Great review….would I be correct in understanding that if the tubes need to be topped off you need to start the pump before inserting it on the valve? Do you find this tricky or is it fairly simple? Does it engage on the valve well?

I love the Sendai area and the shrine is magnificent. There is an amazing waterfall nearby with a Shinto and Buddhist shrine.

Unfortunately crashes and cycling will always be a factor in risk for reward, its in our nature to press the boundaries, our expectation vs ability sometimes gets the better of us though whether it be novice or pro, these are the margins that we unknowingly and sometimes knowingly dance with, and this allure that alot of us gravitate to that makes cycling so intoxicating.❤ Glad that you are ok, wish you great rides ahead!

what an awesome video, Japan is so beautiful and diverse place i have seen from videos like this anyway. never been but always love the culture and have some climbing friends from places like Japan & Korea. From what people say its a very clean country, and inline weather with Vancouver Island in Canada, just a big ocean between :) how did you find the diet Carolin? the temples are always very impressive, & general building architecture. Thanks for making this wonderful scenic cycling video, i hope you are healing after the horrible accident earlier in the year. i know how you feel after 10 surgeries in the last 6 years Jaw surgery is not nice thing to go through and takes time to heal. we do miss that beautiful smile :)

Yep, really enjoyed that. I've just returned home from Japan, not cycling, it's a special place. I must have been 15 times since my first visit in 2012 which was a guided cycling holiday.

I test rode the Niner RLT 9 RDO years ago. It was really comfortable and upright. I wonder if the steel is the geometry. Anyway, the bike was too expensive for my budget so I went with another brand.

Its incredible how many group rides drop the beginners.

I agree. I have my bike with me and I've been cycling in Thailand and now Vietnam. Just having your own bike, with your own specific set-up just feels better. Yes, I had to pay a little extra, but it's worth it. I just cycled to Hoi An and it was great to be on my own bike.
