- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2012 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Just make sure it's relatively low miles,because things are GUARANTEED to break,and the cost for repairs will be very costly....
If you haven't bought it yet do some research. This car is not a 1st, 2nd or 3rd car. It's a glorified fleet/executive cruiser for a buisness owner that can write off the ridiculous maintenance costs. Parts are special order only from Sindelfingen Germany. If you want a big luxo barge as a 1st car get an LS Lexus.

Exactly! I test drove one of these beauties in Germany. Pure bliss! Best car I have ever driven! Best hour of my life (so far). Just hearing the engine start is enough to run tingles up your spine. The power, the handling, the luxury, the speed. Everything is as perfect as it gets!

OMG!! I'm in love with this Mercedes-Benz S65 car.
I love this thing! I've test driven one and I absolutely fell for that car! Too bad i'm a university student and will probably never own one... unless I win the lottery or have a fancy job. The sheer power of that engine is amazing! The drive is stunning. Every detail is perfect! And that sound... Honnestly, if I had one of these, I'd spend an hour every day in listening to that engine!

Sadly... no. I'm a bit surprised that my comment made someone reply after 10 years.
On the plus side, I did buy a 2007 E420 CDI and modded it 6 years ago. I still have the car and she has 400hp and 1000Nm of torque. I also had a W220, 2006 S600 I bought in 2019, spent money to try and restore, but it was an endless money pit and I had to sell it at a loss when covid hit, because I lost my job. With lockdowns and non-essential businesses shut, there wasn't a need for car salesmen. And I was/ still am one.
Right now, I do have enough money to buy a good, used S65 and your comment reminded me of that fact. I still haven't given up on that dream.
But I really shouldn't waste my savings just yet, because in a year I'll be moving from Germany back to my home country - Bulgaria. I have an opportunity to make good money, but back home. And that's worth to me more than anything else.
More specifically, I'll be living in my parents apartment. Now, my parents are retired and have a house in the countryside. But the city apartment is mine for the taking. And so are the renovation costs. Plumbing, electrical, new triple pane windows, 2nd AC unit, new appliances, etc... The last renovation to that apartment was done in 2004. Not to mention that I have a girlfriend/ future wife and I want to start a family with her. Babies ain't cheap...
Who knows, maybe in a few years I'll post another comment here, saying I've finally bought my dream car - the W221 S65 AMG.

The W222 is a beautiful car with many nice features but the W221 is still more pretty than the new one I think!

Clean lines, classy inside and out.
What an epic engine note, V12 is king. IMO this interior now looks better than the new S-class with geometrically precise lines, still unique looking switchgear & more convenience features. Best to grab one of these while they're clearing stocks...

my dream car
I'm watching this on November 1, 2019. This body style S-Class (W221) has and always will be my absolute favorite. I currently own a W220 S-Class, but this is so much better...but also because it's a V12 AMG of course lol. But the exterior color is gorgeous and so is the interior as well. Just the right amount of luxury, sophistication, and performance styling within and out of the vehicle. If I had won the lottery in present time now and could go back in time to buy a car that I wanted, I'd go back on that day and hand that dealership cash for that gorgeous thing. It has everything I could want in it too. Black exterior, black interior (with diamond stitching), massaging seats, carbon fiber/black piano lacquer trim, upgraded sound system (Bang & Olufsen) , rear reclining seats, rear sunshades for the rear passengers, and of course the rear entertainment system as well. I'm 18 years old as of the time of me typing this and that car that's in this video will always be timeless and a gorgeous piece of German artwork. Mercedes-Benz then, now, and always will be ahead of their time producing some of the world's best luxury cars in the world, period. But wow, I absolutely want this car. It is absolutely stunning to look at. And the horsepower and torque of that 6.0L V12 (621hp, 738lb-ft) is ridiculous as well. I would take this car in a heartbeat if I absolutely could.
Still one of my all time favourites. Massive speeds or relaxing and cruising down the road. Out-sprint everyone, EVERYONE you see and your family can enjoy this speed as well in the back seat.

Hello people of 2012. I come from the year 2024. I would like to inform you this is as good as Mercedes-Benz will get. Its all downhill from here. Say goodbye to the 6.2 V8 and the V12. Say goodbye to the warm classy interiors. Say hello to a 4 cylinder C63, weird spaceship interiors and giant Ipads. Also if you're into BMW I have some very bad news for you. If you like Audi you'll be just fine though. Also you know that weird Tesla car that we all know won't succeed? Yeah it does succeed somehow and now all the other companies are trying to copy them. No electric cars have not really gotten any better yet somehow they managed to convince everyone its the future. Also stock up on hand sanitizer, masks and toilet paper in 2019. You're in for a ride.

This was a totally boring presentation ever for such a hot car. It would take 6 months of training to learn how to use all the crazy gadgets. Most people would never even use them all or even realize they had them.

I work at a Chrysler Dealer, and yes, the 300 is an awesome vehicle now. the 2011+ models are fantastic and I'm sure would surprise a lot of people commenting on this video, BUT to pick it over this S Class is crazy.

The most interesting set of front brake calipers I've even seen. I expect most cars of this performance category to use a 4~6 pot fixed caliper system, but a twin sliding caliper design is something I have never seen before. I wonder why MB decided to put those on.
