I just won one of these from another CC. Of course I don't have a Pi3 or 4 and they are ridiculously priced right now. I'm going to have to wait to build it until they aren't priced 5 times their typical cost. Side note: did you know that all Arkanoids reside in other cabinets? They were only available as a conversion kit. My son had an Arkanoid that used to be a Jungle Hunt.
It's great that you're doing good John. Everything is neat about this arcade but it's too small for my hands and eyesight issues. I would love it as a collector's piece. Good showing and cool video John!👉😃👈
You can use the case as a fantastic display piece and use HDMI out we have working on all pi models now including the pi 4 and USB or Bluetooth controllers :) just an option :)
There are 2 things that need addressing on this system, i bought both main unit and the other control panels. First up, quite a few games are only 4 x 3 aspect ratio, and are located right in the middle of this tiny screen, why were those not displayed on the bottom of the screen, that way, they would be easier to see. Secondly as you mentioned in this review, the control panels need to be redesigned to be removable, by way of 2 magnets, lever the panel up, and it would be easy to change it over, without opening the back and sides to gain access. I am a new subscriber Jon. And enjoyed this review, thank you sir. Look forward to seeing what other items, you have looked at, and reviewed. All the best.
Hi jon the build a cade is a amazing everyone should get grs build a cade right Jon your awesome Jon and keep up the good work I am been a fan of yours for years and you rock😀 Jon and stay safe Jon😃
I love the idea and concept behind this, and I really hope it does well for Glen and that a 1/4 scale option can be produced in the future. I collect the 1/6 scale New Wave Cabs, as well as Numskull and their Quarter Arcade 1/4 scale cabs, and while both are amazing products, I just find the 1/4 ones much more usable. The 1/6 cabs are more than functional(better than some might think), but just not ideal in most situations. I do think these are priced right, and seem to be very well built, so maybe if I can ever buy a Rasberry Pi at proper pricing, I still may grab a set down the road.
Being as this is obviously raspberry pi. I have a raspberry pi 3b+ with ready built loaded sd cards. When I install the pi will this unit detect the games already. Or will I have to create a new build downloading the Roms etc like in your video. Great video as always 👍
great product ! but I'm not convinced by the trackball. With Marble Madness, it seems not to be accurate at all... Maybe a sensibility setting adjustment ?
Hey Gamester-81 , now this mini-cade system looks too non descript and it's screen is waaaay too small , , , , do they make a mini-cade Mortal Kombat-2 ? ? , , , 👽👍
Must be hard to play them things when they are the size of your pinky finger. It's an issue specific to Gamester81. When John claps or gives applause, the vibrations created may be harmful to a lesser man. When John was disassembling that thing you all know he could have just squeezed it apart in about two second. I swear to god.
Jon, I've been subbed to you for 12 years now. You're a comfort on this chaotic platform.
Thanks so much!
@Eyup Tas try harder lol
@Eyup Tas I don't need more than that. Him responding at all was more than enough. Most don't even do that. There isn't much to respond to.
You are a constant source of joy! Thanks for posting John!

John I been watching your channel since I believe 2007 damn time flys!
Love the GRS products, I've got one of their spinners. The build quality is nothing short of professional. Thanks for sharing, Jon!
Have loved the GRS spinner mods for Arcade1Up, so it doesn't surprise me that they did a great job with this mini spinner as well!
When I was a kid I only owned one game which was Marble Madness for the Nintendo. To this day it has my favorite music from the 8bit era .

Thank you for the view and the comments :) pi prices should come down and we are working on other SBC's to be compatible and our own SBC :)

You are such a good reviewer.
This device is super cool 🔥
Thank you 🙏😊
Awsome builds. Just wish it were a little bigger. It looks way better than the other mini arcades but I wish this was bit bigger. 1/4 or 1/5.
I see its pi 3,4, will pi4b work as well? I am looking at picking up a few for my desk to go with my pi4bs but I cannot get a confirmation on that.

It’s to small for many people to find any real enjoyment. It would be a display piece for me and nothing more.
is jon a stud or naw?
