Did you clip the plastic away from the slave cylinder before installing? I noticed you set it in with the plastic still there.
I leave them on, that plastic piece is made to be able to stay on once it is installed.
I believe once its all installed, the first pump of the clutch petal pushes the ram through the clip. and viola ,, you have clutch again! :)
