I was thinking the same thing. A "race" to the center of Slaughterstone Square, a treasure in Slaughterstone Square, etc etc. Though that is probably an evil act.

Exactly what I was thinking 🤦♂️, a bit disappointed by the lack of the trios creativity and tactical prowess this episode. Multiple times the dm was trying to walk them down a certain road and the trio missed the details the dm was giving them.
That’s frustrating and difficult as a dm…

There was a dude named Kelly McLaughlin at my high school. Every year when they did the vote for homecoming queen they forgot to take his name off the list and he got in the top 3, forcing them to redo the vote. Every. Year. Too funny!
My school succeeded in voting for a guy, my senior year for homecoming, and prom. The school tried to prevent it twice and failed.
It’d be really awesome if Monty could do a kind of ‘Behind the DM Screen’ episode after the campaign to talk about how he handled certain situations or ran with something unexpected as a kind of DM advice guide with examples we’ve experienced with the players 😁
Not sure if that breaks any etiquette or breaks the illusion but I think that’d be really cool!

Good grief your crew of people are so cool. I know the guys off screen are putting in a lot of effort to make these episodes flow, so I want to say thank you to them especially for making it happen. But also, you guys are just such a joy to listen to while I’m at work. It’s nice to see a realistic rendition of D&D instead of over glamorized made for TV movie.

He shld have swept the lightning pole arm across the trolls severed neck using the lightning to burn the skin and seal it shut and stabned the severed head instead of kicking it
@@Keith-es2xf It only works with fire and acid. Even though lightning should, it doesn't work. Also you can only use a lightning javelin once per day. When it's used it's just a +1 Javelin.
I think a Troll head would make a good prize. He should’ve kept it in his satchel for severed heads with the flattened ratling head.
@@lawaern3474so, an adventurer might've defeated that harpy, only to decide "yeah this is a nice elvish javelin unrelated to the lightning spell from earlier"

This is SO good. Monty you are such a. Fantastic DM. All the groups with differing motives. The characters backstories weaved into the story. River being impressed with the party getting into the city and the players reactions Jill, Kelly and Joe all were so happy. amazing work all.

Love the callout on suggestion. I think its sad that it often gets used without consequences. Subtle Spell is a thing and would be kinda pointless else.
Although he then allowed several other spells to be cast without notice thanks to a Deception check, seems like there’s no point to take Subtle spell at all.

This plot twist is insane! Actions have consequences. The party spares the Rat Prince and continues to impress by killing the beast of the sewers (messengers of the rat god). Rat prince makes good on bargain to haul out the core. Throw in a couple trolls and a rival. Lets have fun.
This is truly one of the best live D&D streams out there, of which I can only list three (but still looking). Well done team!

Yeah they sent the rats to Oscars place I believe who had a demon statue and forgot about it. Then they came back and the rats made deals with demons and became the end boss.
Great call back then.
Skaven warbands were so OP in Mordheim! :P
@@philipped.r.6385 Seriously. Largest counter radius and highest speed was the best. That game was SO CLOSE to a classic. If only it had gotten strong after release support.
That was a great episode, I loved the Caspian wager and the whiney gnomish bard, yes yes!
God, murder holes, portcullis, double gates. These castle walls are beautifully built. Definitely worthy of being called an AWESOME castle.

So... Pluto actually bests Jupiter by defeating his troll without much stress, while Jupiter gets wiped by his. Veo has to bail him out.
Sebastian utterly humiliates Lemmington by webbing him and leaving him smelling quite horribly before utterly roasting the troll Jupiter was supposed to kill.
AND the party gets gold and hunks of delirium, while getting the genius idea to utilize the Ratlings to create a direct tunnel from the city to Emberwood village.
And though they didn't complete the mission River expected of them, they now have another step forward -- to the Queen's Park Garden to help develop a haze-resistant formula.
This was a good episode for the team. I'm looking forward to seeing this play out.

They didn't gather blood from delerium infused trolls? That seems like it would have been a high value target. Also the blood from Blip Bloop, Cube juice, gnoll blood, etc.
Great for trade with the wizard that's experimenting with it.
I came to these Gaming sessions after seeing the Drakkenheim kickstarter. I was intrigued to know more and found that I really, really enjoy their play style. Ya so now I'm hooked.
I will be ordering Drakkenheim. I hope it will include some maps of those sewers. Also, I'd hope to learn more about tactical map pack.

i sometimes think the stats of Pluto Jackson with CHA and INT should be switched, he pulls off some good RP but is also a bit...well, not the brightest, I.E the trolls but never the less im loving this and all the characters,
I can't stop thinking of Ansem the wise every time I hear the name 😂

This was some of the most interesting combat I've seen. I haven't been into D&D for long, but thanks to this channel and this campaign I've fallen head over heels and waist deep into it. Thanks for your work. Keep it up 👍

I appreciate that the traditional conventions of civilization are just completely lost on the party like ,"Wait, what? Marshall Law? Law?! Like, I-... what? Uhm... alright???..." Or how they completely manipulate virtuous honor for their own convenience. Just an awesome take on a post-apocalypse setting like Drakkenheim.
Also tell that potion maker that you work for the hooded lanterns to get his papers.
He doesn't keep notes, it was all in his head.

Already recognized octarine from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld , but now, with Pluto saying he's just a tourist there for sightseeing, the characters finally click... Sebastian as Rincewind, mage thrown out of magic school, Pluto as Twoflower, rich tourist from a foreign land drawing pictures in his monster hunter journal and disliked by his own people, and Veo as The Chest, neigh invulnerable walking killing machine, eating everything she sees, and resistant to magic.
The Rat Prince reminds me of Zathros from B5 lol

I know this is over 2 years old but I'm almost done with the episode and it seems NO ONE remembered that Oscar is supplying the Hooded Lanterns with Healing Potions and the like... I don't know how River would have reacted to this also did they forget the Delerium deposit they got from the Gnolls?

I´ve never quite understood how we used to get over 1k people wachting us live, week after week, year after year.
I always loved to play, but I couldn´t understand the fun of just wachting other people playing.
Until I found this campaing. I´m completely hooked.
I´ve never thought it could be possible, but I fell in love with every single character and Monty!!!

Speaking as a blacksmith, yes you would want to break it down. In fact I often store my metal as bars or bearings rather than large chunks.
My terra tiles just arrived and I’ve set them up for tomorrow nights game where the party are fleeing a town in a cart, I’ve set up an encounter with a blockade.

Pluto has an intelligence score of 10. More often than not, he comes across as if he has a score of 5 (at best), but sometimes he comes up with genius ideas 😅 I love this campaign so much. This should be made into a movie!!
They need to be calling themselves "The Ghostly 3"
One of the best things of Drakkenheim is seeing the players push the plot foward. Moments like the one in which Pluto suggests getting the Eldritch Lillies, a decisão that changes everything, are very precious. And this campaign has a lot of those!
Let it be known that; If you need to ask yourself if eating something counts as cannibalism, it is probably cannibalism.

You’re right. I probably should have asked. River was an NPC that Monty took right out of my backstory, she and I were in mages school together, I got kicked out, she stayed. Maybe she knows something, but if I didn’t know anything while I was there, why would she? My mom apparently was there before i was born. River and I are the same age. I’ll ask her, just to be safe, when we get beers in emberwood village. I’m more interested in questioning my mentor who River said is in emberwood village now, and maybe my Dad- Kelly (Sebastian)

Only 2 more episodes and I'll be caught up! I'm hoping, if not already happening in the next 2 episodes, that the clock tower gets marked on the map since it's their base in the city. I am glad previous missions (Rat's Nest and the manor) are marked. I'm guessing that once caught up I'll be waiting for a bit for the next episode with the holidays and all coming up but I'm excited I should be live next broadcast! ^.^
On a side note: The fact you guys are so great at actually communicating with everyone so well here, and you mentioning about paetron communications, you have me thinking I might, for the first time ever, subscribe in some form. You guys are awesome!
