After 2,160 miles I have 60.1 mpg on the gauge and 59.7 using a calculator. I drive conservatively in mostly LA freeway traffic meaning lots of bumper to bumper action. Very pleased with this vehicle.
Same story, same city...the exception I'm getting 59.5 on the gauge and 59.1 on the calculator. This car is absolutely built for L.A. type driving. I now have 10558 on the odometer.
Took ownership of a 2024 Corolla LE gas version. Very impressed with it overall. Nothing really to dislike about it. One of the best decisions I’ve made.
The CVT is absolutely smooth! We need to stop bad mouthing CVT's . They are not all created equally. I get 47MPG from this car, great commuter. The car is much better than this guy is making it seem, If you are looking for a smooth, quite, comfortable car, and you don't like burning money. This is the perfect car for the sane among us. I appreciate the reviewers time and effort though, good job on the video.
“Under 30k really not bad” really? RUclipsrs contribute to the abusive price increases in all vehicles, it’s a corolla! Also, is not a CVT, it’s an eCVT, totally different
Average transaction price of cars these days is approaching $50k (between $47-48K). Compared to other new cars sold today, this is much less expensive.
@@viewsonvehicles compared to others it is, but still not acceptable. We must spread the message, ppl need affordable cars. Also, Toyota dealers are ridiculous and nobody calls them out. A charging package $79.99 which consist of one usb C cable, and other ridiculous accessories they pile on top of SRP. They do not sell at SRP.
@@dareeltoro6681 I get it. And I agree that average transaction price shot way up in the last several years. But this issue is industry wide, certainly not just Toyota. The purpose of my channel is to review the car for its utility and enjoyment, as well as how it compares to other new cars in its class. Personally, I almost always buy used.
Well done on your description of the hybrid system and explanation of how important the atkinson cycle is and it’s relationship with the electric system. I think this the first car review I’ve seen that gets this right. Good job 👍
I really wanted the XLE trim but none of the dealers in my area had one. Went down to the SE trim. I like the styling and the AWD (handy for snow), but lose the heated seats, blind side detection and power adjusted seats.
I'm in the market for a new Toyota gas sipper. I've been commuting in my 06 Tacoma and man...these fuel prices are a gut punch. Seeing what some of the commenters are getting for gas milage, in the 60's, I'll play this car like a video game to get that gas mileage! Plus it being $30k for the loaded one? Psssht! I'll take two. :P The hard part will be trying to decide whether to go low (this Corolla XLE hybrid), mid (a Prius) for 5-7k more, or high (a Prius Prime) for 10-12k more. Dang it Toyota for making an easy decision hard within the brand!
@@mrnarason I would say being a hybrid and as loaded as this XLE is, in today’s crazy market price structures it’s not really a bad deal at all, in fact a pretty good one
That is a shame, sorry to hear it! If you don't mind me asking, would you say that height is more due to leg or torso? It makes a difference in terms of car fitment. Also, for those more used to feet and inches, 185 cm is about 6-feet, 1-inch tall.
Thank you so much! No, the Corolla does not have a heated steering wheel. You can get heated seats. But I couldn't find a heated steering wheel option. And I checked non-hybrid, hybrid, and hatchback. The Toyota Camry does have a heated steering wheel option.
Based on the google translation of your comment, you asked about moving lights? Perhaps you're referring to the headlights flickering on and off? That's due to my camera and the settings. I hope I guessed right and that clears it up.
First time I’ve watched you. Good information. I’d choose the Civic over this mainly for appearance and handling. This would be a great vehicle for someone wanting better mpg and a smaller vehicle.
Thank you! The Civic is more fun to drive for sure, but, just like you wrote, this makes a case for itself with price and efficiency. Super curious how the next Civic hybrid looks by comparison.

The XLE trim is rare to find. You’ll never find one.

I want this exact color and trim. I got 69.7 mpg in a rental.
Of all the hybrid Corolla vids yours may be the 1st to show under the hood. Thank You.
You're welcome! I look under the hood in most every review. It's important to me.
Are the updated noise deadening materials you've mentioned present across all trim levels, or specific to the XLE trim? Thanks - enjoyed the review.
As I understand it, it's all models.

Nice Review…..am thinking of this as my next lease.
Thank you! And, yeah, it makes a lot of sense.
Why lease? You're better off financing and then reselling. This thing will sell for a good buck you'll make money
I like this review.
Thank you!

Me personally, I'd go Corolla, but the Prius is a HUGE improvement from before: ruclips.net/video/viPD9qwrmac/видео.htmlsi=JgST8_uOKWSECpGh

@mrnarason you're living in the past, Corolla is no longer a cheap student car. New Corollas are more premium, more solid, and thus more expensive
I recenly ordered one from a local dealership his car but in blueprint for otd price of 30,640 bucks
Not built for ppl over 185cm tall. Thats the reason why I didnt buy it. Its a Shame!

Great review. A couple of quick questions, first does it come with a spare tire in the rear, and two can it tow anything, and if so what is the limit?
Thank you! No spare, it comes with a tire repair kit. And I couldn't find anything on towing, so I don't think its rated. Hope that helps!

The Civic has, indeed, gotten huge. It makes me so sad.
What is price of a hybrid battery?
I do not know the battery price, specifically.
It was has 150,000 mile warranty or 12 years so you're okay
No driving light's 👎
