My friend Zack got to sit next to him in a classroom for a day on the set of Patch Adams, and remarked about how sidesplittingly funny, and how genuinely kind he was to everyone on set.

He was a remarkable comedian, actor, and man. Everyone seems to have loved him. It’s heartbreaking to know how he was suffering. I am SO sorry for his family and friends. There will never be another like him!

I grew up watching Robin, he was a very special person and as the years passed and I grew older my admiration of him also grew. I have to say the news of his passing shocked me in a way that the passing of someone close to me would. About a week later I became very ill with a pneumonia which I thought was only the flu and I only saw a doctor after it had become septic. I went into a coma and the doctors had given up hope. I miraculously did recover and throughout a long and difficult convalescence I thought about Robin and how much he made me laugh which made me feel better. I spent a month in the ICU and the comfort I got from thinking about him and not about my predicament was a literal lifesaver. Thanks Robin, your spirit remains with all of us and you will never die 💫

I am still affected by the tragedy of Robin Williams suicide. I think probably millions are to one degree or another. Robin was such a manic comedic genius. there will never be another quite like him.

I have always felt that Robin's acting ability far exceeded his ability to simply make us laugh. Never quite understood what it was about him exactly. Recently watched an old Dick Cavett episode featuring Sir Lawrence Olivier reading from his favorite Shakespeare sonnet. Noticed something at the end of the reading that I had seen but never recognized. When Robin gave a serious performance his facial expressions nearly mirrored Olivier's. Robin had that rare ability to project emotion through the slightest physical gesture or movement. I think every great actor has this ability. I miss him.

He did have bouts of depression, for sure, but his wife has revealed that the death may have had a lot to do with his recent diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and, in particular, the "Lewey Body Dementia" that accompanied that diagnosis.

He was facing a third divorce and was already paying 130,000 a month to the first two vampires. Family courts will not reduce the rates because they get a percentage, and they don’t care if your sick and can’t make as many movies. All three vampires are fighting over the trust he left his children. He did not even get a plot or gravestone. I wonder why marriage is on the decline.

Robin was suffering and knew he was going to become a burden to those who knew him, He did the right thing but knowing him I would have expected him to overdose he did so many drugs over the years that's why his ortopsy showed no serious drugs?

suicide leaves a tragic and destructive legacy for the children, grandchildren, and other relatives of the person who completes suicide. the suicide rate of first-degree relatives and second-degree relatives of those who complete suicide is greater than that of the general population. there is no simple "he did the right thing" to suicide.
