I remember Big Bang Theory was used a lot when I was in high school. Sheldon was frequently used as an example of someone with autism.
Bad example. He was narcissistic, spoiled, neurotic and a germophobe, but not autistic.
Unfortunately also true for me as an actual autistic person, but parents watched it do so biggie.
@@hippiemama52 It is a bad example but for the opposite reason. He's all of the spectra in one person lol
I have autism and obviously I’m very different from Sheldon, however my father learned to cope and understand a lot of my autistic traits by watching this show. It really helped with our relationship.
He only has a handful of traits. There are far more accurate portrayals of autistics than him.
I missed the episode where he broke up Leonard and Prya. That was really his most supervillain like moment for me.
