Remember this was released when she had lost all the weight. I was so happy to see her overcome that struggle. And relieved that her amazing voice didn't change. Such an underrated phenom.

Rachelle Ferrell is the most extraordinary professional voice I've never heard. Multi-Talented and highly-skilled with superhuman singing capabilities. I remember listening to her aptly titled album First Instrument. And it wasn't until the fourth or fifth time that I listen to it (with some good headphones) that I realized, in many cases, what I thought was a horn ...was her voice. What I thought was a keyboard.... was her voice. The woman is a singing God, A Singing Machine, some kind of vocal phenom. But to call her a diva, is a downgrade. Ok. Maybe I'm a little biased. LOL no love lost. But listen for yourselves. I recommend "inchworm" & "bye bye blackbird". What a powerhouse voice. Watching her singing performance is an experience I wouldn’t want to miss out on, yet this is the first time I’m seeing her perform. I have heard her name and I believe hear a song or two of hers but really never seen any of her performances. What a total treat this performance was. My Goodness! I’ve seen some of the greats perform but JH is my favorite thus far. She sings convincingly and amazingly. Her performance mesmerizes me. I’m now definitely going to watch and enjoy her other performances.

It could be quite ugly, her sound never had star quality outside of Broadway - perhaps she overdid it and it then lacked mainstream acceptance.
She never had Aretha's all round beauty of sound - but then nobody did. I love Jenifer and her soulful massive sound - but it wasn't the greatest voice. Franklin has that title. The rest trail in her wake.

What a powerhouse voice. Watching her singing performance is an experience I wouldn’t want to miss out on, yet this is the first time I’m seeing her perform. I have heard her name and I believe hear a song or two of hers but really never seen any of her performances. What a total treat this performance was. My Goodness! I’ve seen some of the greats perform but JH is my favorite thus far. She sings convincingly and amazingly. Her performance mesmerizes me. I’m now definitely going to watch and enjoy her other performances.
