If I fly my bike to a foreign land my number one tip is to pack it with an airtag! Definitely agree on appropriate pacing.. erring on the slow side when doing multiple days and don't be macho with the gearing..your legs will appreciate a granny gear if riding hilly/mountainous terrain.
Really good job, every cyclist, especially those new to longer rides will get something from this. I've done a lot of bikepacking and as you say mind set is everything. It's a different animal so just enjoy going slow. I love the pictures of the baguettes strapped to the bikes, primo energy bars!!!!
