  • It’s no secret that Americans are just plain busy. Our days seem to be filled with an endless loop of activity, and we are exhausted, burned out, and stressed because of it. Stress and "busyness" can cause a host of unpleasant health issues like weight gain, anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia, brain fog, cardiovascular disease, and more. Personally, if I don’t maintain a healthy work life balance, my body will let me know pretty quickly that I am off-track. What to do?
Prioritize you and prioritize sleep (I use my Sleep Blend at nicolesapothec...)
    Take time to recharge
For more details about how to do this please see the full blog article here:

Sometimes we need a little extra help in relieving stress. Herbal remedies are a gentle and effective way to clarify your mind and soothe your spirit. My favorite calming and adaptogenic herbs include: Ashwagandha, Lemon Balm, Lion’s Mane Mushroom, and Reishi Mushroom, which I’ve combined in my convenient Anxiety & Stress Tincture, which I use daily. Find it at nicolesapothec...
Search my science-based herbal and holistic wellness blog at nicoleapelian.... for more science-backed holistic health and wellness articles and visit my apothecary at nicolesapothec...

You are spot on. I have Stage 4 Breast cancer that has metastasized to my spine...but not going the normal pharmaceutical route. Instead, stepping back a bit, learning to relax, meditate, and, of course, learning a whole new way of eating (more organic veggies and fruits at this point). I am also my husband's caregiver which is stressful in of itself. So, just started taking a bit of time for myself to meditate and to 'doodle'. Maybe someday I will be the "Grandma Moses of Doodle Art. LOL I am 71 years young. Still in the learning phase, but what you just said speaks volumes to me. Thank you.

I saw a tiktok video a women saying her dr. said she has 3 months, but she then did her own research and started taking soursop capsules and 3 apricot seeds per day and her cancer was gone after 3 months.

      How is your cancer now

@@hepzlawrence7710 So far so so good. I'm still kicking. LOL Still no chemo, no radiation, and no meds. I do allow a non-chem infusion that helps strengthen my bones where were attacked. But only do that once every three months. My doctor is a good guy who puts up with my pharmaceutical avoidance. I have now joined a local gym and workout on the treadmill and use light weights. So getting stronger, healthier. Also, I keep learning all I can about good health and natural ways of healing. It's a journey, one that I am enjoying because in the end, I will, I believe, help my doctors know that there are more ways to help their patients than what they learned in med school. It needs to be a combination. My way, I'm sure, is not for everyone. But it should be put out there for people to make up their own mind on how to be medically or holistically treated. Just my thoughts.

100% agree with you!!! I had a "crash day" yesterday....so glad my internet was out (just not that it was caused by a wreck) but I had the day to rest since I work online from home. My body was going down. I work full time as a nurse, and three jobs on the side of RUclips, sewing for the public, and running our website and making those products. I have had to learn to say "no". I am learning I can't do it all....Love you Dr. Nicole! You really changed my medical way of thinking and have taught me a lot in your books. So much information to share! I wish I was born in the 1800's to get rid of all these conveniences. They are nice ....but at what cost? ❤️💋 Kacy

Been watching Alone and have seen you on a couple of seasons now. My heart goes out to you when I see you go through MS attacks. I know you rely on plants for medicine but I can’t help but wonder if the high oxalate plants are hurting you. I have been following a lot of carnivore stories lately and numerous people have reversed numerous diseases including MS by cutting out foods that contain oxalates and only eating meat/seafood/eggs. Especially ruminant meats like beef, lamb, bison. I can’t help but wonder if the rhubarb that you ate in season 5 did you in since rhubarb is extremely high in oxalates. I think you are an amazing survivalist, not just in the show but in life. I loved watching you in the show and I have your book. Hope you are better and hope you keep finding optimal solutions. Really hope you give carnivore a try or at least go really low oxalate.

My partner Got your book after I got out of the hospital following the realization I have RRMS. I was numb and tingling from the chest down, especially my feet and saddle area. I had extreme bouts of the MS hug, back and neck spasms. Those are still atound today, 3 years later.
My partner is a food forester with a special interest in medicinal plants, and I have special interest in wild foraging, and Mutualism + Commensalism, our footprint on nature as human beings.
When i saw your journey on Alone (just watched the whole season a few days ago) I was absolutly captivated by your relationship with the bears. Ive had an interest in bushcraft for some time now, but Im basically trapped indoors fkr a majority if the year due to bith heat and cold intolerance. Ive been wondering if its even possible for me to go out there in my property. Build a shelter, and practice my skills without the looming threat of exerbations or relapse. The heat makes me dizzy and weak, the cold gives me intense painful spasms.
What would you do to deal with those symptoms so that you could go outside to do what you wanted to do?
    Thanks for reading!

Hi Nicole. I would like to ask you a question directly. I don't know if it's you or someone who runs your account who responds to messages. My dream is to live totally in nature and self-sufficiency, I would like to ask you a question if you have tried that life in Africa and know a lot. Best regards
