@ IDGAF. Living in a spineless country makes me sad. You don’t have to bring other countries into this conversation
For context, an independent state like Germany can use its funds anyway they like. If they choose to support an NGO in a another country or not is their right as it is their money.
If NGO's like those mentioned in the videos support terrorists, then the humane thing to do is not support those NGOs.
Maybe its in German mentality to be against human rights..
why ask germans money? why not those NGO fund themselves?
@@ColoniaMurder20 This is your argument now?! Well, in that case, let Germany cut all funds both to Israel and Palestine. Sounds fair, right? But no, they keep going on and on to support Israel.
@ColoniaMurder20 that's like asking a homeless why he doesn't buy a house
Why not make the aid be dependant on willingness and goodwill to make peace?
It has been 100 years where the Palestinians refused or broke all peace deals, isn't it time to change things up?
This is an idiotic comment
Most of these NGOs forget that Israelis also have human rights
German Government funding NGOs in other countries who support Hamas by giving moral edge
This is Surely a Foreign influence
I remember several years ago a newspaper found out that Germany was still paying a small amount for development in China 😂 But as absurd it was, they were afraid to stop it, because they were afraid it would send a negative message….
Maybe these donations need a better overview and recalculation. I am sure they also have to fight for all this funding from the government.
In Germany such a NGO receives money from the german government…
German government: Lets atone for the holocaust by supporting a new genocide.
there is no genocide, in gaza
learn the definition of the word before you say it...
If there would be really genocid and most of the people died already, why do they demand always for more and more foods and more money? For whom, when most of them would be already killed?
227,000 yemeni were killed by saudi Arabia but you didn't call that a genocide... that's because it wasn't, they were casualties in a violent war just like Palestinians. Casualties of war..
if there is genocide in Gaza then why has Egypt closed it borders from Oct 7 2023 and before
Look up the Civil Peace Service and see what they actually do - it's a tiny fraction of what German taxpayers spend on the military. These programs are incredibly important because they support local groups working on the ground to change people's perspectives away from violence and hate, step by step. A lot of commenters here don't seem to understand how valuable this peace work really is.
The issue is that Europeans often tend to support extreme leftist organizations. If you want to support NGOs, consider supporting those across the entire political spectrum. For example, there are Israeli NGOs working to combat poverty, support students, and more. However, very few of these receive foreign support unless they focus on helping Arabs or criticizing the Israeli government.
I wanted to post a reply, but the censors at DW news seem to be preventing it despite me attempting multiple times and remove and words deemed aggressive such as 'war' or 'death' - will try again later today
@willc1294 And how exactly is that connected to what I said earlier?
@KalmanNotarius lol I can't make the point I want to due to whatever way the ai censorship works, that's the problem
Oof, not a good look Germany. It's fascinating to see how creatively the goalposts on "Never again" is moved around. Take care to not score ANOTHER own goal at home due to learning the wrong lessons from history. 😒
I don't even think this is due to Israeli pressure. The atmosphere in Germany especially under Bärbocks Ministry is utterly toxic and space for criticizing Israel is near nonexistent.
The piper played the wrong tune.
Germany supported Israel in the Gaza war out of guilt over the Holocaust ------- Erdogan stated , He also added that The Israeli-Palestinian war should not be evaluated with a psychology of indebtedness.
Perhaps funding cut is correlated but not caused by their being critical towards Israel. Those 'non-profits' just proved to be useless and harmful.
Why the entitlement?! They should get the funds from countries such as Iran, Russia, Egypt, Turkey or any anti Israel countries 🙄
The German government is finally stopping wasting taxpayer money on financing lazy guys who have nothing better to do.
No operation of repetitive outrage around here. Sure doesn’t seem like anyone wants to brainwash any comment readers.
As Europeans we should be careful to give Israel a carte blanche. That is not making the world safer. Europe needs to speak out for a two-state solution, finally as decided in 1947 or so by the UN.
Why is Germany defunding NGOs critical of the Israeli government? Criticism of Israel is forbidden in Germany.
Well they both vacation on Argentina for the same reason...
good decision - why fund guys who build tunnels to hide hostages
Anything for "Israel"
"never again to us, but ok by us".
thats bad news
Since 2023 Israel killed israelinwith helicopters, amd began the genocide for greater israel campaign, Deutschland complicited in it.
