You guys are so strong, many blessings to you….when I was 22 weeks pregnant with my baby girl the doctor gave us a bad prognosis: major heart defect, no kidneys and issues with my placenta and umbilical cold. If I decided to terminate I had to do it before 24 weeks ( we live in California) something inside me told me that doctor was wrong and thank God I trusted my feelings. I looked for second opinion and In fact I had issues with my placenta and umbilical cord, however her heart defect was minor, and after an MRI they found out her kidneys were there and in normal position, after amniocentesis they didn’t find any syndromes at all. Now she is a healthy 2 year old girl, she did have a heart surgery when she was 4 months old but she’s totally fine now. I just remember the feeling of just trying to get all the results before my deadline and just talking with my husband and doctors that we might need to carry on a late termination. It was so traumatic…..I send you my best vibes to you and thank you for sharing your story.

Oh wow. Thank you for sharing your story too. I'm sorry for all that stress you had to endure.. I can't imagine a 4 month old having heart surgery. How scary for you! Unfortunately for us, the diagnosis was correct.. a year after the abortion, we got the autopsy results back and it was all confirmed. It's such a tough situation to be in but thank you for your support ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing. I'll be real - it kind of bothered me when the video started and your husband was there with you. I'm so used to men speaking over women about their experiences etc. so this was really a breath of fresh air to see such a healthy dialogue between the two of you. And I'm so sorry for what happened. I think that you spared your son from a lot of potential suffering. It was a tough decision that I can't imagine making, but I think you made the right choice, and I'm glad you had plenty of support, both from each other but from family and the medical teams as well. 💛

Thank you so much for your comment and for watching my videos. I think it's important to have Jeremie there with me as he experienced it too.. a lot of times with miscarriage and infant loss, we only hear from women, but it's both people in the relationship who lose a child. It was hard sharing our story but I hope it is helping people in some way! ❤️

Hi Rosie, thank you for making these videos. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and the anatomy scan showed multiple defects (spine, kidneys, heart, umbilical artery and more). Going for an amniocentesis next week to see if baby girls chromosomes are ok. It’s so sad and scary 😢

Hi Sarah, you’re welcome. It was actually really cathartic to say it all out loud and record it.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I really wouldn’t wish it on anyone. It’s the most stressful time waiting to see what’s going on.
But know you’re not alone, if you ever want to message me on Instagram for a more chatty conversation, it’s @rosieandre_com and I’ll always be there for you ❤️
I really hope baby girl is ok. Sending you all the love and positive energy. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing your story. I am currently going through this. We made a difficult decision to terminate the baby due to generic disorder just yesterday and it was the hardest thing to do when I signed the paper and did the abortion. I’m still dealing with the emotional pain. *hugs*.❤️❤️

I just lost my baby at 26 weeks on the 4th due to preterm labor and because he didn’t get to the er in time . He was my rainbow after 4 miscarriages. I don’t know how to deal or cope with this and feel like a bad mom because I do have two sons living now and I’m just so grief stricken.

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry for your loss. Take as much time as you need to process this, it's such a hard thing to overcome, but you can and you will. Don't feel like a bad mom, I'm sure you're amazing. You might find it hard to be a parent whilst you are grieving but you can only do your best. And that might look different on different days. But your family loves you. If you ever want to message me, send me a message on Instagram instagram.com/rosieandre_com

I didn’t appreciate the “like everybody else” comment 😔 nobodies situations are the same and even if you ddnt consciously mean it you are feeding the pressure on women regarding societal expectations.

So this is an hour and a half open and raw conversation about having a miscarriage and then deciding to have an abortion. And all you have to say are that I shouldn’t have said 3 words. In an hour and a half. I’m not perfect. No one is. I spoke openly and honestly. And I don’t even know what you’re referring to!
