Nasser and Atherton voices are music to ears.
I am so tired listening to the sweet and syrupy commentary of Harsha Bhogle. I will contract diabetes with his over the top giggly spiel. And Gavaskar it is all about staying in the shade, blood flowing in the veins blah blah. And then there is Ravi Shastri with his trace of bullet decibels
Very true
absolutely
I agree brother... Meanwhile our akash jhopra and that anchor sapru degrades our indian expert panel
Hearing Gower in the box as well. Lovely
England you played awesome game of cricket. Well done. But I have a question? Saud Shakeel catch was dubious. I'm a neutral cricket fan but one can easily say that was clearly touching the ground. Joe Wilson really need to put good pair of glasses.
I agree,that looked ropey.
The issue was that it was given out on field when that happens it needs very clear evidence to overturn the decision. The laws need to be revised because it shouldn’t have been given out
@@Mark-sg2ri Agree Mark you have a point. But If you were the Tv umpire would you gave that out?
Agreed, laws need to be revisited. There was no way the on-field umpire could have seen a low catch like that from 45-50 yards distance.
@@northof6041 Why he even gave that out? Soft signal is not mandatory. But what about Joe Wilson? He really need to look at his decisions or may be it's time to retire.
Worst decision of Saud shakeel by 3rd class blind third umpire also helped England won this match and series.
Results show how bad was the leadership of Silv erwood, Root and Strauss. Their crazy rotation and resting policies reduced confidence in the side.

Nasser and Atherton are some of the very few impartial and brilliant analysts of the cricket that even their critique and the guy like me who does not like to listen to podcast, doesn't miss any of their analyses even if it is 2 hrs long discussion. True legends and ambassador of cricket.
England have not only reinvented test cricket but done it with a smile on faces! 😀🤘🎸😎
Congratulations 🎉 England 🏴 supporters. What a aggressive mind set. I’m from Pakistan and obviously supporting my team even defeat really shattered me in tears but still I love test cricket and England is second favourite team. Congratulations for the series. Test cricket alive. ❤
Congratulations to England for their well deserved series win versus Pakistan. I'm a Pakistani.
What a test it was amazimg. Both teams played superbly. Two superb sides.Test cricket needs this.
Although I am English, part of me wanted Pakistan to reach that target today, for the greater good of test cricket. They were unlucky to fall just short after chasing more than 300.
Have been very impressed with the graceful & magnanimous comments from Pakistan supporters after both tests. Especially when 1 vital decision went against them today. Very sporting and an example of how sport should be . Pakistan are a young team and will be a force to be reckoned with in the next few years. Well done to both sides.
If Babar Azam had a spine he would’ve quit as a captain
Worth to watch this series.. Shows why test matches are the best...
Great Victory once more Lads, Re Rob Key as Nass was saying Deserves so much Credit for making the Correct Calls
For putting Messers McCullum and Stokes together to completely change the fortunes of our cricket team.
Firstly Rob Key has shown that he was the right pick to bring it altogether, I believe that was down to Andrew Strauss and now with a new strategy and a few wins our team is showing belief and ability to go out and get the job done.
South africa will be tough but should set us up nicely for when the ashes comes around again, we know the aussies will be an extremely tough opposition but with a bit of luck and a strong determination allied with a lot of character plus ability we'll battle them all the way. Limp cricket against the aussies will get you nowhere, we'll have to go for their throats and take it to them to have a chance of winning. Onwards and Upwards fellas, You've shown yrselves the way to go in Pakistan, Positive Mental Attitude-and back yrselves.
Congratulations again on Yr 2 wins.
Ben Stokes is a generational captain. We will be talking for years to come about what he has done (along with McCullum and Rob Key in the vision of appointing) to make Test Cricket attractive again. People are hungry to watch this side because they're going to go for a result, they're playing hard, well fought Test cricket that's attractive to everyone even neutrals. Wonderful stuff.
Great shift today, Woody!
@@geetraju3431 Hahaha beat me to it
Stokes leaving achievable targets was brave and genius!
Yeah, that collapse was a genius plan 😎
It acc was 😂 they went hard after they passed 300 because they didn’t rlly care
It definitely didn’t all go to plan; England were actually at least 50 to 75 runs short in the second innings but the bowlers were able to turn it around for them, thank goodness.
As has been said, against a stronger team they might have lost this game. I don’t wish to take anything away from them because they are playing exciting cricket. But to beat Australia they are going to have to improve a heck of a lot.
With the likes of Stark, Hazlewood and Cummins, Australia has a formidable pace attack, supported ably by the spinner, Nathan Lyons who has 450 Test wickets and counting.
And their batting is incredible; Smith and Labuschagne are averaging over 60, Khawaja averages over 47, Head is also around that mark and Warner weighs in at around 45 presently (though he struggles in England against the moving ball).
Hopefully success will breed success and youngsters like Pope, Crawley and Brook will be able to help Root and Stokes to post some good totals, with a fit Wood and Archer at Stokes’s disposal to go along with Robinson, Broad, Stokes and Anderson, if he chooses to keep going and not retire until the end of the series.
Lol. Clearly not a plan in the second test as there was a batting collapse and there was 2.5 days left in the test. You don’t need to set a getable target on a pitch to allow you to take 10 wickets in 2.5 days on a fourth innings pitch that was already spinning and seaming on day one.
🇵🇰✌🏻👍🏻... I'M HUGE FAN OF BEN STOKES... HE'S A FIGHTER.... HE NEVER GIVEUP. HE FIGHTS TILL THE END ... CONGRATS TEAM ENGLAND... RESPECT FROM PAKISTAN MATE✌🏻👍🏻
Nasser and Atherton legends and ambassadors of Cricket.
Love and respect ❤️❤️❤️
Match fees given to flood disaster; a wonderful gesture.
I m an Indian..but honestly this display by Stokes & McCullum's English test team was one of the best display of test cricket which I just witnessed after a long long time...maybe after Ashes 2005...
Agreed. Everyone said they could only win playing aggressive cricket outside the sub-Continent but they’ve made it work. Everyone seems to know why they are there. In cricket so much is in the mind, and they’ve got the recipe!
McCullum coaching works😍
@@forret rightly apt...
Congratulations to england on winning the test series in Pakistan. They really deserve it. Pakistan has problems as their main fast bowlers are injured and apart from abrar no one is picking wickets. In batting Pakistan led themselves down too...
@@mattg56 yeah england is playing strongly but these bazball only works in weak countries still you guys can't beat aus in aus neither you can beat India In india
Fantastic performance. Delighted for the Pakistani public & country that Test cricket is back after the tours from the Aussies and England.
Well done Nas for mentioning Keysey - McCullum & Stokes have done a simply astonishing job…. & it was Rob Key who picked them 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nasser hussain is simply superb.
They said it was a job for the boys well that boys done a pretty good job. Nasser once again brilliant
👏👏
What a test series 👏 👌. I have never seen this kind of test series 👏 😀 😳.. thanks to both teams to give us amazing series. Ben stock ❤ he is the new super hero of this generation 👏 🙌 😀
I think it's great. And it would be great if Pakistan had won this test - which they nearly did. It's exciting cricket, I don't mind losing a few games if they're all this watchable.
Good joke ..this series would have been the most boring had England didn't play with their new approach. It was set up for boring test cricket particularly one at Pindi
What a fantastic player HARRY BROOK IS
Gareth Southgate needs to have a look at what Stokes and McCullum are achieving with an aggressive attitude - the football team are to frightened to go out and dominate for fear of losing, which they end up doing anyway.
Spot on been that way for years now.
Stop bringing football into everything. Cant compare two different sports. Our cricket team has achieved far more than our footballers.
Rightly said Bill...that quarterfinal vs France was proof of ur statement....the English midfielders did nothing except following their setpiece whereas just look at France...France were deserved winner...Stokes & McCullum are playing test cricket just like France playing football....
@@scottfletcherr1457 of course you can copmpare - top sport is about the mentality more than anything else, the 10ths of a percent that add up to being a bit better than your opposition.
With almost the same team, England Cricket have gone from one win in 17 matches to 8 wins in 9, and it is about attitude. England football would rather lose on penalties than try and win with a modicum of attacking football. This is good enough for most of the time, but the big teams laugh in our general direction.
Stokes'captaincy is marrying the tactical flexibility of Michael Vaughan to the man management skills of Mike Brearley.
I love you sky cricket 🏏
Full credit to Babar Azam for dishing out some fancied Yorkshire pudding on a crystal platter to both Australia and England in last 2 home series........
Just watch his field placements against spinners and even against pace and watch all 5 matches and you will know what I am talking about..........
These commentators are just amazing. The knowledge they bring to it is just amazing. Missing Bumble too
It's the combination of coach and captain that's been the revolution... I don't think one without the other would of changed the results especially to this extent... They are both dynamic people in their aggressive and determined approach... It must be inspiring for the younger players coming through to listen to the advice and wisdom from two of the legends of the game!
If they're told to believe in themselves by these two they'll think to themselves, who are we to argue?
😎👍
this test series reignited the importance longer version of cricket.Truly wonderful to watch

Yea we have lost a closely fought series but not sure we only play well at home, our record in England is not bad either!! Plus Eng fast men outbowled Pak bowlers but u gotta take into account Pak bowlers' experience!!
No Shaheen Afridi, he’s a HUGE loss for any team
@@grahamkutner-simon8272 he played in the aus series. Still aus won it
@@grahamkutner-simon8272 I agree. I think it would have been very interesting to see this series with Afridi in it.
It wasn't cheating.. It was an honest appeal from England... It's umpires' fault and the rules (the concept of soft signal for a decision not referred via DRS)..
If the concept of soft signal was not there in the above case, this would have been a benefit of doubt and would have gone in favor of batsman.
But since there's a soft signal, in case of benefit of doubt, the soft signal (umpire's call) is given priority...
My takeaway - there should be no soft signal if the on field decision is not contested via DRS and is directly referred to TV umpire.. just let the TV umpire make the decision.. In case of DRS appeal, yes, a soft signal should be given before referring to the TV umpire..
Not to mention the atrocious umpiring by Aleem Dhar in this match wrt other decisions, as well as the tv umpire. We can all see the ball touching the ground.
Honestly, it looks like it touches the ground. No soft signal then for sure the TV ump says not out. The point of the TV ump is to get as close to the right decision, but he doesn't have the benefit of real time, 3D view, so that should also be taken into account. I think the soft call idea is good, but I wouldn't be averse to your suggestion. Thing is, even then there will be contentious decisions; folk love to complain and play victim.
Correction the umpire was Alam Dhar not Asad Rauf. Asad Rauf died in Sep.
@@boymeetsbush8232 sorry for the mistake.. Have corrected it...
Disagree with him about the 73-5. The reason England win is they go hard
one of the classic test series , grt performance, absolute gem
Ben Stokes is a fearless captain. I like his approach to test cricket.
Best two commentators
Tremendous accolades to Stokes and McCullum and "Bren Gun Batting". It's all good news. After 3 test matches Harry Brook has shown enough that he could be immense! Even a Lara / Tendulker / Bradman superstar, but we must also give some credit to Ben Duckett. 1 Century, 2 50's; and Crawley a century and a 50 too. England have got off to a positive start in games and that is heartening to see. Have we finally solved the endemic Opener problem at long last? One last point - if we are not going to bowl Jacks, can we finally find a spot for Sam Curran on the next series. That left arm over wicket option against Australia's left handers, just might be the hammer to crack a nut.
Yes after scoring a couple hundreds on some absolute roads Brook is the next Bradman 🤣🤣🤣
@@thecricketer7928 Are you trying to be smug? Because if you are, it's working! The boy is sheer class, and frankly we need as many stars as we can get.
Too early to call anyone a Bradman ffs
@@AmanKumar-de1kc ah wait and see! It's not white concrete flat wickets in Pakistan that prove it, Brook scores consistently highly on green Headingley seamers. So his technique is rock solid like Root. But he is far better than Root. He will be averaging around 60 for the next 10 years. Richards, Lara, Tendulker, Pietersen, Kohli. Even their first few debut matches ... you could tell they were special. When they take to test cricket like a duck to water; nerveless and everything looks easy, then you just know!
@@thomridgeway1438 I guarantee you he won't average more than 45 by the end of his career
So nice to hear them praising Rob Key because to be honest it was an appointment right out of left field and a very brave decision. Cricket is a very easy game from behind a microphone
Actually both teams were balanced if we talk about the squads the only difference was the bravery and believe that England showed to their pacers and Pakistan batted with overconfidence, they thought they will do it easily that resulted in loss
Pakistan cricket is being destroyed under Babar azam. They are going nowhere.
Harsh! They played very well and pushed England hard in both test matches
Not babar fault if you collapse in batting
@@efcdom1878 again same copy n paste.
Playing tests to win, rather than being afraid of losing and going for draws has provided cricket fans of both Pakistan and England a series never to be forgotten.

Credit to Key too!
Good to hear Nas praise Rob Key. I know they're mates, but Nas tells it how he sees it and Key has done very well so far - especially in the way he doesn't seem to tread on the coach or captain's toes.

Mark wood is 1.83 , he is not small in stature.
It is not difficult condition. Pakistan defensive approach leads to defeat.
Ben Stokes and Joel Wilson. Can’t think of a more iconic sporting duo
Wonder how Joe Root feels about the transformation of the team under Stokes must sting a bit.
I thought Stokes was a good choice but I don't think many of us knew just what a stunningly good captain he is he's going to be one of the best we've had ever and the choice of coach too they're reinventing test cricket and its exciting
Very big win for england and they change their test cricket but portraying as they are changing test cricket is absolutely stupid.

@@sreeswap1 Absolutely. Pakistan played good cricket, England played fantastic cricket and two brilliant, close test matches have resulted. Are you a salty Indian? Forget politics
What a match, brilliant teamwork by England. Can't wait for 3rd test in Karachi.!!!
This series defines the different mindsets of two teams.
More than anything I think england won because of there attacking and aggressive mindset as compared to Pakistan who were playing with that fear of failure mindset.
No bias there then?!?! Did you actually WATCH the game at all?!
Well said. I am a Pakistan fan and I agree with that.
Unfortunately we are not learning anything from the modern day cricket. Whether it’s internal politics, players grouping or simply lack of competence, there is something never right. But it’s a shame to loose test matches on your home soil.
@@grahamkutner-simon8272 he just saw the thumbnail of the highlights 😅
Err... no ? Pakistan tried to win both games and could easily be 1-0 up. Close to a draw in T1 and 20 odd short in T2. Good for them, especially T1 where they could have just shut up shop on a very flat pitch.
Even after retirement, these two are maintaining good diet and evidently doing decent amount of cardio. 👍
Congratulations England 🏴
Congratulations to team England ❤️❤️❤️
Does Sky air a full Test match highlight video on the channel? Something around 40 mins/1 hour that reviews all of the days in sequence (like the ones Mark Nicholas used to “host”)
Nice matching clothes combo lads. 🙂
England's real test will come playing in India against quality spinners on spinning conditions and more so on flat tracks of Australia taking 20 wickets where they haven't won a single test for the last 10 years or so. You look at the pakistan bowling attack and you could see their worst bowling attack ever and their batting is very inexperienced to handle pressure situations. It is not going to be easy in the Ashes next summer, but it has been impressive with the brand of test cricket England have chosen to play, which is entertaining!
We will still lose in India but then again who doesn't. As long as we compete in every series, win well at home and win 50% of away test series' then you are considered a top draw side. Remember the dominant India side were thumped consistently in England from 2011-2020.
New captain, new coach, new mindset.... maybe the Indian team should try that.... lost twice in South africa, whitewashed in New Zealand, blown away in Manchester, lost miserably to Eng in 2018 , collapsed in WTC final....& Yet here come salty indian fans questioning Eng...get a life

We’ll see after a year if Stokes and McCullum will be as good as the Aussie test team right now.
Both have transformed England with their aggressive batting and positive mindset.
So far India and Australia look a real match, but that’s in all formats of the game
Are u an aussie or Englishman?
In ashas they'll give flat pitch to Australia and win but in India you are not going to win if you don't have 2-3 good spinners
Test Cricket is Simply the Best, especially when England are playing like they are now......Bring On the Aussies !
Nasser on Rehan Ahmed… a call up for Essex U11s??? Very harsh, the bloke has been selected for the England test team, they wouldn’t have taken him if they didn’t think he was good enough to play. They selected him ahead of Parkinson which means he is the best leg spinner available. He should play ahead of Jacks no question. Look at what Abrar did on debut! 11for on debut, unbelievable performance.
Nasser Hussain,a guy who never gets old.
The good thing that happened to england red ball team was that they had hit rock bottom before stokes took over so they only needed to pick themselves up because there was no dearth of of talent and being prettymuch honest about themselves and being accountable.... unfortunately as an Indian supporter i find my team putting up excuses and seniors still securing their spot for themselves with favouritism and regional spirits ...i wish if India had risen like this ..because i find watching england play even more interesting than India ....
Congratulations to double cricket world cup champions team 🏴

As an Indian it hurts to see our team playing so badly since wc 2011...due to favouritism and regional politics....Indian team used play like this under the captaincy of Ganguly....hope our team could transform like England...but that's really difficult becoz of the too much politics that's been going on in Indian cricket since wc 2011...
In 2021 i said england have the talent to become a good test team but they need a good captain and here they are 3rd best test team in world cricket.
I don't remember that - where did you say it|?

Congratulations England
Stokes is a marvel. Wood is a diamond.
Well played Eng..Looking forward to India beating them when Eng come to our shores next. Always exciting to beat champ teams!!
Athers is GOAT cricket commentator !!
Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler are the chief lieutenants of Eoin Morgan. He is where this comes from. Stokes has applied Morgan's T20/1 day approach to Test Cricket to spectacular effect!
Stokes is definitely not that unique. He is just another example of what positive leadership can do in Test cricket. Steve Waugh, Ponting, Vaughan, Kohli, Dean Elgar all showed this in their own ways in the past.
Another thrilling, testing match. Pakistan played very well in the second innings , but England held their nerve. The old England would've drawn the first game and lost the second - what a difference. In Stokesy we believe.....more importantly the whole team utterly do, tbh, who wouldn't !!
5:42 - "He has completely galvanised them with virtually the same players"
This reflects poorly on Joe Roots captainship..
Always felt Silverwood, although a nice bloke, was the wrong coach for England, and Root wasn't a strong enough personality to drive things outside of that.
Top notch analysis ✨🍻🤙
Rob Key does deserve a lot of credit, just as Andrew Strauss deserved a lot of credit for England's turnaround in white ball cricket. An administrator can totally destroy a team but they can only do so much to help them - it's still up to the players to play the games - but Strauss did all he could to set up England to do well in white-ball cricket. Unfortunately, red-ball cricket got a bit neglected as a result and fell into a hole. Rob Key has now come along and set up England to come out of that hole and potentially spend some time at or near the top of the rankings. Under anyone else, Stokes may or may not have been made captain but I very much doubt that McCullum would have been made coach.
England will make it 3 0 on sat great series win well done lads
I’m thinking about WHITEWASH to Pakistan
Thanks 🙏 for coming to PAKISTAN 🇵🇰
If Ben stokes comes back to one day side of England and if he has Mccullum boom eng winning fifty overs wc
India team will go into transition by next time Eng visit here. Maybe Eng can repeat 2012
If only England football had a Key, McCullum and Stokes
Ruhani mamu
Brendon McCullum changed the way odi was played by newzealand in his captaincy nd now he along with stokes is changing the way tests shd be played
Lets get this straight, Rob Key deserves more credit than anyone else here. On the surface it's obvious and easy to give credit to the other 2 - but without Rob none of this would have ever been possible.
Well done Pakistan aswell, even without your star bowlers.
