- This video of Western Screech-Owl vocalizing was taken in Silverado Canyon, CA on June 19, 2010. It was taken with a Canon 7D camera equipped with a 100-400mm IS lens. These adorable little owls are always fun to see.

Even though I'm afraid of these things snatching up my dog cause she's small, I think they're SUPER cute. There's a family of them living in the tree next to my house and the little bob/dance they do is so cute!

we have some pretty cool owls that hang out in our pine trees around our place in the late summer to spring, no idea what kind they are but they are so majestic and beautiful, we are by mission viejo lake.
Are they big? Probably Great Horned Owls.

He stops talking at 1:30, but then the music starts again you can hear one call in between.
It'd be cool to go owling at night sometime. I wonder how people track them down.
