I'm an INTP female and I recently had a discussion of how I treat my partner with too much "liberalism".... means if he don't want to do something, I'll let him be, as long as it's not disrupting others/society. However I met an ENTP female who will make their partner do what they want others (especially their partner) to do. the ENTP female is very contrast with me, an INTP female. And many of my friends think there is no good in being too "liberal" and sometimes I need to learn how to make others do things as I think they should. Most often, I stop communicating up until giving my opinion/advise/suggestion and let them decide for himself/for us, rather than persistently persuading them. I need help to be more persistent with my ideas!
Well, from the term, don't interfere in other's matters unless and until it's a crime, well, once domestic abuse, marital rape, childabuse etc were not criminal, so, according to this person, at that era, we should have ignored it, right? Laws are written by us human beings in a society, if we don't point out what's wrong, we will never fix it.
Since this intp doesn't understand word choice in relation to connotation I'll translate for all the nfs and sjs that can't get past his demeanor. He is preaching moderation. At the end he acknowledges the good of collectivism without bringing up the negatives so maybe he's trying to be nice. Intp sees column as being too definitive about what's the right way to be/think. This is seen as a threat to individuality to intp. All in all it's in essence a individualism vs collectivism thing. infps in my opinion are somewhat of a paradox being an individualist that craves collectivism. Te in the 5th versus Te in the 4th is the main difference. Intp doesn't trust and even worries about Te while infp tend to overcompensate.
I'm in disagreement with the INTP's attitude towards this INFP's column. Social and moral rules, like anything else, are subject to change... it might be annoying, seeing people policing and protesting 'social agreements' which might had been acceptable previously; however, on the big picture, these changes could be seen as 'updates' to society's 'program.' These events, agreements between individuals, are, to me, possibly, the results of a 'collective consciousness.' This idea, reminds me of how the herd, as a group, might be more intelligent than a lone individual -- like, a beehive compared to a bee. Thus, we, individually, might get annoyed at these small and seemingly unnecessary changes... however, these seemingly small and irrelevant snippets could just clear the way for a change even more significant to society. I'm inclined to say that society and its evolution is a lot more complicated than we think. Analogy; if social and moral rules in society are like human civilization's hair, then social changes (and societal changes of any kind) can be seen as small, yet, blunt, trims, which, ultimately, leads to a greater haircut. We might notice, that, out of, let's say, ten individual hairs trimmed from one snip, that one of those hairs might had been worse-off due to that trim... that represents people's conflict; most of the time, that strand of hair, I think, represents the inconvenience that comes with changing how you think (this isn't saying that some changes can't be accidents all-together). My thought-process is ignoring all of our social progress from the past, which, to me, appears beneficial to today's individuals (at the very least, concerning human advancement). This seems like a no-brainer to me. Naturally, many of those changes required people to protest, as, most of society appears rigid and resistant to change. Lastly, what about the moral idea, itself? Isn't it important to consider its merit? Of course, a near-pointless idea that restricts -- in a way which counters its benefits -- should be held in respective disdain regardless of what society believes. However, instead of generalizing and clumping "progressive" ideas together, the INTP should had considered each one, individually.
What INFP doesn't understand is that the INTP of the clips is a Classical Liberal rather than a Progressive. Unlike the latter, Classical Liberals are not interested in teaching people how they should lead their lives, but just accept reality as it is, so long it doesn't hinder other people to do what they want to do. He's somehow similar to ISTP when he says "just boys being boys": if freedom means this, just let's do it. This would put INTP at loggerheads with Progressives, who aim to build a new society (and, in their opinion, a better one). On another video, the same INTP complains about PC culture and the fact that it hinders him to express some thought which may offend others: so long something is true, or logical at least, it must be said. And this is something very un-Progressive. ruclips.net/video/9z1IxhUv6wo/видео.html ruclips.net/video/jFX4s7-7iyc/видео.html What INFP is right is that INTP is not a Conservative too. At the end of the day, INTP is highly unlikely to ban gay marriage, drugs and perhaps abortion. So long something doesn't hurt other people, let people be free to do whatever they wish. This combination between the freedom to think logically and the freedom to act on their will is Classical Liberal rather than Conservative. Last but not least, he doesn't seem to believe in a God, and the lack of a belief in God is usually something keeping people away from social Conservatism. ruclips.net/video/HitI32cpIoQ/видео.html
The INTP is the one who sounds more sanctimonious to be honest. Let me teach you how to not teach Lol.
Live and let live... INTP what we really want...

I love how you think.
That was such a good explanation on the matter
As an INTP to that INTP guy : please let her live her life why u care tho
Then why intp is telling infp to live without caring for society's well being why can't he just let her live in her own way....
Morals set us apart from animals. You say it's hypocritical? Then we are no different from beasts or beasts are even far off better than us.
I think this is why I'm not really fan of Fi..
At least MBTI wise

Since when do Infps act like bosses/'teachers and dictate other people's lives?? That doesn't seem very infpish
