These guys are probably the coolest entrepreneurs I've seen on shark tank in a while. I'm usually in on this show out of interest in startups, but these guys really just made me laugh the entire time and I loved seeing how confident they were in themselves.
Even though they didn't get a deal, they're definitely going to succeed considering how much love and passion they have for their silly yet handy product.
They ended up getting bought out for an undisclosed amount. They are probably doing fine.
You should also watch the pitch for “I want to draw a cat for you” for the same reasons hahah
These guys need a womans line
For once someone has a reasonable (if not low) valuation, multiple patents, really cool product and good margins and nobody takes them on. Makes you wonder if over-valuing the company so it doesn't feel too small for the shark's time is the right way to go
It definitely is. Especially with Mr. Wonderful, it's a very easy way to manipulate him into a deal. If the product is decent but your valuation is too high, he always feels the need to correct your valuation by making an offer on what he feels is the right valuation. And also the same goes for other sharks as well but not as much.
I mean you can tell it just doesn’t fit. Robert and Lori are def not the market for this and in fact their customers would prob turn on them if those were the spokespeople. And Damon said it himself that they are already doing fine and he wouldn’t add much to it. They will be fine it’s not like this needs to be pitched on QVC or by the Mavs
I think it’s the sales for them tbh because it did seem like a good deal

Your not going to see anyone in the America (hunting fishing space) its too much americana. They are looking for vegan, bug chips, business with a cause.
I'm not an entrepreneur by any means but I think a company like this would thrive in Canada. Especially in lots of hunting and fishing stores
I hope they do well, I think they will do well in a college town and especially in the colder states

cuz right there....they are blue collar like me....we work our asses off in whatever job....but we are not considered elite......i rather live than put up with the royalty bulkshit...
What an investor should provides besides money is growth potential and none of them have any direct experiences or investments with this type of business... Think about this, ever see some comedy actor who does alot of comedy (ie Kevin Hart) do a horror movie? Probably not... But if he has wouldn't feel a bit strange to you and the movie wouldn't be as scary. Thus it would lose out on its horror aspects. Basically you want the right guy for the right job to get the best potential growth.
On a side note I agree the business and the two guys are spot on with their pitch.
@@oknice8325 Umm, yeah, comedic actors do all kinds of movies, not just comedy. I just watched Ryan Reynolds in the Amityville Horror the other night. Jim Carrey has done it as well.

Sometimes when the Sharks are out and they all give praise, it’s with good reason. They know these guys can succeed on their own and they’ll be richer for it.
I also think the growth trajectory was not lucrative enough for them and the ROI just didn’t pencil out.

its a shopify store with chinese manufacturers and not enough room to scale, if u go on their website the copywriting and marketing is not that good they even tell customers in the footer they wont reply fast and its not their full time job. it doesnt matter how little the investment is the commitment and time to spend on something they absolutely know will not succeed is not worth it.... but the founders are cool guys!

Thing that astounds me is you got two guys with great product, who did great pitch and gave decent percentage for shark to take for reasonable 25k. To the sharks 25k is nothing and could took a good gamble with them hit a nice return 🤷🏼♂️
Kevin should have gotten it just because I hardly ever see him do deals, and this one was dirt cheap. If nothing else you got a couple cool drinking buddies.

Not getting a deal was the best thing that could’ve happened to them. Now there will be other investors hitting them up and they will be just as effective without the premium cost of one of the sharks. Not just that, they got the exposure.

Hell yea!! I love Iowa and spent almost 20 years there and my sister still lives there with her husband and I was literally just there yesterday. Good honest, hard working people. I like it too cause when I drive through her neighborhood everyone waves hello to you. My family is from Illinois but the Midwest was a great place to grow up in my opinion.

Yes the manufacturing is in China , but that a piece of the pie. There warehousing/ customers service would be jobs for the small town. Just because a product is made in china doesn’t mean that company doesn’t provide jobs in America
You do realize products can be made in China but companies still have to do the logistics of it. A small distribution warehouse in their hometown can bring in jobs. You could have jobs from unloading the product when it arrives, packing and fulfillment, marketing and numbers etc. Plenty of jobs to be seen locally

Pretty lame that the sharks couldn't throw these guys a few bucks. They would get their money back so fast. Disappointing to say the least.
One of the sharks could of easily gotten these guys a licensing deal with some sports teams on the clothing for tailgating. I really think the sharks blew it.
Couldn't agree more. They have such unique patents for the products....its an instant deal. Hell, Kevin could've just offered a royalty deal and made the money back rather quickly.

They should launch an ad campaign in North Texas. There are quite a few colleges all condensed in and around Dallas. There’s a small town called Commerce that’s built solely around Texas A&M (one of them, anyway). I think they could do really well there.
They didn’t get a deal but this will be a viral video for them that will increase there sales 50x I would imagine,hope they get their manufacturer sorted so they can keep up with the influx of orders they will get then word of mouth will keep them going and people seeing others wearing them and wanting one,I think this was a good investment at 33.3% I would have taken it.
That was lame by Daymond. He seems like he never gets deals lately and now he does that. It's not like it was a huge risk, they were only asking $25,000 for a full 25% of the company with over $50,000 in sales and something that goes heavily viral.
I think Daymond actually did what was right for the company. If he took 25% and wasn't able to help after that, that would be the ultimate dick move.

I'm not a fisher, but if I was I or an outdoor worker, I think these waders are pretty cool. I know I'd carry some cold drinks & conceal for protection. Only thing, they should at least say for the working/playing man or woman. Women fish & work outdoors, too.

Those guys should have got a deal. 💓 It's not much of money. They even have a patent. Those sharks dont want to waste their time on little things out seems. One of the sharks could have easily made it a thing though. Hope they do good.

It's not always the money or the risk b or the return. This was just a situation where the investor felt they weren't right for the product. It would be like Dr. Phil endorsing a diet plan or hair care products.

It's not a total and complete loss though. Yeah they didn't get the money but a couple sharks said they have a good pace going and are doing well as it is, it's not like they didn't like the product.

I was pretty surprised Daymond was out on this… he seemed to understand the clothing and the fishing… but he may have been honest that he might have gave them the wrong advice too cause he is more fashion oriented than function so maybe it’s for the best… good luck to them
It would have been great if Daymond and Mark went in together. Someone who understands the fashion part that Mark doesn't and Mark's got the entire tailgating, sport, college sectors.

The reason why they didn't get a deal because it's not their full time effort. It's their part time job. The sharks want their ppl to be fully invested in it. Otherwise it steers them away.
