  • Let's make 16A Extension Board. Are you running short of sockets? Same happened with me, we bought oven but we don't had extra 16A socket to plug it.
    ATTENTION: 16A Appliances should not be run on 6A socket. It will cause overheating of internal cables
    When i search online for 16A board i found two things:
    - Expensive
    - Not sure about quality of product
    So i decided to assembly my own extension board with high quality materials at reasonable budget. Please see my video for detail process.

    We can draw only 16 Ampere current even if we use both sockets at a time (8 Ampere+ 8 Ampere) and if we want to draw maximum current from both sockets we have to use separate 16 Ampere fuses for protection against over load and use only wires to connect to main line as 32 Ampere plug is not available 😊

    Line and neutral reversed for one of the socket, so need to update with corrected one, since new persons might not aware of it. Its request

    Halo sir, Thank you for your video. But for your kind information, All are watching videos on RUclips to know something that they don't know about the concept. Here you are explaining and educating people. This is not your talent show, you are sharing talent with people who they don't know about it. The video should be run slowly and with a voice explanation. First of all, BGM is not necessary for this video. From this video nothing, Wii be understood by beginners. Make it once again with a voice explanation. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

    • @suryavishwanath8564

      completely stupid idea.. if you rload needs more current, then the wire carrying that current should also be able to withstand that much current..so you have to change the whole wiring of the extension board... else, wire will burn bro ..........

    Hi, I have a question about my Oven which is of 2000 watts. The place where I had oven in the house has 6Amp socket near by and it has only one socket and it is already in use by Refrigerator of 190L. I am planning to have extension board for oven and refrigerator with 16Amps socket from 6 amp socket. will it work or not . Please suggest.

    • @DIYBuddy
      @DIYBuddy  3 года назад

      To avoid heating of wires and circuits, 16 amp socket has different wires and setup. So you should not connect 16 amp connection to 6 amp.

    • @amitghosh6966
      @amitghosh6966 Год назад +1

      Also, we can't connect 6 Ampere board connection from 16 Ampere line as many electricians do because a 16 Ampere board is protected by 16 Ampere fuse or mcb so it won't trip if the 6 Ampere board is overloaded by say 8 Ampere load and thus the 6 Ampere socket and switch will burn so if such connection is to be made then a separate 6 Ampere fuse or mcb must be used with that

    Why 1.5 mm wires for internal connections?

    • @akshaygaming1869
      @akshaygaming1869 2 года назад

      Because 1.5 mm wire can withstand 14-16 amp current and most of heavy appliances use only 12-13 amp

      We can draw maximum 16 Ampere current from this board and not 32 Ampere (16+16 Ampere) because 32 Ampere plug is not available so we have to directly connect the wires to the main line in that case and also two separate 16 Ampere fuses for protection should be used

    • @amitghosh6966
      @amitghosh6966 Год назад

      But in that case you can't use both sockets at same time because total Ampere is 16 Ampere and Geyser will take around 13 Ampere so only 3 Ampere is left so you can connect some small device like fan or light only to the second socket
