How to Use WinRAR

  • You can't open any compressed RAR files without the WinRar program. In WinRAR, You can also create compressed zip or RAR files, extract them before to share on the internet. Let see the steps, how we can use the WinRAR.
    1. Open your web browser, and type Winrar in the Google search bar.
    2. Click on the first link of the win-rar.com website as showing in this video.
    3. Click on the Download WinRAR blue button.
    4. A Save As window will open to select a location on your pc to download the Winrar setup file.
    5. Click on the Save button, and this will start downloading the WinRAR software.
    6. Click on the Up arrow, and select Show in a folder from the dropdown list.
    7. Select the WinRAR setup file and double-click on it to start the installation.
    8. Click on the Yes button in the confirmation box.
    9. Now, Click on the Install button.
    10. Click on the OK button when it asking about associating WinRAR with other file extensions.
    11. Click on the Done button once installation will be completed.
    12. This will open an evaluation copy of WinRAR.
    13. Select the files from your desktop, and click on the Add.
    14. Write the name of your Archive, and you can also select the Archive format as RAR or ZIP.
    15. Here, we are selecting RAR, and then click on the OK button.
    16. See, we have created a compressed RAR file.
    17. Right-click on the newly created RAR file, and then click on the Extract from the list.
    18. This extracts all the files in a folder, which were in the compressed WinRAR file.
