I now have 1,700 miles on my 24 XLE (C) and the mpg states 59.7 on the gauge, 58.3 actual. 90% LA freeway driving which means lots of stop and go. Had a 23 Hyundai Elantra LImited Hybrid (E) and comparisons are as follows: E had more interior room and storage, larger trunk, better acceleration, ventilated seats, larger 10.25" screens and equal sounding Bose stereo vs optional JBL in C. C has a smoother ride, more comfortable seats, better mpg, $2K less expensive and most importantly is reliable. The E's battery died after two weeks and I didn't get the buy back payment for four months while the car sat in my garage. They did pay the full price however. Dependability is my main reason for buying a Corolla along with the great gas mileage.

They tried and purposely put no effort in doing it. The early 90’s ford escort is probably the last thing Japan was intimidated by, but ford wants to keep their employees paid so they make the vehicles they make and then adjust what they have based off demand. I like the Corolla but it needs to be 3 inches higher off the ground for me to buy it!
Exactly right!
72 mpg one way? Other way was 50. I believe it’s possible to achieve 72. Not on highway with 70 mph though. On highway you will need to drive 40 mph to get that numbers. I got few times 72 mpg over 350 miles round trip. Maybe 25% highway, rest is rural roads, on Prius. Weather 80 degrease temperature, no rain, no ac.
Mine doesn't get nearly that mpg
72 mpg ?? Is that correct guys?
No … they are full of crap . I have 10 thousand miles on mine and I’m getting 46
@@markdoan1472 same as the new Camry, shouldn’t the mpg be better is the lighter, smaller Corolla?
Me too getting 45 hybrid fwd
I get 72 miles a gallon on my Ford Raptor going down the hill. This is click bait and putting a thumbs down.
2024 le hybrid - 10k miles 54mpg so far
Edit: got my car in Nov 23
The Corolla Hybrid should also be built in the US and Canada....
Engineering and Design = same
Parts / Suppliers = Same or.Toyota approved
Production and Aasembly = Same
Come on Toyota - please increase production
Some are Canada. Some are Japan made. Same with some rav4s
@@antoniocognato5023 I was my understanding that the Corolla Hybrids sold in the North American market are made in Japan. However, I'd love to see the production of Corolla hybrids in North America too.
@@dproulx222 ehhh. Japan is fine. Lol. Their factories are top not.
4runner is still made in Japan. Let's keep it that way
It is amazing car :)
My 2017 Ford focus sel sedan is faster but that s nice as a Eco Cruiser and probably turns very well
Im only getting 45. Wtf
@@BigdaddyschnooksI think it gives more in city than highway.
Might also have an exhaust manifold leak.
Car will still run fine, May just use more fuel.
Simple way to find out is. With the car off hook, a shop vac to the tail pipe, blowing into the exhaust. Then spray down the joints and manifold with soapy water between first oxygen sensor and engine head. You will be looking for bubbles.
prius more expensive and low roof is toucing head
You're reviewing this as if we can go to Toyota dealership and buy it
Big shortage rn, sad
WTF are you talking about? 72 mpg??
As Jack Nicholson said in As Good As It Gets “Go sell crazy some place else, we’re all stocked up here!”
They are full of it .. I’m getting 46 MPG on my 2024 se 10 thousand miles so far
Still no spare in the hybrid?? No thank you. I’ll take the Japan built hatchback with N/A engine. No frills fun reliable transportation.
Or you can just get a spare tire
The mpg is just a national average, but like shown, it's EASILY crushed. I had a 2016 prius eco and lifetime mpg was 77mpg NOT driving like an old lady.
BS … I have the 2024 SE hybrid and am getting 46 average over 10 thousand miles driving like everyone else here in Phoenix … don’t give me this BS about driving for mileage , you will get fingered and cut off by angry drivers . 46 is what this car gets
What did you say from 5 sec to 12 sec? lol
Downhill
I can’t stand having a screen where I can’t hide it just the screen there I got TV I got a phone that’s enough in my car. I don’t need no damn screen. I think I would get mad and I just rip it off.
noisy cabin i cant hear you sorry
Ugly front styling & headlights, & a lot more corner-cutting on the Corolla to cut costs. I would rather pay a bit extra & get the latest Prius, if going for a hybrid car.
NJ
No driving/ fog lights 👎
Soooo, 72mpg is click bait for your channel…. So, not a like and never a subscription!
low profile tires--no thanks
The fact that your audio is barely audible is my reason not even want to test drive it.
Slow your talking down please lol
Đuôi xe xấu kinh
it's not a value if you're spending $30,000 or more for basic transportation
Elantra hybrid over this any day
You’re on crack. This is what made Toyota the largest auto manufacturer in the world.
🤣🤣🤣
You should read the comments above, from a guy that got rid of a ‘23 Elantra Ltd hybrid & bought a Corolla!
Yeah if you want your car stolen
