Hey guys! I hope you think this car is cool. It drives so nice! Btw I totally breezed past Toyota Safety Sense, which is important to mention. I included a link in the description to cover that system, for those who are new to it. See you here in the comments! 😎
@@brianrupertiI still have my 2020 Corolla LE with only about 27k miles on it and now in 2024, should be done paying it off in September 2025 but will be keeping it for a long time. Hybrids will be a way to go but if gas models exist on the next gen for corollas, those will be my first pick but then my next purchase will be hybrid. This purchase will be for myself once again but the 2020 Corolla will be handed down to my wife by then.
When I went in to my dealership , thinking about your comment, I said I wouldn't buy unless I got a trunk full of soup and nuts with it. They looked at me like I was crazy.
Things I've never seen from a Corolla car reviewer: cruising up hills (revs pretty high), driving in EV with engine off at 60mph (so cool), driving in snow or on icy roads (AWD is super), hybrid battery usage at cold temperatures (almost no battery contribution at -10C or colder). My biggest complaints are that the front seats have no lumbar support and the range is under 400miles (620km). The dashboard 'distance to empty' is a lie. When I first picked up the car it read 574miles (924km) but I'm averaging under 400miles per tank. For winter driving, the mileage and range are almost identical to my 2007 Yaris. The ride is luxurious and it's the first car I've owned with an acceptable sound system.
Hey. I have been watching some of your videos lately as I wait for my Corolla to arrive. You do such a fantastic job on explaining the features. I enjoyed watching the one you did on the Apple CarPlay features too. Thank you so much for making these. They are a great help. Cheers.
We picked up our '24 Corolla LE Hybrid the day before Thanksgiving. We LOVE it! Getting 51mpg. Love the safety features, trunk space etc. Wife and I are very happy with our choice.
Nice car! My parents bought a 2022 Corolla Hybrid and are consistently beating the EPA estimate, averaging about 55 mpg. When the hybrid was offered with higher trim levels and AWD for '23 I considered getting one myself, but ended up going with a Mazda 3 AWD sedan. I figure soon enough it'll be all hybrid or electric, so I'd have one last hurrah with a good old fashioned gas powered car mated to a 6 speed transmission! But the Corolla and new Prius are both excellent offerings.
Oops. Bought the SE with FWD rather than AWD. Thought the addituonal rear motor didn't add all that much AWD "power", one more mechanical piece to break, a bit more wear on the rear tires and shaves off a wee bit of that famous mpg. I live in the Northeast at sea level. Hoping not to experience buyer's remorse. I just see too many solo folks driving AWD vehicles on paved roads to pick up milk at Stop & Shop and wonder.... Necessary?
Great review!! I subscribed and like. First time Iv viewed your content. Nice in-depth analysis and very informative with a calming, not ‘shouting’ presentation 🤷♂️✅ I’ll be watching more ___ Thanx rd
Here is a short video produced by Toyota that you may want to put in your comment links that answers my question of how does the hybrid work in some more detail. ruclips.net/video/q1KNKhGo4c0/видео.html
I would opt for the dark interior. That moonstone is hideous and looking to get dirty, fast. Also, I don't like the analog gauges. I'm for the digital version now. I honestly think for $28k, you should be getting a touch more glitz. I'd spend more and get an LE Prius. Just my opinion.
I leave connected services availability to the dealers to disclose because there seems to be variation based on region and per model and it confuses people
Thank you Brian! I actually do like this model! I’m actually impressed! I have always preferred lumber support for the drivers seat! I would prefer to have an authentic spare tire! I’m curious as to how soft the material is on the seats. I don’t really care for harsh or scratchy fabric but that doesn’t look like it is. Oh I will definitely consider an AWD Corolla SE Hybrid now! After owning the 21 Camry XSE hybrid I wouldn’t turn down one of those Corolla hybrids! SE Premium package would totally work for me! Welcome back! I know what moving is like ☺️👎! Not the biggest fan! I’m thankful for what I do have! My “go to” Toyota sales rep! Appreciate you kind Sir! With the greatest appreciation always! Mark in Iowa.
Thanks for watching! This is quite the nice smaller sister to your Camry. The material is comfortable. I’d opt for the packages as well. And I agree about the tire. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I always look forward to your comments. And again, I appreciate your kind words and support so much. Thank you, kindly. You’ve made my night!
Hey thanks! This car was so nice to work with. The black makes me want one. This one is for sale and so is its underground grey twin. They’re both base SEs without the convenience or premium packages. Helps it stay below $30k
Thank you for this video. Your video will influence my purchase for sure. I appreciated the well rounded approach, and you covered a lot of things about the car.
I was going to get a corolla but low stock at dealer near me but I want with a camry se nightshade in blue 23. With 6.000 mileage And got it for less then 30 000 out the door

Hey dear Brian, huge welcome back with a special presentation of the Corolla that I really enjoyed watching the review. For me, definitely you're unique by all of your reviews, as I keep waiting your videos one after one. I hope you never take a long time to show up again brother, waiting for you and your family a happy and settled life. Great efforts and sending best wishes for you from Egypt 🇪🇬 Peace ✌️
I was waiting for your comment! Thank you so much for your support and for being there! And thanks for watching! Sending good wishes and many blessings from USA to Egypt!!!
I’ve loved Corolla’s for years but recently purchased a Rav for ease of entry. Hybrid awd Corolla are nearly impossible to find around here. I’m not going to lie. Your comment about leather wrapped steering wheel had me fuming. My wife has leather and I don’t and I honestly never noticed a difference. Never even crosses my mind when driving. Just be thankful you have something to drive. We’ve all become spoiled with our modern cars myself included.

Very nice!
AM THINKING OF THIS AS MY NEXT VEHICLE.
Picked up my '24 Ruby Flare SE Saturday. Sticker - $28,826.00 - out the door - soups to nuts - $28,500.00 cash deal. The car is a gem.
sounds like a pretty good deal, AWD too?

No mention of remote start😖 I believe all 2023s and up w push button start had remote start from the key fob

what's it like changing the headlight bulb or do you have to change more ???
I’ve never done it in a Corolla yet but I would imagine it works like any other bulb. It’s just an LED bulb behind a projector beam.
Man, it just seems like the road noise is alot more than other toyotas but tbh, its gonna be a economy fuel saver. I can't wait to get my black SE.
Yes road noise is more but the fuel savings are great!
Some AIR80 on the windows and quality seat covers can help with road noise.

Hey Brian/Pete lol When is the redesigned 4Runner coming out? Can't wait to see it.
LOL they haven’t told us yet. We’re currently anticipating 2025 RAV4
I want one of these. How much price difference between the Hybrid LE vs this one?
Ballpark $4-5k
Entirely the same drivetrain and suspension? The SE looks so sporty in comparison. Are the lights the same?
Missed your videos !!!!!!
Thanks!!
why normal gauge on se?
idk , the outside looks good, but the inside looks so dated. just compare this to a mazda 3 interior and its just laughable.
Yes Mazda puts their sport luxury foot forward. Toyota puts their reliability efficiency foot forward. Depends on your goal with the car!
