I hadn't even considered Honda in my purchase decision-making, but after watching your review and doing some research, I was sold. Put down a deposit on one yesterday. So glad your review popped up on my feed when it did!
Driving Civic X 1,5 CVT and CR-V m:hev and owing civic XI m:hev would choose last one. Interior quality, driving, responsiveness to kicking acceleration pedal and fuel consumption are incredible outstanding. Could achieve 2,9 l/100 km in a city. The only weak point is noise hearing from wheels. I’m going to spend some money to make it more silent.
@@maxcc9161 Exactly how, I don’t know but it works (based on drivers opinions). I know companies here in Poland offering such changes. It cost ca 500-550€. They offer also same with doors - same cost, and floor - much more expensive.
It would be interesting to research the differences between the Civic and the Acura Integra. There might be some extra insulation in the Acura, which should be a plug-and-play solution to improve the isolation
I have now bought an Advance. It's excellent.....worth every penny, and great fun to drive. I traded in my Audi A6 TDI Quattro. My fuel bills have shrunk dramatically.
@@bagets007 Very impressed. Good handling, comfortable and feels premium. I really like the panoramic roof, Bose system and one goodies. Mph really good. I came from an FK8, so very different but no regrets. I am from the UK. Enjoy.
Did it surprise you how fast it felt? mine certainly did, I have had hot hatches that have not felt as fast, especially the pickup on the motorway say 55mph to 75mph. It is very impressive.@@bagets007
Do the sunvisors extend? My commute involves low lying sun and it always shines through the gap on the side window. Extending sunvisors like my partner’s Kia Seltos is one of those small touches that make a huge difference.
Probably sometime next year, we cant even get them here in the UK, dealer order books wont be re-opened til September and still after will be a 9-12 month wait!!!!
European supply is from Japan. USA are expected to be built locally. Just hope the supply chain on critical components will satisfy both assembly plants plus of course the Malaysia factory. It's certainly worth the wait having owned mine for 6 months, great drive.
A bit hard to compare it to a Golf or Mazda 3 as the powertrain is so different. They’re both great cars for the money, so I guess it would really come down to personal taste.
@@4wheelsandaseat there's two UK based youtube reviewers that made direct comparisons to the Golf and preferred the Civic Hybrid. It's about which car one prefers more in terms of enjoyment and fun I suppose regardless of the cars different power trains.
55K, and fuel economy. I'm not laughing, I just bought a Corolla Touring Sport. But yeah, I'm laughing a bit. I guess if you want a brand new car, you can't go wrong with either. But if you really want to save money, get some cheapo Honda / Toyota second hand until it dies, and buy another one a few years later. Then go electric when EVs are actually worth a damn.

Great to hear! So happy to help you. Hope you enjoy your car once it arrives! Thanks for watching.
I have watch a number of reviews on this car and all have nothing but good things to say. A very desirable car if only it was a tad less expensive.
Yes it is expensive, but somewhat justified. Thanks for watching!
Well its hybrid, so that adds Like 10k at start.

I am intrigued to understand how you would insulate the noise from the wheels?

I have an Advance (UK) regen braking stays on when in sports mode, you appeared to have missed that.
about to get mine in 2 weeks. how is the drive?

Yes
@@DisiKleep thanks for replying instead of OP. OP can’t seem to answer a simple question.
Why would you want an electric civic. This e-power type of hybrid setup is the best and the main selling point for this car.
Are you able to do an in depth review of the new Honda ZRV eHEV please?
Yes I want to! Just waiting on Honda to loan me one :)
Hahaha, thats exactly how i struggled to open the bonnet of my own civic advance😂😂.Very satisfied with my car though.
That bonnet release gets me every time. I just had the same struggle with the Type R! Thanks for watching.
I love this car and own one... the only thing that annoys me is you can not display the map on the instrument cluster as it has the space to do it
how is getting in and out? I am a bit of a big guy. I love the car and it test drove amazingly but I am worried about how low you seat and clearance!
@@HiCZoK I have had no problems, but I would check first
still got serpentine belt to service?
Shame we don’t get a base model with manual transmission.
The regenerative braking stays on permanently in sports mode (don't ask).
When can we expect it to arrive in the US

@@fidsey2 same in Switerland, more than 1 year of delay.
Same in Spain, ordered in November 2022 and still no delivery date, it has no sense.
@@Oslo-ho3ws that's why I will probably buy in the end a nice second-hand Civic model 10.

Is this better value than a Golf GTI or if not is it better than a Mazda 3?

Fair call. EVs will no doubt get more and more affordable in the years to come. Thanks for watching!
Can skinny jeans be over soon, please?
Haha. My mum said I look like I’m wearing ballet tights!
Made sure you buy ear plugs this car is far to noisy
