- Yes, this is a little late ..... but maybe your prom is next week and you still need a dress. Or maybe you bought a dress online and it came in lookin' like a child's halloween costume. Or maybe you want to get an early start on next year's dress... Or maybe- and most likely- you're just watching this video as a tool of procrastination and time-wasting and u have no intention of ever making a dress.

Once I talked to a guy at a party who happened to live in my neighbourhood. We were both drunk, so it was a little awkward afterwards. We sometimes saw each other on the street and saying hi got increasingly uncomfortable. One day I went for a walk and saw him walking in my direction in company of two dogs. I thought to myself that it was only gonna get worse and wanted to say something to break the cycle of looking away and mumbling hi, but I only had a few seconds to think of something. So as he walked past me I took a deep breath and said "wow, you have a lot of dogs!" He just said yeah. It's been a year and sometimes it still hits me right before I fall asleep.

You know, what I like most about these tutorials is how easy she makes it seem, not sure if it would actually be, but it feels like I could do it. I've always been terrified of sewing for clothes for myself because I don't know how to use those premade patterns they sell. Her "screw-ups" definitely gives me "permission" for me to do it wrong sometimes too! Plus, her randomness makes way more entertaining than most sewing tutorials for sure!

I made my daughter dresses out of: a pillowcase, a part of a duvet cover, one of her dad's old tshirts, and a shower curtain. But she's only 5, so pretty easy to please lol

I didn’t make any of these dresses even though I love them but I DID use the sweetheart neckline on the wrap dress to make Mia’s blue dress from La La Land.
