  • Hi - We are Douglas and Keri! In May of 2022 we quit our jobs and sold our home in Denver, Colorado to move to our 36 acre off grid homestead property in Cochise County, Arizona. Follow along with us as we build our homestead from scratch!
(UPDATE 7/21/2023: Get our FREE EBook "9 Steps To Getting Off The Grid" at www.TwoRebelsOffGrid.com Having been off grid for a year now, we think these 9 steps are CRITICAL before you start your off grid journey!)
Today we are reviewing the UV Beast Black Light Flashlight because we really like it! We've been using it for the past year and have had no issues. This light is made of aerospace quality aluminum, so it's rugged and durable! It runs on six AA batteries and we have not had to replace the batteries yet. Since we live in the high desert, we get a lot of sun, wind, and rain during monsoon season. This thing has held up well and still works great! We use it to bioluminesce the scorpions around our seating area at night so we don't accidentally sit on one or bring one into our rv on our clothes and it works great! We would highly recommend this product if you are in need of a black light. It also works great for showing where pet urine stains are at and is used in the commercial cleaning industry.

I know, wasn't that scorpion insane! I had no idea they moved that fast! The good news is there is NOT that many out here...we check every night and very rarely ever see one...of course they are probably hiding under rocks LOL

Oh yeah! When picking up rocks, we always wear heavy gloves. In fact, I will kick them over and check before picking them up, but still wear gloves! lol
