m sure you’re going to have to tell me otherwise, but PLEASE tell me one is possible! 🥹 👉👈
Already ordered the main kit and the control decks bundle. Now I'm in pause mode while waiting for it to ship. Has Szabo put out any side art yet? I keep checking, but haven't been able to find it yet. Given the vertical screen orientation, I'd love some side panel art that includes the most popular vertical screen games (Tempest, Arkanoid, Galaga, Pac Man, etc). Oh, and also wanted to thank you for putting something like this out at such a reasonable price, and your attention to the small details is really appreciated. Can't wait to build it with my kids. Just hope I get it in time for the holidays so I can share it with friends/family :D
Great video! You talk me into it. question. How can I able to used the GPIO to power the Pi Fan? Do you have a extra cables for us to added a fan to it? You have all the holes for the air flood but no fan? Do the cabinet have a shutdown button? Great cabinet but for Pi we need this. Fan and Shutdown button. Looking forward for your next video on the controller and software setup.
Hi@@arcadeworkshop1 , Thank you for your fast reply, After I saw this build from Glenn I have decided to get one. It is well design. I am glad you are using DSI for video so I can added a fan to it and copper heat sink:)
Hi Glenn, in your video you said we can download the artwork template so we can design our own pictures for the cab. Where are the link of the GRS Build -A-Cade mini cab templates?
My dream come true, Glen! Awesome and thank you!! Any chance that we can receive control board with 6 button including 2 player with 6 buttons somehow? I really dream to make my own mini MK2/UMK3 cabinet.. Have a great day and happy easter!
If the 1 and 2 buttons, the joystick, volume knob and the soft reset buttons on the back panel aren't working, make sure you connected the 14-pin GPIO connecter on the wiring harness to the back PCB. It looks like it doesn't fit, but it does.
I absolutely LOVE the Build -A- Cade! I just bought another one and before I put it together, I was wondering which Pi I should use for the second build for the fastest boot and load times. I've got a a couple of Pi 3B and Pi 4 models, but wondered if it will also work with the new Pi 5?
@@GlensRetroShow Thanks... I just checked the site and noticed there was a sale, so I ordered a third one. Now I can permanently rig up 3 of my favorite controllers and put the other one in a Panel Pod. I just love these rigs. I also love how well it works with the Push and Pull Spinner and the full sized Steering Wheel that I installed in my Tank Stick. I still have an original Tempest in my garage. You can't beat the classics.
It's a 5 min process. You need to remove the six screws on the back. Move the back panel. There's a center brace you slide that back. You can then go to the front of the unit. Open up the two sides. Remove the control panel that's there. Disconnect it, connect the new panel, put it back in place. Slide the center bar back in place then close the unit
Hi Glen, I might have to get one. To check out the trackball controller. Can you email me privately about the Replicade centipede, I wonder if it will interface with that. Let me know. later -1

Got my preorder in brotha!
:) awesome my friend
Looking great!
Thank you 😊 I hope it helps people to build it as some people like me never look at a manual 😂
Glen: Can't put it in wrong

The wiring harness has a fan connection available. There is a shutdown button under the volume control. I hope this helps.

Right now the pi 4 is the one directly supported.

Just ordered mine! Any ETA on when the Szabos Arcades artwork will be ready?
Is there any model with a wider screen? I'd get one with each screen size. Could I also use an Asus tinkerboard instead?
How easy is it to swap between the different control panels?

Would inserting a micro hdmi to hdmi adapter (female) then using the included hdmi out cable work for the pi 4?
In our new OS build, the PI 4 can now do external HDMI. So yes if you get a micro HDMI adapter it will now work

whats the largest sd card it will recognize....can i copy the sdcard to it and will it install from it?
USB ports are "upside down" from industry standard (no big deal, just FYI)
We like to think different ;)
I noticed on the thumbnail you have a hammer and a hard hat. Are these needed for the build? Also is the wood included?
LoL 🤣😆
Love everything about it from look to price except the size thing is so tiny I don't think use the thing I'm all for a mini cade but not this tiny
🔥 🔥 🔥
I tried preordering but I am having issues…Apparently fraudulent activity pee my bank.
