When Tom got to the boutique idea, the light went on. Tom is the one advising the monks of Chartreuse, who 11 months after announcing they were scaling back production, opened a Chartreuse boutique on the Champs Elysée. Also, La Maison…….
Tom's annual appraisal should go OK because this is such good work. However, he made one mistake in his presentation: Macallan isn't a distillery, it's a factory. Although he mentioned the 'E' word he could have easily parodied how Edrington has shafted Highland Park - taking it from a core range of 4 to 22 current expressions. Utterly criminal and self-defeating. I hope Tom seeks solace in a Glen Garioch. Macallan has been eating its own tail for some time. Keep up the good work. Now, where are those peanuts......
@@clicknafea Yeah tbh Tom isn't really a Glen Garioch kind of guy. A vodka tonic is the strongest thing I've ever seen him with. 😂 But yes, I think he has similar feelings about the current glut of Highland Park products. For different reasons, perhaps. Why dilute the brand with a bunch of Viking stuff when you could crank the 18yo up to $600 and make sure it's only available to The Macallan Boutique customers in good standing?

Haaa! Well, I can't confirm any of that, but I might have seen Tom running around in a white robe a few times recently...
Just a correction on MacAlbert thang . . . wait until the capitulation, then buy ! haha
Don't think Tom isn't buying on the dip.
Just curious. What watch was Tom wearing?
It wouldn't be Rolex because Tom has those in the vault
...Let's suspend disbelief and pretend it's a gold day-date or something. 😂
Thank you for making this character twice as hateable through the expression of terrible peanut analogies. Truly corporate exec material.
I don't know if Tom even has a C-suite. I think he manages all of this stuff out of like a tiny office in the West Loop somewhere.
