    @sv650touring Год назад +1

    The limiting factor running a CW01 at high speed is not tumbling it, which is very easy to do even on a perfect surface. Testing on a nearly stock Lunchbox, fresh 3S batteries worked out very closely to KV/100=MPH, meaning that with a 3000KV motor it went exactly 30mph & 4500kv went 45mph - according to my phone's GPS. And this was with those cheap "3650" motors that have a smaller rotor (maybe 390 size) surrounded by big cooling fins. I assume that air resistance would prevent that trend from continuing much higher, but up to at least 45mph, its pretty easy to predict your top speed just with volts and kv.
    2S & 3000kv is still silly fast while remaining useable enough to be fun, battery lasts forever and the motor stays cool. You probably still want to upgrade your wheelie bar with that setup though.

    • @poorboysrc
      @poorboysrc  Год назад

      Yeah I typically run it on 2S, just for fun. I fond it's the perfect blend of wacky speed with a decent amount of handling. 👊

    You stole my idea to flatten the pumpkin and take out the camber. My silver pump has no camber and rides amazingly. She is the same height front to back. I use the black tube from the kits and made spaces for all the shocks and it worked great. 19turn double on 11.1 lipo power. Yes, the old school motor meets the new school power. BA-BOOOOOM! You are correct Sir. I use the "no glue" method as a clutch. I want to buy the metal chassis now after this video and call my Silver pump with the blower on the hood, Reckless Spending!

    • @poorboysrc
      @poorboysrc  2 года назад

      19T double on 3S? Duuuude, she must be a rocket!!! Record some speed runs and you might score yourself a t-shirt! Spend hundreds for a $25 tee, lol! 🤣🍻

    • @UlisesBatalla
      @UlisesBatalla 2 года назад

      @@poorboysrc maybe we'll change the name to "deficit spending"? LOL yes I do not recommend going lower than 19 turns and I chose multiple wines and made the motor myself. The can is one of those cans that you can buy from the cheap hack Moto brand and the armatures are a company called Lightspeed. Yes that light speed they're still around. I chose a double 19 turn wind to smooth out the acceleration. A single wind will work but when all of that voltage hits that armature we're looking at arcing on the communator. A triple and even a quad wind, would be even better but those armatures are well past the $40 range. You got me really thinking about that chassis now. Thanks.

    Unfortunately the money's gone into my mini crawler project. So I'm out for this challenge😥. Or maybe I'll thest my Lunch Box, but with just a Spot Tuned motor I think it'll be out of competition.
    The rear rims will spin in the tires, that's for sure. So there'll be some ESC programming if you'll glue the tires and use so much power the gear may be harmed.
    For normal I wouldn't use foams. The tires give a little bit extra suspension. But if you'll run only on-road foam in the rear might make some sense.
    Camber? Why? The front wheels are always inthe air🤣
