Ukraine needs more territories inside Russia for the upcoming peace talks in order to not give Putin so much leverage in the negotiations.
Ur living in cloud cuckoo land Johnny
Yes stop dreaming
Imo, taking the land will make Russians more angry and unified, not work as a lever for negotiation. Consider how the US would react if, say, mexico did that...
@johnnytampocao7671 there will be no negotiations if Ukraine hold land inside Russia.
I think nato/Ukraine knows that, therefore they send everything they have there, to be able to avoid peace.
But as an Ukrainian citizen (even Russians and people in Nato countries).
Peace is the best option, even if Ukraine has to leave eastern Ukraine to the Russian population who lives there.
Only the oligharks earns on this war.
And the politicans who has signed the Paris Agreement, because they can blame Putin when the negative consequences of the Paris Agreement will take effect.
Putin has already stated he is not going to negotiate over Russian territory they will surrender it or they will remove them with force.
Over 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers reportedly deserted before reaching the frontlines after receiving training in France.
The troops were part of a new brigade, the 155th Mechanized Brigade, which was being prepared with advanced weapons and equipment, including Leopard tanks and Caesar howitzers.
These desertions are part of a broader issue, with Ukraine’s Prosecutor General's office recording over 60,000 cases of abandonment and desertion since the war's escalation in early 2022.

Zelensky is a comedian 🤣 😂

Always take Zalensky’s announcement with a discount. If there is a big ‘win’ Zalensky’s will go bazooka with his media spin. Little bit late for a Christmas gift for Putin 😂

C'est la bonne stratégie ! Bravo les Ukrainiens , maintenant : tous "nach Moscau" !

The first Kursk surprise worked but now Russia has lots of troops in Kursk this will be costly or it maybe is a tactical counter attack with a chance to inflict damage but no great territorial gains. Anyway lets see what unfolds but do not expect much change in this one.
Interesting that Ukraine chooses Kursk for this offensive as this is where supposedly ruSSia is making great progress with its north korean goons...basically pootin can't conquer Ukraine and cannot defend ruSSia...what an eye opener !! Well done Ukraine !!
Yes, Ukraine is winning 🙂
Ukrainians are sacrificing the most elite units to keep 0.0000001% of Russia. While on the other hand, they have to start mobilizing 18-year-old boys
Of course kid, that is why Rutte told the world Russia can defeat NATO within 5 years?
Read up on the event -- not really any sort of success for Ukraine, rather a loss of men and equipment for nothing but short term PR.
Don't listen to people telling you russia is making great progress in kursk. 5 months in, 60k troops involved, half the territory taken back and the whole area is mostly fields. Who can seriously call that great?
I think they can and they should, considering how much Russia has lost crew and equipment trying to strike back. Fully confident Ukraine leadership know what to do.
Nope coz they are incompetence

It is PR for Zelelsky on blood of ukrainian soldiers. Russia knows more about plans of ukraine than you think.
No mention of the skirmish and attacks on the Kinburn spit.... the extreme southwest of Crimea. I have long maintained that one of the reasons for the Kursk offensive is to divert attention from the south to the extreme north. I suspect a push into Crimea before summer.

In reality in Kursk Ukraine is being meat-grinded, as long as you can replace the losses you can keep the territory, also, without NATO support Ukraine would've lost long ago, so its not Ukraine alone.
I’m pretty sure they were ready bc the Russian state media was watching the offensive live on a screen with a Russian reconnaissance unit
Desperate move
So counterintuitive. Seems unrealistic that Russia will negotiate a territorial trade.
That move is also a buffer that protects Kiev.
Hella yeah, not just on that part of the country. The offensive can be somewhere else
Last throw of the dice 🎲 The Southern Kursk region pocket has been halved in size since August 2024. Meanwhile Russian forces continue to take ground on the real frontline in the East.
the kursk region plus the Russian Armed Forces offensive operation in the Kharkiv Oblast, looks like you maybe going backwards - considering you started at Kiev
Kursk is where these Ukrainian civilians, trained by NATO for 2 weeks to be a super soldiers and hope they can shoot something. Instead of the Russian soldiers they face the North Koreans for a warm up. NK soldiers are there for training thats why the Kursk region is still open.
They have deserted already apparently!!, Ukraine hasn't the manpower or logistics to hold what they have, let alone go on the offensive.
The answer is NO because of North Koreans in Kursk.
The invisible North Korean troops again 😂
DW and CNN told you that? If they told it then it is 100% true. 🤣
Very bad for ukranians. Since first Kursk incursion they lost a lot of territory in east and could´t maintain ground in russian soil. It will only burn resources and will achieve nothing
