To take down an SSD in this game, I found 3 ways 1. Have an SSD of your own 2. Have a Crap ton of capital ships with large fighter wings and high damage (Mon cal ships suggested due to strong sheilds) 3. Block out the stars with fighters and bombers
It really blows my mind how beautiful you managed to make EaW look. Bravo. That part where you zoom in on the nebulon-bs skirting across the annihilator's hull as they get blasted to dust is sooo satisfying to watch. Instant flashbacks to that scene in rogue one when the devastator exits hyperspace.
I can totally imagine the last words of the crew "Admiral, shields dropped, the ship was severely damaged, and almost all the guns were destroyed... we hit them a good one with the destruction of the station... we... we have to retreat" and the admiral (or the captain, I'm not sure) who looks at the one who reported it and says "no! all their fleet must be destroyed, we have the largest, and the most powerful ship has light years round about, and the empire does not retreat, keep firing"... 10 minutes after "Admiral! the ship collapses! the remaining arming is disabled! half the bridges have blown! what should we do?" the admiral looks his soldier in the eyes and says "I'm sorry..." KABOOM i think i have problems in my head... well it's not really a surprise, the Empire Ship are not made for fight against multiple fighter, against bigger ship, they're OP, but, this is exactly why the rebel have win... sadly... YES I'm for the Empire !!

Trying to out fighter the rebels is not possible in quality or numbers it is their strength, they also had multiple fighter screening vessels so your fighters had no chance. I assume you are just messing around because otherwise surely you would know that you do not send an SSD in without a support fleet particularly against the rebels. Mod is looking awesome though. I am sure that SSD has enough fire power to outgun a bunch of Nebulon B's and fighter screening vessels.
All of these videos are recorded while I'm testing new content or trying to fix bugs, in this case I'm testing the new length of turbolaser projectiles, I'm quite happy with them so far. Since the latest patch was released the Purifier does take up 50 CP, so you can only send it in alone due to its increased power from the faster projectiles. The fighters were abscent due to the Corruption on the planet, causing fighter garrisons not to spawn. Even without the garrison I should've won the battle though, but it appears the laser satellites are bugged, causing their laser damage to apply to all hardpoints simultaneously, as well as the ships overall tactical health value. This is why this sort of testing is really useful. Cheers

Idk the Titan class star destroyer is meant for the element of surprise I took out the filthy rebels with only one Titan class star destroyer cuz of its ability to activate the cloaking device

When you realized that majority of your starboard turrets were destroyed with most of your port still active, it'd have been awesome had you tilted to bring those guns to bear on those Nebs.
laser turret is obviously OP in this game, because, it can damage to whole location at a same time.(and i think its a bug or something else that modder never expected) i mean, it can attack shield, engine, all of their laser turrets at same time. if you find any stational laser turret, you have to destroy it otherwise it kills your massive SSD.
When I saw those rebel ships in the second battle, I knew that you would struggle, when you had no Shields or support ships I realized that you will lose the battle
How is the mods' stability Gc - wise? I play the battle commander mod but it's impossible to load a save in GC after an hour or so so I'm thinking to download the Remake mod
I would say it depends on the GC, some GC are only 2 factions, while some have all 13, big GCs have a bug where you can't save, but I think other than some ocasional crashes, it's really worth it, if you want better performance: First, install the 1K textures pack, can be downloaded here: www.moddb.com/mods/empire-at-war-re/downloads/very-high-performance-textures1 to install, replace all textures by the one provided in the pack, path is as followed: corruption/mods/EAW-Remake/Data/Art/Textures Overwrite all.
Atleast the star wars shields and most other types of shields commonly used in sci-fi dont protect against physical objects. This includes debris, asteroids or of course weapons like torpedoes or ships themself.
We also know that SW ships, at least Star Destroyers, are laughably fragile, as seen in Rogue One’s Destroyer collision scene. *Note that the disabled Destroyer apparently went right through the functional Destroyer’s raised shields as well.*
Don't underestimate rebels, they can fight dirty. My friend and I agreed on a treaty to make the biggest space combat we could. I had 6 super star destroyers, 50 star destroyers, and various other crafts. My friend pulls a dirty move and makes an army of nothing but hundreds of bombers. It was like a swarming cloud of hatred. I never stood a chance in those odds
Ok, one question, I installed the mod just like you did in your vid and from the moddb page, I did the 4gb patch fix, also I did the v0.95 patch from moddb the game works great no problems, its just after about 8 - 10 mins the game crashes. I have the Steam version from the workshop and your version from moddb, I have patched both .exe (FoC and EAW .exe) with the 4gb patch, and the v0.95 patch, what do I need to do to get it to stop crashing? I have tried using different cores, setting the priority in Task Manager. I dont know what to do. I did manage to get through one skirmish without a crash last night after I applied the v0.95 off moddb but I tried again today and it crashed. Any ideas or theories? Great mod btw, absolutely beautiful. Also I have not patched the Steam version yet with the v0.95 and have not tried it with the patch, but it still crashes, I will patch it and see if that helps.
Also, I changed the pop cap for Skirmishes, would that have anything to do with the crashing? No sorry just remembered I havent changed the pop cap for the Steam version and that still crashes. I am playing the Steam version right now with the v0.95 patch, I will reply to this with my results. :)
Ok, so the skirmish was going fine, and then the rebels spawned in Ackbar and the game crashed, so it lasted a long time, since my last comment when the match started to this comment when it crashed, so I dont know what is causing it, there is no way its my pc. So its either the games engine or something else.

I think it's worth noting this is still an early beta version of the mod. He definitely needed some fighter support in the end.

Big ships simply don't do well against smaller ships. The various CIS mods taught me strength in smaller ships cause they put out so many fighters

Its because star wars is limited to 2 gigs of ram, theres a patch that comes with the mod to make it 4 gigs which helps alot
It's the game, not your computer.
And that's the reason you shouldn't send a extra large dreadnougth focused on ship-to-ship combat against a lot of high-quality star fighters
