- My A45S AMG is BACK! You join me at EST Performance to pick up my A45S AMG - the team at EST have had the car for the last month as FINALLY the TCU can be mapped! My car has been the development car for the TCu software, and today it's time to collect the car and take it for it's first drive now the first beta map is ready.

Does this Merc have a DCT type Trans? or does it have a TQ Converter? We never see these in the USA not even sure if they are even available. I do believe we can get a sedan version but not a hatchback. Cool car, but for the money think I would take an Audi RS3 Hatch. That's just me though.

8 speed DCT, sick box. Mines was stock but super smooth. Better than my M4.

Does the S and the base CLA45 have different TCU tunes, I noticed in the US the tunes for the base CLA45 are 20-30hp lower than the S tune. I thought the variance in the S and the base(382 vs 416) was all in the ECU tune?
CPC is not wierd it simply set torque limits more power u make more it will hold back the car all AMGs has this issue even no matter if u tune it it’s not completely removed you still getting power cut in the first 3 gears. That’s why it’s no point to go more than stage 2 on all AMGs because once u hi big turbos the car can end up slower because it’s to much torque and u will lose power in the first 3 gears even tho u make big power. So a 700hp A45 will be slower than a 500hp stock turbo off the line,

My CLA 45 s still had three years of Mercedes warranty hence why I’m too afraid to increase the power with a stage 1, 2 or 3 tuning but I can imagine that if feels insane with that power 😁

480ibft is a nice bit of torque. hopefully you get some better times in, not sure how much these weight but i bet theyre not light, 1600kg?

The cpc from the dealer is around £200 the tune can cost upwards of £600-£1000

Crazy and impressive, congrats. Not in the damp it'll be doing high 6s 100-200 in its current state and when u actually code everything in it'll be at least In the 5s for 100-200 crazy for a car with 500-600bhp. Thats faster than a c8 900 bhp RS6 which just did low 6s on autotop mate.
@hampshirephoto did EST mention whether they are going to do this tuning on the Lotus Emira? Same gearbox and engine. Could be a must-have mod for that community, the initial reviews of the AMG M139 powered Emira really panned the gearbox logic as a key weakness.

@@dash-kt7uf You must be the arbiter of all thing true then. The GT3 does 100-200km/h around these times. But I guess it is remotely slow
Are you going to look at comfort issues, though I’ve not heard people mention this, short tests I guess? It’s put me off the car, old guy knackered back etc 👴🏼
