- In the early hours of a sultry Sunday morning, Fidel Lopez took a cigarette break. There was a balmy breeze and above him, just a sliver of a crescent moon, a night like many September nights in southern Florida at the height of hurricane season. Fidel relaxed from what he had just done, he drank in the night air and cleared his head.
Inside the new apartment, just past the broken sliding glass door, his 31 year-old girlfriend lay in a pool of her own blood, dead or dying. He finished his cigarette and steeled his nerves to make a call to 911.

If you share walls with anyone you should never have loud music on.

I smile when my neighbors are playing loud music. Live life, enjoy life. It can't be all the time. And it can't be in the wee hours of the morning. I enjoy seeing others enjoy themselves. Go get a house if you don't like it. Apartment dwelling is not for you.

I mean it is south Florida, all type of Latinos that speak Spanish in law enforcement there. They should have asked would he prefer a Spanish speaker. Or he could have requested one himself. But I agree, his English was really good.
"That is not human, man, I just took her life". This raw moment gave me chills. He was aware of everything, despite the alcohol.
So glad I quit drinking after 20+ years.. a blackout and dark bruises plus broken glasses and a week out of work finally convinced me to cease. If you are on the fence about quitting, please know that you can do it too. 💪

I only drank for about 2 years, and I quit after I black out. I thought moderate drinking would be me, but that doesn't always happen. I'm glad that I never hurt anyone BUT MYSELF. I couldn't live with myself if I hurt anyone.

Congrats, dawg. I just passed 10 years few months ago after suffering similar incidents in my life. Honestly, all of us alcoholics have the same story, the details are just a bit different. That choice has made all the difference.

I can never understand why neighbors never call the police when they hear screaming. If what she went through was that bad in an apartment the screams of pain would have been horrific and no one cared to call or even knock on the door.
exactly! my neighbour called the police when she heard screaming and muffled cries next door. Unfortunately the police were too late to save the kid. The killer answered the door, asked if he could just get a cigarette and the police let him close the door for a few minutes whilst he was moving the teen to the shed. I’ll always wonder if he could have been saved if the police didn’t let him go back inside.

When I hear a scream or crying, I call the cops and they never do anything unless we know what apartment it’s coming from.

Same thing happened to me, had someone I thought was a friend break into my apartment and try to strangle me to death. I screamed and pounded the walls and no one ever came.
I managed to escape and call the cops, they came and interviewed my neighbors, and later I learned every one of those sick jerks heard me but not one lifted a finger to help me.
I already knew about this case. For anyone who doesn't know the details...I guarantee that what you're imagining doesn't even come close to what this monster did to her. It may be the most violent and disgusting attack I've ever heard of.

That Lopez claimed this was a consensual act, is repulsive. "Beyond Evil" is not only a fantastic channel, but an apt description for what this creep did to his girlfriend.
I like to think that when murderers get to Hell they get the same thing done to them, repeatedly.
Him claiming it was consensual was so beyond sick. Not to mention cowardly.
While it may have been, you don't disembowel someone just because they ask you to.

I listen to true crime every night and this story made me so sick. They left out a ton of this story and it was for the better. There is a full interrogation and confession in detail and it was beyond horrific. That documentary still gives me a sick feeling and is one of the most disturbing true crime documentaries I've ever listened to. This monster deserves the same done to him 10 times over. RIP beautiful girl...

This is one case that made me so ill. Out of respect for the victim and her family, I know you left out so much of the details of what he did to her, but it was absolutely horrific. I can't imagine the pain and fear she went through while this was going on. One of the worst things is that you know this was not a quick death for her. My condolences go out to her and her family. He should have never been given a plea and should have been put to death.
I watched the interrogation on a different channel… I couldn’t believe he did that to her, and claimed it was a consensual act because she was asking him to do that to her, more so it is repulsive he wasn’t given the death penalty.

I’m a woman and I honestly can’t even imagine it. The cervix is a super hard wall of muscle, and beyond that are the pelvic floor muscles. The force he would have needed to use to pierce that with his bare hand is just…unimaginable. It’s impossible to punch through that by accident, it would have taken him a _long_ time.
This version is EXTREMELY MILD compared to the actual FULL STORY. I have watched the actual full interrogation of this story. I am a huge crime junkie so I have watched and heard TONS of stories and THIS ONE IS BEYOND DISTURBING

One always hears from true crime RUclipsrs that the case they are talking about is the worst case ever. I believe this is truly one of the worst cases I have ever heard. I will never forget this evil.

There’s a 2 hour interview with analysis and the descriptions of her body make what he says sound impossible: what he did and how he could talk about it so calmly like he did. He consensually… made… one big hole instead of two with household objects. There were pieces of things from inside the abdomen around the closet floor… truly a rage filled freakout that built up and was resolved a few times with alcohol, passion, and anger. Then it hit a point of no return. The fact it happened in the closet tells me he wanted to silence her, finish whatever he started, and let her die as she would from no real lethal action… maiming until hemorrhage…truly monstrous.

This is one of the hardest stories I've seen, just wow. I cannot understand how neighbors could hear that and not call the police. It had to be horrific sounds I would think. This is so sad
I've heard about this case a year ago from another crime channel complete with the interrogation. This is one of the worst cases I've ever heard done by someone to their partner. He lied many times-that he didn't know what happened, she said her ex-husband's name during sex and it made him angry and the last one was it was 'consensual'. Seriously this is a monster.

Me too. This case is so graphic and disturbing , and Lopez acting like she asked him to do those things? Foul. Every time I see this case recommend I feel queasy and triggered as well. It's one of the worst cases and this is one of the perpetrators that I genuinely despise and have trouble watching. (The other being Darrel Brooks, because he's so annoying and disrespectful, he gives me the heebie jeebies like this guy does)

This was such a disturbing case. It really messed me up for days hearing the details. Hard liquor and jealousy are a deadly combo with deadly results.

I’ve seen so many true crime cases, gruesome ones and this is the one that makes me feel sick. I guess I’ve heard a lot, but this one is absolutely horrifying.
2:22 I’ve been a subscriber on this channel for about three months now and one thing that I appreciate and which sets this channel apart from other crime channels is the condolences given to the victim and the victim’s family. This also is being done before the story is being told. People are sometimes more fascinated with the perpetrator and forget the victim/s in these horrific crimes.

A gruesome reminder to call authorities if you witness something suspicious. You hear screams from another apartment? Call the police. You see a something that looks like an altercation? Call the police. You see a kid fighting of an adult that might or might not be their parent? CALL THE POLICE.
Yes, there is a chance it's nothing. But better be safe than sorry. You're not nosy, you're not overreacting - You're an attentive person who cares about others.

This is truly one of the most gruesome crimes I’ve ever heard of. The fact that one person did this out of anger is extremely scary. I can’t imagine what pain she must have gone through. Not going to lie, I've been avoiding this story for awhile knowing how he killed her. It's hard to imagine that a human can do this to another, let alone someone they claim to love. He is evil personified. Imma going to try to get through this video 🤞🏾🤞🏾

It's a woman who clearly speaks about her diagnosis and life as a psychopath. She has a successful career. Guess what career..lawyer. Interesting watch. Most psychopaths you'll praise 👏 as successful. Please learn more about anti-social personality disorder before just labeling this "man" as having it. The neighbors not calling the police when this happens reminds me of when my neighbors ignored my screams for help when my door was being blocked by my abusive ex when I was trying to leave. Then when something like this happens it's always, "I had no clue, poor me."

I’ve seen the full interrogation video on another channel. I’m a bit ADD and have a habit of talking too much and bugging people, but this guy made even me want to tear my hair out with how he would go in circles over and over. You just want to jump over the table and thrash him while screaming to just say it.
I've heard that full interrogation, and it is horrific. What that man did to her is monstrous and simply put, Evil! I truly can not imagine what she suffered that night, too have your guts ripped out through your vagina is incomprehensible. How can that even happen? I just can't put into words how terrifying that is. That poor girl, may she rest in peace.

What always bothered me with this case is how everyone happily takes his statement that she had said her ex's name. Theres no proof and I highly doubt she did. He was mad he couldnt use her items when she leaves to visit her family. No woman is gonna ask you to shove your entire arm up her. Get out of here.
I have watched hundreds, maybe even in the thousands, of true crime videos and not once has a channel refused to repeat the words of what had happened to an individual. I don’t even want to imagine what this animal did to her. May she rest peacefully.
the fact he thought he could just say he was smoking a cigarette and get away with it is hilarious yet disturbing.
I have listened to this case before. When it comes to what he actually did to her, his memory seems to forget but he knew what he did was wrong, and this is why he can't remember, or so he says but he can... He basically put his arm inside her and pulled out her intestines. If this is not horrific enough, the way he sits and talks about what he had done so matter-of-factly, speaks volumes to me. Truly horrific.
It was the highlight of his night - he bloody well knows exactly what he did.

This man was sick and twisted. The things he did to her, which you never went into detail about....we're absolutely gruesome. And horrifying. I can't imagine the pain she must have went through. My heart goes out to her family and friends. May she forever rest in peace. And may Fidel rot in jail the rest of his life.

That 911 call gave me flashbacks to the call made when my cousin was unalived. Exact same hysterics, taking my cousins gf seven full minutes to give the address to dispatchers. Please look into the case of Jonathan Crews in Coppell, TX 2014. New court hearings were recently released. 🙏
He was a monster his entire life. It just took one moment for him to show it for all to see. He deserves D P not life.

It's nice that part of the interrogation was cut out, I watched something that included it and it sickens me what he claims happened. I hope the neighbors who just listened to a man literally gut a woman but didn't call 911 will feel guilty. That poor woman.

That is a TON of blood everywhere. So much so, that even I, a layman, KNOW that the boyfriend couldn’t just “not know” what happened. “Oh I just smoke a cigarette and her body fall apart when her clothes fly away I don’t know anything” come on...
Edit: hmm.. I dunno. I think I may, MAY, hear remorse in his voice. And, he did at least tell em what happened. It is NOT ok what he did, but I’m not convinced he’s an evil man, and it WAS a crime of passion. A disturbing one. Yet a crime of passion nonetheless. How wretched.

This is the one case that makes me feel physically ill, I know the details from other videos and what he did is utterly evil.
This "person" isn't a person, he's a fricken MONSTER. I've heard other reports that went into full detail of what he did to her and it made me feel sick to my stomach. There is no way that any of what he did to her was consensual, there is no way that she enjoyed what he was doing, and in my honest opinion he got off way too easy.
My heart goes out to the victim and her family and I hope that they can find peace and happiness in their lives again.
This is the kind of person that screams and freaks out to the dispatcher but the second he hangs up, he’s immediately silent and collected
