OMG Thank you so much, this was sooooo helpful, I have saved this video so I can keep referring back to it, there is so much information in here! You are the BEST!
What an amazing tool. I absolutely love that it works for Instagram and RUclips as well as design for products. It will make it so much easier to keep everything consistent and accessible. Thanks so much for sharing!
Excellent Tutorial! I have been struggling with font combinations for projects. I can see a lot of time spent on Canva in my future. Thank you so much for sharing this!
I commented earlier but I had to let you know!! I tried website, and I did my project! I wish I could share it with you, I did keep going back to your video for every step, but I did a combined font and transferred to Design space, 1st ever! Ty so much 💖🤗!
Can a looks like it will be great. I want to get into sublimation. I love the remove background feature and that it gives design helps. Thanks for the great video!
Lord have mercy, I've been using Canva for years and never knew about the remove background and the font finder. This is so cool, def a game changer ♥️ (p.s. they're doing a one month free trial right now if anybody is interested - not a sponsored comment)
Great tutorial!! I received a Cricut Maker for my bday a few months ago and the only thing I’ve done is cut out a bear which was the starting project lol. It’s definitely way more Cricut than I need but hopefully I’ll get to mastering it at some point. Do you think you could do a video and show us the actual Cricut cutting process with the machine? Like maybe make an image like you did today but show us how to use the actual Cricut to make the finished project using the products you like? If that’s too much for a video, it’s totally fine. I know how busy your days and nights are 💙. I really want to learn how to make decals first, then I can move onto other things. The Maker came with a ton of supplies because it cuts fabric too, but I don’t even know what supplies I have to use to make a simple decal. I’m not even sure if it came with transfer paper. I’d like to know what supplies are the best bang for my money, like rolls vs. sheet etc. Just a thought I had so I figured I’d ask in case it’s something you’re interested in doing as well. Thank you!!
Yayeeee! So cool, I have been struggling with photoshopping for years, and Canva seems like the full meal deal ,easy peasy! So great of you to share! To take the time to do this with a newborn in the house is wonderful of you. Unless this was pretty baby filmed😉 Ps love the quote in your son's room about being a son.
Hey girl I have been using Canva but did not know much of what you taught so thank you and not sure about more questions, but if there is more to know would definitely like to see a round two. ☺
I’ve never heard of this program before and just downloaded it! I’ve had lots of people recommend PicMonkey, and I haven’t found it very user friendly in some ways - even after playing around with the free trial of the paid version. I’m looking to make my editing for things like YT Banner, etc. better looking. The one I made using PM isn’t sized correctly even though it was pre-made template. I’m looking forward to working with Canva. Thanks for sharing!
I tried Canva free yesterday & it's awesome! There's so much there. Is it possible for me to design a sign & print it out on my home printer? I can't figure put how to do it.
Hey, at 16:56 you can left click and drag a box on top of all the text that you want to fill with the background. Then right-click on the dragged box and choose the option to fill all the letters with the background in one shot - If it is a Microsoft software and most softwares!👍🎃
Is it a cut file? I’m thinking it show you exported it, I’d try a higher resolution when you export from Canva. My other option would be to select “complex” on design space when you upload.
I enjoyed your video! It was very helpful! Can you show how to take a transparent digital download image from Etsy (namely the messy bun images where the headband and glass lenses can be changed) using canva? I haven’t been able to figure that out, so purchasing the transparent digital download hasn’t helped me. TIA
Hi Suzanne, are you referring to a cut file or an image? If it's a cut file, I would upload it to your cutting software and select the elements you want to cut. If it's an image you'll want to upload all the pieces you need to Canva and then drag them on to your canvas. I hope that helps!
Great video. Should I add crop and bleed marks to all digital prints (5x7; 8x10.....) or just the larger sizes like 11x14 and 16x20 or not at all unless customer asks for it? Should I offer both jpg and pdf? Thank you.
If they will print it themselves, I wouldn’t do crop marks. But if they plan to order it from a printer, then you can include that option. Also I’d you can, the more file types the better, I think
Hi Maria! Yes, sorry about that, I didn't realize that it was a pro feature when I made the video. No worries though, the description has been updated with a note to show how you can work around that to keep it free. You can remove the background on the remove.bg site and then upload that into Canva. Happy Crafting!

Just for some info. Remove background feature is for Canva Pro
Thanks for the info - the description has been updated with a note to show how you can work around that to keep it free.
Can you go over manipulating printable images and large words/sayings for large signs???
Hi Melissa! I have another Canva video in the works, I'll add this to the list!
What a great video! I have a question once I inserted my design into design space it’s extremely blurry how do I fix it?
Is it a cut file? I’m thinking it show you exported it, I’d try a higher resolution when you export from Canva. My other option would be to select “complex” on design space when you upload.
I enjoyed your video! It was very helpful! Can you show how to take a transparent digital download image from Etsy (namely the messy bun images where the headband and glass lenses can be changed) using canva? Great video I am new to canva. Can I take my own logo and insert into a template?
Yep, just select upload on the left and select your file :)
I wanted to know if you could tell me how to use a trio mug mockup for a sublimation full wrap
Hi Erin, I'm new to sublimation so I'm not sure what a trio mug mock up is 😳
can we use for lyrics music video in canva?
Awesome video! After I upload my design to design space it’s blurry how do I fix it?
Hi there, I'm wondering if you exported in a lower resolution from Canva. I'd do the High-res PNG and try to reupload :)
How do you measure the font size to fit on a sign board??
Can you do a show with Canva on iPhone . It is so different than when using a computer in my opinion.
I agree, I typically do all my designing on my desktop because it's so much easier
Do you have a video on how to make a Buffalo check background printables
I don't. However you can import a buffalo check image into Canva and put a white square and text on top :)
Hi Whitney, can you add perspective in Canva in anyway? Like a wall for instance
Hi Ryan, that's a great question, I'm not sure if you can. I don't think so, but that's not the type of designing I do, so I'm not for certain.
Hi, after you have removed the background, where did you take the image? which site is the for the project in the last section
I uploaded the removed background image back into Canva from Remove.BG
So, if you cover this later please ignore... but do you transfer these to like a cameo 4 after...instead of using silhouette studios. ? Thank You!
I’m only familiar with Cricut, so I’m unable to teach on how to use it with Silhouette
This is great. I do have a question on terms of creating a Cricut file what would be the recommended size would I use Px or inch ?
When I design for Cricut files, I use inches to correspond with the size of the item I'm going to put the decal on.
@@Whiskeyandwhit awesome thank you , would that apply to svg png. Files as well
@@brittnaayyy Yep! I use px measurements when I'm designing digital things like email banner headers and Instagram stories
To use background remover and the effects do I need to be a member?
Hi Maria! Yes, sorry about that, I didn't realize that it was a pro feature when I made the video. No worries though, the description has been updated with a note to show how you can work around that to keep it free. You can remove the background on the remove.bg site and then upload that into Canva. Happy Crafting!
