However, this is unquestionably a healthier alternative relative to the norm. Ask anybody with a food allergy (dairy, nut, gluten, etc.). Ask anybody who believes in sustainability, and not deriving their ingredients from animal products. Chickpeas are obviously healthier than the flour, eggs, and butter base of most cookies. Also all of these low calorie alternatives are kind of BS, and people fall for the marketing all the time. You generally don’t fill up on them at all, and you eat 5-10x servings. Rule Breaker is not that, it actually fills you up. Mark is generally on point, but he was off here imo.

The calorie question was an opportunity. She should have stressed that they had far fewer sugar calories and that a lot of the density was from fat and protein from the chickpeas and sunflour butter. Those are healthier calories and calorie types that vegan diets actually need to focus on getting an adequate amount of.

She's older and probably has a lot saved in her retirement which is safe in case the company goes out of business. Worst case scenario she moves out of that big house she has and moves into a smaller apartment and retires from there. She resumes reading and writing books. Or she can do a little consulting work since she used to work for a huge magazine. She's so happy that I'm sure she can brush it off that she tried for something she really believed in. When you get older and towards retirement you don't need much other than a 1 bedroom apartment with a bathroom and a kitchen. Kids are probably long grown up. That woman is at least in her 50s at this point. Probably almost 60.

The price is always the issue even if the product is good (I'm not saying if this one is good or not). Most people that want a tasty snack don't want to have to pay 2x or more than they'd normally would even if it's healthier. It seems kinda odd that a lot of food in stores have gone up in price, but not most of the pricier healthier snacks. The ones that cost a little under $6 in California are still the same price while everything else has gone up. It's nice that the healthier M&M, Reeses, etc... type snacks haven't gone up in price, but that tells me that these kind of food didn't need to be priced this high in the first place.
