Sam , on the side by the woods ,that little bit of dirt won't stop anything, suggest you rent a mini excavator again dig your self a ditch along that entire side all the way back to the woods behind the future carport structure, then fill with gravel. Creating a dry well of sorts
I see the boys have already claimed the hill lol
Love the life y'all are creating on your homestead! The Lord is blessing your family!
Thank you so much!
I love the way your videos will pop up just anytime without any Rhyme or Reason... it really makes for a pleasant surprise
😅🎉😊
We go with the flow, but no clue who's controlling it! :D
It’s amazing to see how far you have come from when you first purchased the property! It’s turning into a beautiful homestead.
Thank you so much!
Now that looks like a pretty good foundation.
Anxious to see the next phase.
Thanks Sam for always explaining the process.
Thanks for watching!
Oh gosh Sam you did a fabulous job spreading that crusher run gravel. I am so impressed at how great it looks and so excited to see the build of that carport, that will be such a fun video to watch. I know that I need some gravel on the side of my property and once I get my new fence installed I will get some pretty looking gravel. Thanks again Sam and Angela for this wonderful video. I wish you all a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🥰🤗👋👋🙏👍💕💜
Thanks so much! 😊
You guys are SO down to earth and real. It's a treat to watch your videos of everyday life and building your homestead. Thanks for bringing us along!
Glad you like them!
Ah yes. Tractors are wonderful aren't they. We have had gravel delivered and are using our tractor to spread it out. Looks real good Sam!
Your property is taking shape, building a great foundation. I spent a great deal of time watching Angela rocking while watching you. Then I saw your son pop in and was kinda hoping he was bringing her a beverage. Can't wait for the next video. 💖🎶
She enjoys watching work being done! She was my supervisor too, to make sure I didn't hit anything or miss any spots. :)
I’m so happy for your family! You have truly grown since your move! Really proud for you!
I love watching you work, Sam !! It’s always a magical moment ❤
Can’t wait to see the next step !!!!! 😊
You did a great job spreading the gravel. I proud that y'all are getting something that you really need. You both have accomplished so much since your move. The boy's are learning so much and old enough to help you getting the work done. There's so many kid's that aren't learning any kinds of trades and the parents aren't helping them to be self sufficient. You and Angela are great parents.😊
I am so excited to see the progress you are making on your new homestead! I cant even imagine how exciting it must be for you all! Keep the videos coming. GOD bless
I love watching you and Angela work together on projects. You get the work done!!! I enjoy your commentary as it is REAL!! ❤. Keep the videos coming!👍
Thank you so much!
It looks really good! Now I can visualize the carport, whereas before it looked unorganized, to me anyway. I should have known better. After all, it's a Sam and Angela project!
Sam, one last thing you might consider for your pad is renting a compactor for a couple of hours. It makes for a really durable base with crusher run gravel. Hammers it down to almost concrete consistency
Sam, great job and thanks for allowing all of us to travel along on this journey. Wondering whom has the better tractor skills though! Smiles.....
It looks amazing. Excellent progress Sam. I am impressed. Can't wait to see the rest. God bless from South Texas
Thanks so much!
Looks like you are all ready, the suspense is killing me....can't wait to see the building you chose. All the best and stay safe.
Sorry the last 2videos bored me to death but the next videos will be great to watch as usual these have been interesting as far as logistically and the why you did them the way you did them I’m a 71 year old woman who never able to nail a nail without banging my fingers lol just remember I respect your skill in all you do
Looks like good quality gravel
You have nerves of steel Sam. I would have been terrified to drive so close to the piers. Great job and it looks great too!
I had to stay focused on the scrape blade for sure! It sticks out wider than the tractor tires on both sides. :)
Goooooooood evening, Sam & Angela & boys!
Another huge accomplishment for the homestead. In looking forward to seeing the company build this thing. Thanks
Us too!
Das Bild mit dem Kinderspielzeug war ein schöner ,kleiner Spass .
Bin gespannt, ob der Kiesberg reicht für die abgestecke Fläche.
smoothing out the lot and in fast forward motion the sound was like a giant dragonfly buzzing you as you did your work.
Looking great and so excited for you with the tractor being a mainstay and much needed on any piece of large property. Not who sure loves it more you or Angela......LOL Actually it's fun for both and learning the tricks.....which it looks like you are doing well. You kids have done tons since you moved........wow......thinking back and I know you've enjoyed doing all of it as it is your OWN. Best of luck with the car port.......it will be a nice place to have and you can work rain or shine on whatever you wish.
Blessings
That looks good. You're making such good progress on your property.
Thank you!
Fast work, but HEY! Where’s the bloopers?
You guys are getting so much accomplished. Good for you.
Take care
They'll be in the videos when we have them. :) Lately it's been more cut and dry work work and less time to cut up I guess.
@@GreenAcreHomestead lol…knew I could count on you.
That turned out great Sam. It will help keep implements and vehicles clean. And I bet the installers will love not working in the dirt. One thought, a friend of mine and I added a lean to on the back of one of his building for his tractor and implements. I went back a couple months later and he built an implement shelf system at back and he just drives in and hooks up. It turned out pretty cool
At about 11:00, I couldn’t tell if those cicadas were at your house or mine! Looking great, Sam and Angela!
Big kids with big toys
Nice job spreading that gravel.
Hi Sam Angela & boys, your homestead is really looking great.Your hard work has paid off for sure! 💕
Thart 4K video quality rocks! Good video.
Great work, Sam! Just wondering (not suggesting, because I know that's none of my business!)...
I've seen a couple of homesteader RUclipsrs who bought a Harbor Freight compactor and ran it across their gravel to make sure it was good and solid for the work ahead. For sure, Al Lumnah (Lumnah Acres channel) has used his compactor a TON and it really helped out.
You really have the hang of using that tractor to spread and level out your gravel base. Press on!
The gravel made a big difference,great video!👍🏻
If you've got hills of dirt or gravel and you've got kids they are going to claim it every time. Love it!
Good job on the gravel. If you have a drainage issue, might want to look into installing a "French Drain".
Now all you need Sam is just a good soaking of water, and a road roller to pack that down.
You should put down a barrier on the ground before putting down the gravel, that way the grass won't grow up thru the gravel.
It looks good.
Have you thought about adding a narrow V ditch on the higher side (length)? It can go out to the beginning of the tree line and pull the water away from the pilings.
I was also thinking block, possibly with weep holes, next to the pilings with the V ditch on the other side to give you a better chance of keeping the water and mud out. I had an inverted driveway that drained into my three car garage that the previous owner forgot to mention. Having the driveway regraded and a drain system installed across the front of the garage doors sure did make a difference. It had a pipe system that carried the water away from the garage door area, passed the side of the garage, and down the slope out to a large catch basin in the backyard. It's was definitely worth the time and money. One flood from heavy rain got us to move quickly and resolve the issue.
Gotta love the tractor. Looking good guys
Love your videos and enjoy watching. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and working on the building
You are da man.
Nice job distributing the pile. I just paid nearly $1000.00 for the same size load. Prior to this recent purchase I was paying almost the exact same amount you just paid for your load. Price in our area has skyrocketed in the last 24 months.
Fantastic work on the gravel.
You guys are getting good use of that tractor 👍🏻❤️🙏🏼
Good afternoon Sam , nice to see you .
It looks awesome possum!!!! Great job as usual!!!
Ya'know, for that slope behind your new carport, you could cut a run-off ditch to direct the water [rain] away from your structure. I'm sure you've already considered that. Again, great job!!! Looking forward to seeing the building project move forward! 😊
EXCELLENT!! almost don't need to spread it out...
It looks so good. Looking forward to the build. God Bless your family. ❤
Thank you! 🤗
That was fast😮
Looks good!
It looks great! If you are interested you could dry pack concrete floor with powdered quickcrete and mist the top to finish it after creeting it level. Just a thought.
Your farm is looking so good.
Nice video. Your property is really coming together. Thank you for sharing your journey. Blessings.
Awesome job! Can’t wait to see the next step in the project. Thanks for sharing
Great job Sam 💖💖👍👍💖💖
Great job Sam! It looks great-thanks to your hard work!
Thank you too!
It's shaping up to great home.
If you are worried about water getting into your building I saw plastic root barrier panels online yesterday. You could put them on your high side where you have extra dirt. They come in different heights. Not too $$$.
My sister in law works for McMaster carr. It’s such a great company!
Can’t wait to see the next episode, lookin good guys!👍💞
Looks great, I'm so happy for your progress!
Thank you so much!
You're doing a great job sam looking good.
Thanks 👍
It looks good Sam, everything is going well.😊
💡put your camera on time lapse and visit while they are working 🙃 time lapse are great content too.
That little bit of dirt probably wont stop much water. You may want to consider a french drain or a small ditch.
Looks really sharp.
looking good Sam❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looking forward to the build. I think it looks great.
That Massey really is a nice tool. Gotta get me one of them.
LOOKS AMAZING FESE Up Sam we know YOU WERE trying it out with the toys before using the Tractor 😂 God Bless
I plead the 5th! :D
Sam you did a great job..hugs
Looks Beautiful 😊😊😊
Nice job Sam. Coming along nicely. Looking forward to seeing the building go up, not as much as you are though. LOL. Keep up the good work.
Looking really good
It's coming along.
Looks good. God bless.
Sam that looks great!!!!!
Sam can’t wait. One thing that I thought you’d do is tamper it down. Anyway looking good. Love the channel…….
No real need to compact it further than what's already happening with the machines driving on it. Crusher run compacts down very hard on its own.
you could also add a bit of that rock you bought as well.
Great job mate. 😊
Thanks 😁
sorry I am typing as the video is playing, I mean to say any left over gravel could be added to that low side to help with water drainage....
Love that tractor looks like it's very helpful in different projects. take care
It sure is!!
No comment but looks very nice.
Years ago, we had a driveway similar. We purchased driveway sealer in large metal containers, spread it out let it set up and what a difference it made. God bless 🙏
Looks great.
Ok, great video, but the high speed was really my favorite today, great work.
I agree -- it was the best way to see it sculpt and work out better. :)
Sam you have great tracker skills. You did a really great job on leveling all that out. Looking forward to see the carport be built 😊
Thanks so much!
Great job Sam, looks great Sir! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you kindly
Looks great!
Nice job, looks great
Looks good 👍
Looks great
Great job fella, following you for a long time. ❤
