A couple of things to mention in the video. First, the woman paid. Hi, how can I help you? Haven’t heard that in years. Lol.
Man these videos are great.
I’m here 2024… April… minimum wage in California for all restaurant workers is now $20 a hour…. Im flabbergasted
Hi! Did you used to have a lot of network news clips on this channel recorded in Nashville? LOVED the old World News Tonight clips and miss those
That was probably btm0815ma
@@vampirerobot any idea how to reach them?
No. I do not. I wish.
Before society collapse
Love the Styrofoam containers and he has big mac and fish in like 20 seconds, wow!
$10.84 for 2 adults and a kid to eat that must be nice!.....if it was in 2023
McDonalds was paying $5/hr back then. So, there's your false economic comparison.
@@milfordcivic6755 the federal reserve has been destroying our fiat dollar on purpose for decades. But you'll see the 'false economic comparison' when they're shut down soon.
Funny thing is even though I am a 2k kid the mcdonalds near my house used to have this 90s look all the way till early 10s.
Wow. So many skinny people having conversations in English!
McDonald's was my first job in 1993, I worked there a year and a half. I remember the continual waffles shaped burns on my arms from the fry baskets. I remember a lady giving the styrofoam packaging back to me once in protest of its use. I remember the downstairs freezer, storage area and break 'room'. I was so proud when I was allowed to make salads, my first big promotion. Minimum wage was like $5.45/hr and gas was around $1/gallon. Those shirts bring back memories, thank you for this video.
Dang it now I’m hungry!
🤣🤣
Right!! I'm also hungry for those cheaper Mcdonalds prices back then too
@@vampirerobot😂😂😂
Wow! The Fry Kids. I forgot all about them. I remember they used to show them in the McDonald's commercials. Those were the days.
I remember the cash register being that way in 1999 when I worked at McDonald’s in Brooklyn New York .
I enjoyed it. Good old days: everyone just doing their thing. 😎❤❤
Thirty-four years ago. Sobering. Beautiful.
I still remember having birthday parties at McDonald’s. I absolutely loved going to those.
I never had birthday parties at none of my McDonalds as I never knew they existed in the 90's/2000's there. I however loved the play areas . One of mine had Nintendo 64 kiosks and my brother and I played Mario Kart 64 with no other kid there. Our mom had an interview that day, really fun game. We didn't go into the playplace though as it wasn't long.
I miss my 1990s, when people were real… F MODERN CULTURE
90s were not my favorite time at all. Especially the late 90s.
Wonderful memories, my 1st job
80’s & 90’s Vintage
Good old days. Used to work cash back in the early 2000’s and I enjoyed every min of it.
I love the old packaging.and the meat was different back in 70's 80's and 90's.
A couple of things to mention in the video. First, the woman paid. The family is well dressed which could mean that going out to eat was a bit pricey therefore it was valued and seem as an occasion to look nice. The employees are dressed nice which goes back to getting out and making it a pleasurable time. The simplicity is the most nostalgic thing about it.
i think they werent considered "well dressed" .. its just how they dressed.. I think most of us dress kinda sloppy these days.. especially to mcdonalds :P
You seem to be reading too much into everything.
3 meals for $10. Now a days that will barely get you one
This restaurant was nearly identical to the one by my Grandparents' home. Franchisees could design their restaurant based on a few interior options to chose from. This one was definitely the preferred choice in the late 80s with the light blue and brown interior. The one by my Grandparents' maintained this look (and with excellent upkeep) until the 2010s and is now a sad, grey, remodeled location.
That comes to $1.93 PLEASE? You wont hear the word please in todays fast food restaraunts
Ketchup for nuggets? What the fuck!?!?!?!
The era that I grew up in. Anything without smart phones and social media was a better life. That's what ruined society. Look at the life we live in now. I'll do anything to go back in time and relive those great moments again.
Wow! No machine for debit card or apple pay! Straight cash.
I'm sure people used debit cards back then....
Debit cards were around but they started being used more widely a few years after this was filmed.
So that's how they film all those training videos.
Was finishing up my Senior year of high school when this was filmed, great times so long ago.
Take me back to the 90s coz the digital age has turned people anti social no one has a conversation and glued to phones errr
Remember trays?! I miss when you'd get everything on a tray and it was all ready and warmed behind them. All this "made to order" stuff ruined fast food.
Not a self order kiosk in sight
That first customer reminds me why I stop wrking in fast food😒
I really hate when customers put the money on the counter. Once, I had a customer do that so I put their change on the counter & they looked offended. I ain't gaf🤣
What's worse than that Is when the customer puts crumpled money on the counter or in your hands Especially if their an adult and should know better than to conduct business in that manner
The first customer seemed fine. Just paying for his meal. 😃
Exactly, its rude and bad manners not to put the money into people's hand.
1:25 Wow! $10.84 for a happy meal, a small hamburger meal, a Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, and a large fry.
I was a Senior in High School then. It was an important place for teens. So much different.
Now Felicia acts rude and charges 15 dollars
I love this channel
Take a good look at where we are at today. Sad.
so nostagic I was born in 1990 but remember mc donalds where it was the place to hangout.
