They were brilliant to had shown this teaser at the end of Part 2 in the theaters at the time. The visuals and the music had gotten me excited to see Part 3. It was worth it, and I still today consider "Back to the Future" the best movie trilogy ever! :)

I love how people complain about trailers showing everything nowadays (which i still really never understood) yet there’s this trailer.
I remember wailing "Coming summer 1990?!", distraught that I'd have to wait that long to see it (hey, I was a little kid)!

I think that’s because the theatrical release did not have a cliffhanger. There were no immediate plans to do a sequel.
