That’s awesome that you can visualize what you will make like that. I’m new to alligator juniper having just moved to southwest NM area. Found 2 standing dead ones way out back of my property but I haven’t had time to get to the ranger station in reserve yet to see if I can Permit to cut or if they have to be naturally downed. They look like they’ve been standing dead for quite a long time. I also have no idea how to take one of these beasts down. I’ve only worked with pine, cedar, and lodgepole. The guy who lived here before me was a woodworker and left me real nice planks of alligator juniper. Wish I had the woodworking talent. It would be a great hobby to have out here.
