the most interesting thing about his wickets is that most of the batsmen knew it will be an in-swinging yorker but still they were not able to stop it, he was furiously fast in his heydays

Two biggest unmatched phenomena I have in sports, still looks so unreal after all those years are
    1) Waqars in swinging yorkers which swung in the air before landing on the target.
    2) Roberto Carlos’s unusual swing in the air with his free kick.
They were unique master of their respective trades.

Baykar Pounis Pateela was a serial cheat and a match fixer. Most people here are unaware of the fact that Baykar Pounis excelled against weak teams (SL, Zim, NZ, Eng) and less important matches, and failed miserably against Australia, his record in world cups isnt great either. @@ammartanoli3774 Yes both were involved in match fixing, they were in it together. They developed their share of differences later on as both were self-seekers and opportunists with a strong desire for captaincy. After Miandad's ouster Wasim Was appointed as captain, most of the players were unhappy with his behavior, a number of players including Waqar were involved in the revolt that eventually led to Wasim's removal from captaincy. Its possible that Wasim held a grudge against that aforementioned group of players including Waqar.

@@krishnendubasu007 Who deserved captaincy more is a separate issue. From a cricketing point of view, I agree with your opinion, but my point is that Wasim & Waqar represented their country at the highest level were paid handsomely to perform this task, lauded as icons and national heroes yet they betrayed the trust of their countrymen by indulging in corrupt practices. Match fixing/Spot fixing is a serious offence, equivalent to treason and athletes who are disloyal to their country don't deserve any leniency.

Unfortunately, we couldn't even do that, losing test series at home frequently. I can recall at least 7. Shame Wakram his partner in crime was an even bigger fraud and supreme commander of the gang of match fixers. In short both were despicable human beings who did more harm than good.
