THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!!!!! I didn't knew how to select the files Vice-Versa and I really wanted to know soo badly and I found this video after many Months!! And now I am very happy cuz I wanted exactly THIS!!! Again, THANK YOU!!! From INDIA!!!!🙏
Hi Triija, Absolutely, I appreciate it when someone goes out of the way to write something nice or ask a question. Thanks for noticing and for watching my video.
Hi Deea, I'm glad you found the video useful, thanks for watching! Technically you cannot make your drives have more storage, as they come with a preset amount. You can delete items, which will help. I recommend removing pictures or videos, as they take up a lot of storage. I hope this helps!
Hi Cascina, I recommend creating the folders first with the files saved within them. Then, copy the main folder that you want to copy to the USB Drive. Plug in your USB drive, it'll usually show up as E: USB Disk on your File Explorer. From there, you should be able to Copy (Control+C on your keyboard) and Paste (Control+V on your keyboard) to your USB drive all within File Explorer. I hope this helps you.
Hi, you talked about selecting what about de-selecting. because if you have a whole heap of photos in a file ,and you only want to select all the photos plus a two files. How do you de-select?
Hi Marilyn, You can hold CONTROL+A to select all of the files. Then hold CONTROL and click the files that you'd like to deselect. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Hi, when I bought my laptop which is running windows 10, the seller used a keyboard shortcut to turn it off, I couldn't find anything on internet how she did that, Can you tell me if you know that?
2:05 it would be nice if Windows had an option on the right-click menu to Make New Folder from selected items, instead of cutting and making a new folder, finding the folder and pasting.
Hi GDSnake, Unfortunately, Task Manager doesn't have multiple file selection functionality. To select a program/process, you must click each one individually.
Hi, i have a big problem... I don't understand why my Ctrl-key not staying selected when i'm pressing the button for selecting different file... Every time I need to push the button ctrl when i want to select a file, if not everything will be de selected.... Please help me, I have windows 10 pro, my notebook is Asus TUF FX505DT-AL086
Hi Emanuel, If you're using a laptop, you may need to hold the Fn key in addition to the Control key. Laptops have a limited keyboard, so some shortcuts won't work without activating the Fn key first. I hope this helps you, thank you for watching!
Hi Just Moxi, Click on the 1st file that you want to select, then hold down control and click on the other files. To select all files within a folder, do control+A to select each file and folder. I hope this helps.
How to copy selected files and creat shortcuts to them at same time without right click switching off between 2 tasks forcing you to re select files for 2nd task ie copy and create shortcut????
Hi Rip Gaming, Do control+A to select all of the files. Hold down control and click the file that you don't want to delete to deselect it. Hit the delete key to delete the rest of the files. I hope this helps.
Hey Japowger, After selecting multiple files, you can hold the CONTROL button to select individual files without deselecting the previous selection. I hope this helps, thanks for watching.
How can I stop MS from deselecting folders if I accidentally click in the white space. This does nothing but waste time and is quite often something that happens on a regular basis. Only thing I can think of is if you select two folders and then copy or cut or delete and then find two more folders whoch obviousy becomes a big waste of time. But if I have 20 folders/files that need to have actions done on them-no doubg I will have to reselect folders more than one time. Same thing with doubling selected folders. If you select a folder and then let go of the touch pad button while moving it, it recopies folders already selected. Now yu have to delete those folders which in reality-you are going to have to reselect folders you want to do an action on. Finally, in Windows 10, what is the purpose of placing a button that changes your view right next to the button you would oress to scroll down-all the way on the right side of your screen. Is there a way to change that or get rid of it.
Every company in the world except Microsoft IMPROVES their software with each new version. MS does the opposite. What used to take two simple clicks (Organize➡Select all) now takes several clicks plus holding down the control button. That was always an alternative to use in Windows 7, and for Windows 10 instead of removing the long way to do it, they removed the easy way to select all. This is the equivalent of Ford coming out with a new model car that doesn't have power steering.
Hi Michael, If you go to File Explorer and click the Search button, you'll see the Search Tab appear at the top of the ribbon. From there, go to the Options group and click Recent Searches to see a list of your search history. I hope this helps.
Windows 10 SUCKS.........if you opened a folder and had 10, 000 files and you can't delete the folder itself but need to delete those 10,000 file.... all you had to do was click the file icon at the top and click on "al"l like in Window 7 but Windows 10 doesn't have that option...smh
Hi Kosh2001, If you delete the preceding folder in the folder tree, it deletes all of the contents inside. It's the same as previous versions of the OS.
Thanks for making this video usually people dont make tutorials for miscellaneous tasks like this..
