The limiting factor running a CW01 at high speed is not tumbling it, which is very easy to do even on a perfect surface. Testing on a nearly stock Lunchbox, fresh 3S batteries worked out very closely to KV/100=MPH, meaning that with a 3000KV motor it went exactly 30mph & 4500kv went 45mph - according to my phone's GPS. And this was with those cheap "3650" motors that have a smaller rotor (maybe 390 size) surrounded by big cooling fins. I assume that air resistance would prevent that trend from continuing much higher, but up to at least 45mph, its pretty easy to predict your top speed just with volts and kv. 2S & 3000kv is still silly fast while remaining useable enough to be fun, battery lasts forever and the motor stays cool. You probably still want to upgrade your wheelie bar with that setup though.

The can is one of those cans that you can buy from the cheap hack Moto brand and the armatures are a company called Lightspeed. Yes that light speed they're still around. I chose a double 19 turn wind to smooth out the acceleration. A single wind will work but when all of that voltage hits that armature we're looking at arcing on the communator. A triple and even a quad wind, would be even better but those armatures are well past the $40 range. You got me really thinking about that chassis now. Thanks.
