Don’t you guys think that research is getting too overrated and literally the half of applicants of top schools have some research related stuff in their applications. I mean even admission officers are probably aware that most of these applicants do research only for the sake of getting into the college
I went back to school recently to get my MS Physics. I was flabbergasted over learning how many of my fellow students had done research as undergrads. When I applied for my PhD, I came to understand that a lot of these universities wanted to see my CV, that is my resume. I learned almost too late that they wanted to know what RESEARCH I had done. What the fuck happened over the last 5 decades?????
I really don't think its overrated. Many people might not like research but it is a good ec cause it shows a lot of dedication. It's also important cause they'll have to do research in college and probably as a part of their job as well
Im a freshman in high school and I am taking 5 AP classes this year: AP world, AP Art History, AP psychology, AP Comp Science Principals, and AP Chemistry. I’m also taking Spanish 2, La 9, and trig/pre calc. I have 97s and 100s in all of my classes but my La 9 score is a 92. I also had a very bad test score in AP chemistry (50%) and that dropped my grade down to an 80. It’s the end of the quarter and my grades are locked in. I guess my question really is what was your lowest test score and do you think I’ll still get into a BSMD program even with my bad grades?
My freshman year was my worse year I'm pretty sure I got several B's that year. But I was also only taking 2 AP classes freshman year. The fact your taking 5 is INSANE... good on you and you seem to be doing pretty well with all that. I don't exactly remember my lowest test grade but I do remember that there were several assignments and tests that I completely failed (probably around a 50%). From what you told me you don't have "bad grades" right now. Try to get your AP Chem grade up next term but even if you end with a B or B+ it's not the end of the world. Just keep trying your best and achieving the highest grades possible and things will work out! Your just a freshman in high school so you still got some time!
i have been working in my dad's gsm shop over 6 years and beside 5 science fair prizes it is the only exc that i have been doing. Do you guys think it will look strong in the collage app
Thank you so much! Your resources are amazing and you should really have more subscribers especially because of the quality of the videos.
