Well its pretty simple.. Md Asif was the best "Seam" bowler i have ever watched on TV.
nowdays you have shami and some other good bowler who use scramble seam and ball jag in and out. no one does it like asif
finally someone who understand seam and swing are two different things.

ECB (ICC) trapped him because in the same place in that year Pak defeated AUS in test series and I guess in T20 as well, so, they want to trape all Our best players, Asif, Amir and Salman Butt who was made a newly Captain of Pak team at that time!
