I work as a lead for the paint department at sbd/excel/hustler. I will pass this on as much as I can. I do know that generational families do work at this plant separate from the grasshopper plant (5 miles up old 81) in Moundridge. My mother works at sbd/excel/hustler (retiring in 3 days,love her so much & Happy Mother’s Day!) my sister (who graduated from WSU, love her so much) works there and my best friends work there as an engineer. His wife introduced me to my future wife. Thank you for all that you do. I want our products to be the best. I don’t wont have to compete with China. I’ve been watching your videos for the last 4 years. I can’t wait to try out your tall fescue seed at our new home. God bless

I have had to watch this video several times, I cannot thank you enough for all of the time and information you have put out on these stand on mowers. I was in the market for one and like a giant sponge I turned to RUclips for information, where I came across your videos with a wealth of information. It was a tough decision but I decided to go with this Hustler with the 60 inch deck and the Kawi EFI, The dealer was quite a distance from me but between him and the regional sales they cemented the deal.
The donut you called it on the blades is for bolt head protection and also like a stump jumper on a brush mower
Pete they do make the ‘SF’ version of this mower.
It adds the dual shorter fuel tanks and electric deck height actuator .
Only available in 60” and 72” though.
Includes larger Kawasaki or Vanguard w/oil guard motor options and crazy 15 mph speed claims.
The discharge baffle comes standard on most commercial mowers now. It's designed to discharge the clippings instead of them circles back around into the deck, causing the mower to work harder! I have them on my exmark mowers., and notice the motor doesn't bog down in thick green grass as much
Does that mower have a drive belt ? Or just one belt that runs around the pump pulleys, clutch and deck? I noticed clutch is not mounted on the crankshaft of the motor
Is that clutch running of the hydro pump instead being on the crankshaft of the motor? I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that
Any feedback on how it handles and holds on hills?
Great video I have ran a hustler before like the cut quality and holds a hill really well
Pete I don’t like tall grass but you have me liking the tall fescue
The cut quality and hydraulics is why we have been running them for 7 years now with absolutely no complaints
Measure at the cutting edge of the blade with the ruler! Looks adjusted correctly
I have a 2017 Super S 48 inch that I bought new, this is a well built machine never been in the shop or put me down

I love my hustlers. Mine have the older deck adjust design that doesn’t do what you described in the video, not sure why they went away from that design. What they have now looks similar to a scag vride
Scag wanted Hustler's drive system and Hustler wanted Scag's deck so they swapped.

The piece underneath would be called the wiper to prevent clippings from recirculating.
The reverse bar would be a deal breaker for me. Why would they do that?
If someone else were to measure the blade height while you were standing on it, it would probably measure exactly right.

As someone who watches almost all of your videos, be patient on the views… they are long videos and it takes some time to watch all of them… I can watch like 1 or 2 a day so I haven’t made it through all of them yet, and I assume I’m not alone…

Really appreciate you taking the time to do this! Hustlers zero turn hydros are like butter compared to the others I've used.
Agree with your criticisms of this machine. The flat free front casters make for a rough ride. I hope they make the flex forks for the super s soon
Can't recommend the good folks at ace home and garden in yanceyville enough if you decide to get some more hustlers. Im solo, and they get me in and out quickly. All the best Pete (except for your tarheels)
