- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2008 BMW M5. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This is the most bi polar car and I like it. Simply bcuz when you want it to it can be luxurious and comfy as a Rolls Royce but with a push of a button this thing drives like a lambo.

@@h.x769 i own one, it's an amazing car, it's comfortable, fast, very versatile...now I'm not saying it's problem free since no car is but many of the bad reviews people say are over exaggerated and they are also from people who don't own one.

I have a beautiful 328i e92 under 87k miles and this is just beautiful!!! This M5 is a gem just looking at the interior...
Even in 2013, the E60 M5 remains one of the most complicated/sophisticated vehicles to drive. Depends on whether you're a human or an alien.
Did I just read that someone commented that this was the last of the proper M5's?! Seriously? This thing? The last proper M5 was the E39. Bespoke. Modest. Muscular. And one of the torquiest engines BMW has ever produced. And talk about bulletproof, E39s have been known to clock more than 200K miles on the engine and are still on the road as daily drivers. No SMG. No overly nanny electronics. Just a pure, 6MT, 400HP V8 that, to this day, will remind many a new "sports car/sports sedan": Respect Your Elders. God I love my E39. The greatest M5 ever built, bar none.
I respect your opinion, but the E60 is my favorite. The new one is nice, but the V10 is definitely something =D. Agree to disagree.

Wow, was it really 2 years ago since I commented? I still believe the E39 was - and is - the best M5. Just raw driving pleasure with minimal distractions. HOWEVER, I just picked up an '08 M5 and well...
To be fair, I've only had it a few days, but my first impression: it's an amazing step up. Downside, I got SMG, but honestly, it feels far more "relaxed" to drive. Plus, my wife can drive and appreciate it more. I haven't opened it up yet, but maybe this weekend I can stretch its legs. I will say this, I miss shifting. Taking a second to get used to the paddles. I'll post a video in the next few days.
Anyway, @Saabkyle04 , really liking the vids. They've helped a lot in my car searches and general knowledge. Really like that you carved your own niché for car reviews. Cheers!

Do? it is pretty much awesome stock, I don't see why will you need more horse power on this, you can pretty much beat any car on the road with this (talking about the average civilian cars and challengers and mustangs, pick ups, corvettes and such).

There are two paddles on the sides of the steering wheel. The system is based off of an automatic transmission but you can choose to drive it manually. You use the paddles to shift up and down while keeping your foot on the pedal. You basically choose when the automatic transmission shifts.

This car has been beautifully detailed prior to retail sale including the spotless engine bay and by the look of it removing all 4 wheels to clean the inner rims. Even the wheel weights look new. Here in the UK a dealer would likely have done no more than give it a quick jetwash and vac then stick the price sticker on it. "Lookin' for a new motor, guv?"
Think it's fair to say that the E60 M5 is probably the Pinnacle of BMW's achievements, along with the E30 M3. Quite possible one of the greatest achievements in automotive history, although that could be a stretch..

i got to sit in one of these beamers, its absolutely cool as hell
the US model are really different from the European models. Like i see no Head-Up display what is standard equipped on a M5 here. Also the comfort seats are not avaible for the M5 here. you can get a full adjustable sport frontseat. but this model is really nice. Really nice colour combination. For now the best M5 ever build.

I love the e60 m5. I really want to own one soon ( currently I have a 2011 m3). Having driven the e60 M5...the gearbox is a problem( coming from my dct m3) the m5 just isn't smooth. But everything else is amazing (that amazing engine sound is light inside). And really, it doesn't drive super aggressive. I was beyond surprised.

Amazing car. Those seats look furniture grade comfortable.
And that arm rest by the center console compartment slides forward so you can have a more comfortable resting position and you don't need to unlock the car with the fob on you just pull a handle and you forgot about the back seat cup holders in the pull down thing

The 5 cylinder motor in that has the same firing order as a Dodge Viper and it sounds great!
