First Sonic Movie 3 Trailer Revealed At CinemaCon 2024! - Reaction & Breakdown!

- Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is one of the films Paramount is showcasing at Cinemacon in Las Vegas right now, and that presentation included a whole trailer of the blue blur fighting his angsty rival Shadow. Unfortunately, as of this writing, none of that footage is available to the public. But we do have a description of what went down. According to DiscussingFilm, the footage shown at the event featured Jim Carrey returning as maniacal scientist Dr. Robotnik/Eggman, who has apparently gained weight since we last saw him in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. There’s apparently a line about him taking in a lot of “carbohydrates.” While I know Eggman is a bigger guy in the games, I hope this isn’t just going to be a gateway into fatphobic jokes for the whole movie. Also, apparently, in the trailer were scenes of Sonic fighting Shadow alongside his friends Knuckles and Tails, as well as a different scene of the hedgehogs fighting in the sky on Shadow’s motorcycle. They would have hired him during the pre-production stage, before the filming started. They're just doing a really good job of not getting information leaked.

No it’s real bc I believe there was a short teaser of the third movie at cinema con and if you actually watch the video he prob explains what happens
I know the teaser trailer didn't show Amy, as her name is not shown in the descriptions. But I think they could be saving her for the full trailer, as that will be longer than the teaser and she could have a longer appearance. I think this teaser was just meant to focus more on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow and Robotnik. My hope for Amy still stands! Other than that, I'm very happy with the info that we've gotten today. I didn't expect there to be a trailer already. I look forward to when we'll finally be able to see it 😁

New York City? Obvious choice! Remember Shadow the Hedgehog? That was taking place in like Central City or something like that at the beginning of Black Arms invasion where they contacted the presidents aid on GUN/Military side. So I BET we’ll be seeing someone playing him in the movie. Shadow also fighting Knuckles, Tails and Sonic I speculate means there will be STRONG influence of Black Arms with him. SO EXCITED as more news comes out!
One of my favorite parts in the archie comic was in the Sonic Universe Treasure Team Tango.
When the introduced the Dark Rider and mention that Shadow did the custom paint job and modifications himself as a hoby.
I do hope they keep that side of him in future movies especial once Team Dark is officially formed.
I believe that the trailer that they unveiled at cinemacon is an altered one so Shadow's VA is hidden until they release it to the public. My guess is they are releasing the trailer on April 26th because for the first movie they revealed the first trailer at cinemacon 2019 and released it to the public on April 30th. And I think they are following that pattern.
Hey Richardo, so I spoke with a guy who did attend the event and I asked him if the Cinemacon teaser he saw was going to be released to the public, and he said "yeah, next month." And this also lines up with a tweet that a reliable leaker had posted earlier where they said to expect a trailer late April or early May, so I think it's highly likely we'll see something next month or June.

I am disappointed that they did not show any footage and that Shadows voice actor was not revealed. It is interesting that Shadows motorcycle will be in the movie and New York City is defiantly going to be for a Westopolis scene so the Shadow 2005 game is going to have a lot of involvement. Still a few months until a full trailer gets released.

Personally I think the trailer is gonna be released pretty soon. Because the first trailer for Sonic 1 (the one with the old design) was also revealed at cinemacon, on April 4th, and was released April 30th, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do something similar with this movie, although we will probably get the trailer around a month later then we got Sonic 1’s trailer, since Sonic 3 is releasing a month later then Sonic 1 was originally planned to before the redesign

I'm guessing that the public trailer will drop sometime after the Knuckles series airs. The final episode for Knuckles might have some teaser for 3.

Though it may be based loosely off of Sonic Adventures i think Shadow will most likely rob a government building that is holding one of the 7 chaos emeralds. Shortly afterwards begins the whole Radical Highway chase sequence.
