- Game of Thrones has ended and the Witcher may be the next Game of Thrones. The Witcher series on Netflix will be based on The Witcher books! When the Witcher Trailer came out everyone was shook because it looks like it will be awesome! Many people already know Geralt , Yennefer and Ciri from the video games, But in this video series I will be breaking down all of the witcher books. The first book in the Witcher series is the Last Wish, and the Last Wish has 7 short stories in it! I will go thru each short story and in this video I will explain the first short story in the Last Wish titled The Witcher! We will meet King Foltest, Adda and many more! Thanks for Watching!

The Polish based names can be difficult for an American ear.
Peter Kenny, who reads the English language translation of The Witcher Audible audiobook series, has a really great pronunciation of Names, towns, monsters etc…
If you’re interested in listening to someone pronounce the words as they were meant to be spoken. (No shade meant - just advice, and good vibes, Gray 🤗).

Question: at the very end of this book, what happened to the young girl at the temple who had a convulsion? I didn’t understand the meaning of her words.
Ain't much that I love more than The Witcher series ❤️
The last wish is separated in past present and then future, in the present we start with Geralt taking the contract for the Striga then he goes to the temple of Melitele gets roasted by Neneka and he tells her some of his adventures like the grain of truth over some beers 🍺 , afterwards they get a visit from those two guys of the white rose telling Geralt to leave... He then tells the a lesser evil story to Yola or Neneka but I am not sure but I think it was to Yola because his conversation with her he talks about Blavikan and also mentions Cintra and his regret on what he did, which takes us to the next Chapter where they explained what happened in Cintra. That's how far I got until now and that's how I interpreted the story (The Last whish isn't just random short stories without a fixed timeline to me the timeline is actually pretty clear specially because I kinda new what was going on because I played the games)

I'm so glad you are doing these! I've read the Last Wish and The Season of Storms and only part of Sword of Destiny. I have high hope's for the Netflix adaptation. I'm really needing something to fill the void of GoT. I did just finish watching S1&2 of Mindhunter, on Netflix, which is extremely good. The writing is great and the subject is fascinating. Imo. Fyi for anyone looking for something to binge watch.😊

@@GrayArea Yes, it's a huge investment in time for sure. Did my third go-around with audible. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer did an excellent job reading all the books.
I think it will be a hit series and I believe there a few people starting to do vblog beside Daniel Greene and Naeb'lis.
Anyway, I believe you will have your hands full with the Witcher series. Hoping it brings you all the success you have with AGOT.

The first season of 1 was pretty good but the last few episodes were mid & season 2 was just aweful.
