    This was a well-deserved Oscar. She showed absolutely incredible acting with only 5 minutes and 40 seconds of screen time and won an Oscar for it. The range she displayed was jaw-dropping. And it still holds the record for the shortest performance in history to win an Oscar. Congrats to Beatrice!

      Absolutely. Her mother was a Whitney, so she came from aristocratic stock. Her carriage oozed gentility; she couldn’t help it. What a fabulous actor she was as well.

    Imagine, how Sylvester felt in these times. Year before 1977 Oscars he was poor and almost homeless. And year later he was at Oscars, not poor, not homeless, but actor on the rise who doesnt need to worry about future. It had to be great feeling back then.

People are more lonely, because we rely our relations more in interest,money. And the global warming is a big threat to our planet. There are many things today that humans don't have to be proud of. Maybe I'm wrong, but I have a sensation that nowdays we are more consumers that owners of a real happiness, because we dont find happines anymore in simple thing.We want more & more, with no satisfaction.

    Completely forgot this was an award for the actress 😂 I don't think I've ever seen Stallone so happy As he was here, you can tell that getting his big break with Rocky changed his life and he was enjoying every minute of it

    Absolutely brilliant. This screenplay, these words. This scene is a masterpiece. Beatrice is extraordinary here, she made a lifetime scene, full of complexities, in 5 minutes. One of greatest breakdown scenes in film history. Brilliant actress, Holden is also excellent. Deserved Oscar.

    She had very little screen time but she proclaimed her speech with great emotion. What a well written speech from a rejected wife. This was a surprise win.

    Beatrice spent more time on the stage than she did in the movie she won for.
    Edit: Not literally, but she was only in 5 minutes of Network. Despite that, she REALLY deserved her win.

    Even tho bruce lee had passed away 4 years before this.. u can see his fighting style being used by Muhammad ali.. one where you use rear hand for defense in strikes.. amazing to see that Muhammad really did train with bruce lee
