This was a logical move. They both have autistic traits and females are far better at wanting to adapt to societal standards than guys are. That's the reason it was long believed that autism occurred more in males. Only it isn't and for that reason it can be a lot more difficult for females to get diagnosed, especially as adults. Frankly it's kinda weird that no one was ever portrayed as aspies (high functioning autistics) as every cast member save Penny has behavioral traits that could be applied to aspies.

As she developed and formed friendships with the other group members she became her own person, while still being the other half that Sheldon desperately needed!

The best couple of the series. I love how patient Amy was with Sheldon. And how much he values her, he immediately corrected the idea was theirs when she said it was his during the wedding. Which was such a big thing for him. Him refusing to accept the nobel without her and making efforts for her, like connecting with her family. Trying to be understanding of her feelings. He was indeed the best among the guys and she definitely was the best of all the partners.
Ugh I hate how patient she was and Sheldon didn't value her very much. He just hated not having someone to fawn over him. He is an a-h and Amy shoulda dumped him.

Sheldon didn't want a girlfriend and was willing to part ways with her until he realized that she was going to move on, and it occurred to him that he genuinely cared about her. He found he enjoyed a lot of things like kissing and coitus, which are activities he would've never done in the past. He was ready to propose 2 seasons before he did, which speaks volumes when you consider this a man who was ready to live a life in pursuit of science. Every step of their relationship, she was the one having to push him outside of his comfort zone and grew tired of not having more, he understood and was ready to give it to her.
Sheldon and Amy are always my favorite couple in the Big Bang Theory. They support, care and need each other. Thank you Howard and Raj, you're a good matchmaker

It were very sad when Amy and Sheldon broke up in the beginning of season 9, but when they got back together their relationship became stronger than ever which led them from living together in Penny's old apartment, to being engaged and getting married by sharing their love for each other in front of their friends and family❤. Sheldon and Amy were perfect for each other since they first met.
Its so sweet watching how Amy changed. To be honest I feel like she may have always been the person she was towards the end, but her past experiences of being bullied and not being able to find love made her build up a wall and put up a robotic kind of personality. Finding Sheldon and then making girl friends allowed her to be more expressive and human again 🥲 Season 4 Amy totally reminds me of myself, I feel like I've shut myself off from the world but a part of me still wants love and friendship/ human interaction. I've kind of given up now, but Amy makes me smile and gives me a tiny sense of hope ❤ Side note, but I didn't realise Sheldon has interrupted more than one of Amy's dates omg 😂

When I watched the episode about Prom, I cried for Amy. She didn't deserve to be treated like that. I wished for them to be separated. Then it happened! I was surprised. I was so upset about what's happening then Amy broke up with him. It was so satisfying. But I just wished for Sheldon to realize some things. I'm really rooting for them because of Amy.
I like that pile of swan wedding dress..i love it cause the show creator didnt attempt to change the character to fit the society definition of beauty but how one can appreciate one’s beauty and stay who they are. I initially hate that dress i thought it was bulky and too much.. but when sheldon said it was the most beautiful dress and Amy look like a pile of swan..oh man..that’s beautiful. And just so happen i the previous week i went to a religious sermon in my local mosque and the cleric mentioned “woman is the most beautiful when she is happy”. So i thought when i saw that wedding dress part it reminded me of that cleric’s word.
When Amy showed up to the apartment after Sheldon washes his entire internet presence and changed his address, his facial expression was just perfect! 😅

When I watched the episode about Prom, I cried for Amy. She didn't deserve to be treated like that. I wished for them to be separated. Then it happened! I was surprised. I like that pile of swan wedding dress..i love it cause the show creator didnt attempt to change the character to fit the society definition of beauty but how one can appreciate one’s beauty and stay who they are. I initially hate that dress i thought it was bulky and too much.. but when sheldon said it was the most beautiful dress and Amy look like a pile of swan..oh man..that’s beautiful. And just so happen i the previous week i went to a religious sermon in my local mosque and the cleric mentioned “woman is the most beautiful when she is happy”. So i thought when i saw that wedding dress part it reminded me of that cleric’s word.
I feel so dumb! 😂 Why did this make me cry?! Sheldon grew up so much and I would have never guessed that he would be so sweet.

Such a tasteless scene, and for a cheap laugh. It isn't even consistent with their characters, as the mother is clearly distressed and Amy has got to know that.
And Sheldon has got to see that himself, assuming he's blind enough to have ever thought otherwise.
